First off my father and I arrived 30 minutes before closing. Waited about 3-5 minutes to be sat (not mad about it at all I mean come on we showed up 30 minutes before closing people are busy and trying to get home. I get it). The music in the restaurant was at the perfect volume for the amount of people in the area (some places it's too loud when there's no one there and too quiet when there's a lot) Once seated we pretty much knew what we wanted right away. They don't have appetizers we like so we skipped that. Got our fried shrimp and double fries. Hot fresh tasted amazing. Only complaint is there's not a lot of shrimp on the place. They are bigger shrimp but for basically $20 there could be a couple more pieces which is why I didn't give a full 5 stars. Now on to the service: FUCKING (I hope I can use that word on this app) AMAZING!!!!! Austin was the absolute sweetest guy I've ever had as a waiter. Super attentive, friendly, caring, and DID NOT make us feel rushed at all during our service despite how late it was. Mine nor my fathers drink was never fully empty before receiving a fresh one, made sure we had everything we needed before the food arrived, and checked on us often all while taking other tables, cleaning, restocking, and I think he was even helping in the back. You can pick from sitting inside or sitting outside with an amazing view of the beach. The staff is soooo nice our server Gabrielle was the sweetest. We got the calamari appetizer, it was delicious, nice and crispy and a good portion. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and it was delicious, the sandwich had a good spice to it, it was however a bit overcooked but not that bad. Went there for a nice meal the last night of our vacation. Started with an appetizer of Avocado Egg rolls which were quite tasty indeed. For dinner my wife ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with cheese and some mashed potatoes while I went with a Crabby's combo of Key West Grilled skewered shrimp and Caribbean mahi mahi, basted in key lime honey mustard with two conch fritters. EVERYTHING and I do mean Everything was wonderful. Our server Dean was on the spot with drinks, suggestions and super service. The view was fantastic. That's about it. The food is mediocre. Big, busy place with lots of families. The braised rib tacos were tiny, the coconut shrimp was the worst we've ever had. GO NEXT DOOR TO LANDSHARK. WHY? Last night, I walked inside Crabby's Oceanside at 10 p.m. with my boyfriend. The host asked, "Inside or out?" I replied, "Outside, if that is okay." Huge mistake. The host walked us out, and we noticed the bar. We asked if we could sit there. He said yes and pointed us in the direction. He didn't walk us over with the menus, which I thought was strange but nothing crazy. Once we sat, we quickly picked out a beer and looked at the menus. I wanted something special. It was date night. I enjoy steak, lobster, oysters, etc. Unfortunately, the bartender (who had two open cups behind the bar that looked JUST like the cups of beer she handed us) did not allow me to look at the menu. As soon as she gave us our beers, she began passive-aggressively complaining to herself out loud about how her side work was done, and she had nothing to do (but wait on us- which obviously wasn't important to her). I took note. Right after this inappropriate complaint, which only took a few seconds from the point of handing over the drinks, AND it was still over 50 minutes until close, she asked, "Do you know what you want yet?" At this point, it was transparent that she was rushing us out because she was unhappy she was still there. I looked at my boyfriend, then her, my boyfriend again, and said, "If I'm going to be rushed, I can't order." He ordered something for himself, and then I looked at the bartender and said, "Honestly, I'm not ready yet." She didn't say anything and just stared at me. My boyfriend decided to change his meal to a shareable portion at this time due to him feeling rushed and uncomfortable. I was flabbergasted. I walked out without touching my beer and had to take a walk to process how terrible of an experience I just had. On the way back, I called my boyfriend and told him to cancel the order and pay for the drinks. I called the store to leave a voicemail at the same time. They have not called me back or answered any emails. They refused to assist my boyfriend in the store. As I got back, he was walking away very frustrated. He asked for the food to be removed from the check before he even got it, citing poor service and feeling rushed. The bartender disappeared until the food was ready claiming she was going to "check and see" because she "thought" it was ready. Now the bill comes out, and she refuses to take off the dinner. He's forced to pay for food we did not want in any way because he was forced to order prematurely and our appetite was ruined from the bartender's disgusting attitude. He's black. The first words be said to me when he saw me was, "I had to pay for it. She wouldn't take it off the bill and I don't want anyone calling the police on me saying in trying to dine and dash." We went next door and nibbled on the food with a drink. Your food was awful. Your service was awful. Landshark treated us much better. I left a $10 tip for a $5 beer at Landshark. Nothing was left as a tip the with Crabby's crabby bartender. Worst restaurant experience of my entire life. I want a refund. I came here because I had a good experience once before and wanted to enjoy that same energy and food my boyfriend. I won't ever come back after last night. That is not how you treat customers, period. We can talk about all my education, certificates, and accolades that prove I know what I'm talking about- but, literally, a dog would know better. After I already stated in this review they have not responded to my calls or emails (to the email provided in their response), they tell me to send another email. They clearly don't care to fix the issue, nor are they competent enough to read. read more

My father-in-law took us here for breakfast. The menu has something for everyone. Our food was delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We sat out over the ocean. I would highly recommend Crabby Joe's and look forward to eating there again read more

I spent a wonderal day with my wife and ended with ended are day in Daytona Beach at Crabby's Oceanside. Hoping for a romantic sunset, the Florida sky didn't cooperate as often the case at this time of year, but with a cool breeze sitting outside looking at the Ocean it was still awesome! The food we had was awesome, we started with the Grilled Oyster Trio and steamed middle neck clams excellent!! I had the Sea Scallops over creamed corn w/bacon. My scallops were large, big portion (at least 10) and cooked to perfection, melted in my mouth, I was happily surprised on how great the creamed corn went with Scallops. My wife ordered fried Shrimp w/ crispy fries, the Shrimp were Crisp, again cooked perfectly as were the spice dusted fries. Ended with a piece of Key Lime Pie, yummy, the service was excellent but real Kudos to Chef and Kitchen Staff as all dishes were executed to perfection. Highly recommend! read more

I also had the Caribbean street corn which was heavily seasoned with Cajun which I enjoyed very much. However, the coconut rice tasted a little weird. It reminds me of Vietnamese dessert. I had a white sangria to accompany my meal and it was just alright, a little sweet and watery at the same time. Service was a little slow considering it was a slow night. Stopped in for Happy Hour after work to check it out! Was able to sit in a/c comfort at the inside bar with the amazing oceanside view. Was during soft opening week, so there were still kinks being tweaked out. They also hadn't finalized bar plates menu. So I ordered the Ceasar Salad w// grilled shrimp skewers. Yum! Seemed busy but I've served tables before and that's no excuse. Our server took our drink order & came back w our drinks. Dr. Pepper's carbonation was off or the syrup:carbonation ratio was off. He got new drinks no problem. Brought out the appetizers & the gator bites had more fried peppers in the basket than it did gator. 4 of us ordered salads which took forever to come out. Not even 5 mins after, they brought our food. Personally, I like my salad before my meal. Guess I could have specified though. Not to mention, we ordered our salads without tomato or onion & our server brought salads with all the toppings on the side and said something along the lines of "I put everything on the sides of the salads because it was too much to remember or WRITE DOWN perhaps".. tried food and was enjoying my mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese.. tried my crab cakes and wasn't too impressed but figured as long as Everyone else was happy.. so our server comes and asks how everything was and my mom wasn't liking her salmon on mashed potatoes but wasn't trying to complain so she told him and he apologized and offered something else or to take it off the bill. He walked off with the salmon & I asked everyone else how theirs was and they all said it was very bland. The shrimp Alfredo & Cajun chicken Alfredo barely had any sauce on it and the chicken was very chewy. My cousin said even the garlic bread that came with the pasta wasn't good. We are not complainers at all but it was awful. Not to mention, before we even got our salads, the servers came up to the table next to us and was naming out dishes to see who had what and he tried arguing with the guy about what he ordered so the guy just said it looked fine he would eat it. When speaking to the manager, he made a point to come over and ask each one of us what was wrong with our food because "bland was something they normally never get." I explained to him what was wrong with each dish & he again told him that we don't normally complain and he said he just wanted to make us happy and satisfy us. He told us to let our server know if there was anything else they could get us or if we would just like him to take care of it & I said yes please & he walked off. Our server came by and asked if everything was still okay and we said no and asked had he not talked to the manager and he was clueless so we asked him did we need to wait on anything or if we were good to go because I assumed we still had to pay for the drinks at least. He came back with a $45 bill. Said he took off everything but the drinks and salads and appetizers. This restaurant is it in the perfect location in the shores of Daytona. Their outside deck and seating is oceanfront and absolutely breathtaking even for locals like us. I had the coconut shrimp. My husband had these scallops, and all the food was delicious. Our server was on The ball I think her name was Jody and she was a tentative and never missed bringing a beer to my husband. And recently of no fault of the restaurant they are short staffed and you walk up see more than half of the tables are available and there is a 55 min wait. Our server was top notch and we have nothing but good things to say about it. While the service was great the food unfortunately not so much. It didn't even meet our lowered expectations. I had blackened grouper (which I paid a premium for) while my wife had coconut shrimp. Both were pretty much tasteless. I could taste the spices on my fish but nothing else. Candy was our server and she did fantastic. The food was good and came out fast! Almost too fast, but I would rather that then it take forever for the main courses. I do wish there was a larger portion of the mash potatoes with the stuffed flounder. The hogfish imperial special was good, but the sauce was more around the fish than actually on it so it bled into the mac and cheese. A separate dish like the stuffed flounder would have helped greatly. Boom Boom shrimp appetizer was good definitely had some kick! And the calm chowder was to die for.
