I really like this place. Since becoming more familiar with the city of Opa Locka I found this spot to be a guaranteed hot good meal! I am not a big seafood eater however I find this place to be pretty tasty. With beautiful display (the food) for me that is very important, real foodies love a good presentation as well before the goodness is devoured! The location is developing and the plaza itself has been rebuilt. Location mean everything! I had the 2 crab combo (Snow legs) which depends on the Season as far as what they have at the time , but the 305 should be Proud . Stopped by here last weekend for the lobster combo and boy was it delicious! My combo came with potatoes and corn all drizzled in butter and garlic sauce(just the way I like it!) There isn't a seating area in the restaurant, it seems like usually people just take their orders to go. You order at the counter and wait for your food to be ready. Very great customer service and the food was ready at a reasonable time. Highly recommend this spot for seafood. read more

If I could rate it lower I would. My sister told me about this place so I was excited to try it. Well I was completely disappointed. I walked in and it was packed which I always like to see because in my mind that means the food is going to be fresh! NOT! I ordered the shrimp and conch dinner. Now to start, it's very easy to miss Rita menu so I ask the gentleman a couple of questions he seemed a bit annoyed at the fact that I was asking him any questions to begin with. His current response was see the bottom of the green part that's supposed to tell you the difference between a combo and a dinner that. When all you had to do is simply answer the question which would have gotten me to order a libit more quickly and let the next person come up to order. Once I had all of thr info I needed I placed my order. He then did a calculation in his head and then proceeded to tell the young lady who was working the other cash register "hey ring her up". He then proceeds to start putting food in the bags i.e. organizing orders. Well to my annoyance she (the young lady with the pink hair.) totally ignored him and started taking the order of the person that was behind me. Talk about poor customer service. Now for the food I received...the shrimp was NOT cleaned and as a Miami native that is a MUST, no one wants to see fried shrimp poop when they're about to eat. The rice was greasy and hard with next to NO crab in it (that was the reason I ordered the dinner for thr crab rice). The conch was old and chewy as if it had been sitting there for quite some time and had not been properly tenderized to begin with...smh as that is a must when it comes to conch. The fries were not fresh at all and the macaroni and cheese tasted as if it was made with rancid milk. It had an awful after taste. And get this, I paid a whopping $34+ dollars for this lack luster experience and subpar food. I guess if I was a friend of the owner, or frequent customer I would have had fresher food as there was a consistent group of guys loitering in front. I'm all about supporting small businesses but what happen to small businesses valuing each customer and making sure they become repeat customers by giving them fresh food... especially for the prices they charge. MEDIOCRE, I've had better. The meal I ordered was a shrimp dinner which came up to 20$ and for that price I expected more food at least more rice. The rice didn't have any crab in it and it barely had any imitation crab in it. The Mac and cheese was basic and watery the broccoli was probably the only good thing. Tried this place after seeing many, many IG posts. Food was amazing, although the location was sketchy. Ordered the shrimp and king crab and the crab was amazing!! The seasoning was delicious! The food came with a side of crab rice which was also good. I was hoping to sit inside and eat, especially driving from such a long distance but there were no tables or chairs. It's strictly to-go. I'm from the hood in Atlanta so everybody saying it's in a "sketchy" area or whatever must be use to always having the finer things in life . But one thing I know is that the hood has the best food ! I told my girlfriend I wanted some crab legs and she named a few places . But they were all to fancy or not served how I wanted . I've been wanting to visit Crabman 305 for atleast 1 year. Finally, I was in the area and decided to give it a try. The garlic crab is amazing! I was skeptical of the overwhelmed garlic seasoning on the crabs but it actually balanced out. I also thought the potatoes would have been too soft but they were perfect. I have to admit this place doesn't live up to the hype. Food is tasty but it's not great, we came during lunch time and I had the lunch special wings and fries, broccoli and conch. Now I really love wings it's hard to give a bad review for wings but they really had no flavor they needed some lemon pepper seasoning at least but nothing , the fries tasted like seafood seasoning which for me it's odd and they weren't fresh and the broccoli was boiled FYI veggies should always be steamed if not it loses its properties, taste funny and the texture is just off I don't want soggy broccoli. The best was the conch it had the best flavor and the blue velvet cake was really moist these 2 are a must if you decide to try them out. To add about the customer service, the tall behind the counter does lack customer service qualities. He doesn't ask if you want any additional sauce if there's anything else that we need (ie. To drink) ... He just comes off rude. It doesn't hurt to smile sir .. Just saying. From reading the reviews I realized it's a hit or miss with them. I hate that I have to give them only three stars. I am from Northern California and we have lots of crabs spots. So in all honesty I am doing a bit of comparing... But I'm comparing them to a very similar establishment. I've been watching them on Instagram for some time now so I knew I wanted to try it out when I made it to Florida. My husband and I ordered the crab, shrimp, and lobster combo. The lobster was my favorite with the shrimp as runner up. The garlic butter... although it looked appealing left a lot to be desired. I added salt which is usually not required with seafood. I'm used to sweet corn so the corn came off as very bland although it was in their garlic butter sauce. The potatoes were pretty good... Although I also added salt and pepper to those as well. The mac n cheese also looked delicious... Always has on Instagram which is why I made sure to order some and it was not good at all. It was a big bland blob of noodles with cheese on top. Maybe because it was the end of the day.... I really don't know. There is no dine in which I knew gong in so I really didn't care. We paid $90 for our 2 plates and a side of mac n cheese and drinks. Pricey in my opinion since its take out. The prices are comparable to Benihana's. It made me wish I'd gone to Benihana's unfortunately. I feel really bad because i had many high hopes after seeing their pictures on Instagram. So I dropped in for lunch at about 1-ish in the afternoon. There were a few people waiting for orders they placed already and the cashier was on the phone taking an order when I walked in. He acknowledged me (thank goodness), and he wrapped up the call quickly and took my order. I ordered a large crab combo and 1/4 conch. I waited for about 15 minutes and got my takeout and headed home. The conch didn't make it past the parking lot and I opened it and it was crispy and delicious. Finally made my way over to Crabman. I'm a big fan of hip hop and see a lot of the guys posting videos raving about this spot. Man I'm glad I came here, this will be a weekly thing for us. Sure it's in Opa Locka but the strip mall it's in isn't bad at all. Some said the people working were rude but we got ace treatment from everyone in there. Ended up getting the The Boss Special (lobster small crab shrimp, mac n cheese, crab rice and corn) also grabbed an extra thing of crabs. Man I must that sauce is to die for. My friends and I had the sm crab, shrimp and lobster. We upgraded the crab legs to snow crab. It comes with crab rice and 2 sides. I chose the Alfredo pasta and broccoli. The total came of to ~$37. I would say Average at best for seafood. The shrimp were pretty good but everything else was a miss. The food looks seasoned and delicious....LIES!!! The crab rice is not real crab it's imitation which should then be called krab rice. See the difference? The area is extra sketch but that didn't bother me at all. My friend however was extra nervous. I came here yesterday, and let me start by saying that I like to see Black businesses prosper and I support them 100% however, customer service is everything, especially if I'm patronizing the establishment. I tried calling the restaurant several times so I can place an order, however it seems that the phone was inoperable, hmmm....weird! So Yesterday I came in, it was two people working the front counter taking orders (a young lady & a tall skinny dark young man I think his name is Jamal), while standing by waiting for my turn "Jamal" got into a confrontation with a customer who wanted his money back, he got into some exchange of words threating the customer and all. Any who, at this point an hour literally went by and the lady at the counter was still was saying "oh 15 more minutes". I ordered the fried tilapia, seafood rice, mac & cheese, & broccoli....oh and a flop. The food was bland. They literally had cracked crab shells in the rice, the mac & cheese was semi-sweet (weird), the broccoli didn't have any flavor, it tasted as if it was just boiled, the rice was still hard and it didn't have any taste, and the fish as you can see in the picture didn't have any flour on it. This place does not have any kind of consistency as far as the food is concerned. For the two employees working the counter they were unprofessional for a place of business, I wouldn't want them representing my business. I follow Crabman 305 Miami on Instagram, so when I came to Miami, I was looking forward to getting some seafood from here. I was so disappointed. The menu is HUGE and can be OVERWHLEMING at first sight. However, The staff was very helpful. I ordered the Lobster & Shrimp Dinner, which came with crab rice and 2 sides. I also got the broccoli, garlic potatoes and corn. After a 30 minute wait, there was no tartar sauce, so I got the conch sauce, which was good. Being that I was staying in Ft. Lauderdale, I said let me check my order before I left. There was no sauce, corn or utensils. When I asked for another conch sauce, they wanted to charge me $1. When I finally got to eat my food, the shrimps were salty, the rice was hard and the Lobster was just okay. I did like the garlic potatoes but overall I was not impressed and felt like I wasted my time and money ($$) read more

Visited this place while vacationing in Miami. The spot is located in a strip mall in the hood so stay sharp. The location is very clean. Red Fabulosa from the counter to the floor clean lol! Customer service was extremely professional and personable. The food was definitely worth the drive there. I had the crab combo with potatoes and corn, and my friend had lobster and shrimp over rice. Crabman 305 has changed my life. Not really, but the food is insanely good. The 1/2 conch with crab rice is absolutely amazing, and the portion is MASSIVE. I'm a fairly big guy, with a more than decent appetite, but I could only finish half of this behemoth portion of fried fruit of the Atlantic. The wings and fries. Where to start with these. The fries are seasoned with what I assume was a recipe given to the owner by Saint Lawrence, the patron saint of cooks. There is no way that a mere mortal developed this seasoning. The wings are cooked PERFECTLY. Not greasy, not soggy, not so overfried that you chip a tooth on the breading. Just crispy and perfect, with some seasoning mixed into the breading. The shrimp was incredible. Again, I have no idea as to what it's cooked or seasoned with, all I know is that it's delicious. The crab is of such quality that I genuinely fear for the safety of the staff should Jameis Winston ever come to town. The service can be a bit slow, but that is by no means exclusive to this place. And the quality of the food makes up for it. You can absolutely tell that it was cooked when you order it, so I see the slight wait as a positive. The seafood cooked here is so good that Neptune himself is probably weeping in a corner somewhere. Do not bother with anywhere else, stop and eat here. read more

Finally, this past Friday I was able to taste the heaven that is Crabman 305. Now the place is definitely not in the nicest of locations and it is set up for take out only, but I will sit out on the street if I have to just to eat this amazingness. For my first experience, I went all out with the lobster and shrimp dinner platter with cheesy broccoli and Mac and cheese (I wanted to try the conch salad, but they were out). All plates come with crab rice. The amount of shrimp they give you and the big lobster tail makes it totally worth the price! Plus the portions are huge, you can definitely make two meals out of it. The lobster was perfectly cook where it was easy to eat and not that rubber chewy consistency you get when you over cook shrimp or lobster. The Mac and cheese and the broccoli could have used a little more salt, but still it was so enjoyable. And now to the crab rice, if you pour some of the garlic sauce on there it becomes flavorful perfection! So as you can see I am a fan and can't wait to go back to try some delicious crab legs! I heard of this place from instagram and saw it as a treat for my girl being that crab is her favorite food. We entered and was instantly frowned upon since we are an interracial couple. Being that I'm African American I thought it would be easier if I did the talking. Approaching the counter I said goodnight, no response. I asked if I could get the sm crab meal which is 10.50$ and was told by the guy at the front with glasses that there is no more small crabs I have to get the 17$ crab or the 24$ crabs which didn't come in the meal form. So instead I just got 2 chicken dinners. I'm allergic to shellfish and from my understanding each order is made after being placed. That's why I ordered chicken w. Mac n cheese and corn. While waiting for my order on the bench i heard multiple order the exact same order which i oridginaly ordered for my girlfriend. I sat in amazement as i watch him take those orders (about 7 of them) and began to get furious. I later recieved my food after about 25 minutes and left. We sat in the car outside and began to eat when I saw I was also given rice as a side, great maybe he realized what he done and felt bad. Suddenly realized that my throat was itching horribly and my breathing bringing to shorten. My girlfriend rushed to the the gas station up the street to get me benadryl. THEY PUT CRAB IN THE RICE I DIDNT ASK FOR!!! And no where on the board says that all meals come with rice or that the rice has crab. On top of that the food was the most disgusting food I have ever eaten so bad I couldn't finish the non-shellfish infused items. No salt, sugar in that mac n cheese bland wings. I love food and this was the worst I have ever tasted. I even took a picture of my plate after I ate what I could finish. If I wasn't hungry and didn't spend 28$$$ on it I would have thrown it in the garbage.I had no clue that someone could mess up chicken!! That's shocking.
