I had no idea it was real Caribbean food it was the real deal.. Adno the manager, greeted us immediately, friendly and polite. He knew it was our 1st time he had some much patience with us he explain the menu in great detail. The food was flavorful and fresh. We will be back.

    Imitation goat, it's beef everyone

I placed an order for two stew goat and one oxtail. I received one oxtail and two stew beef. I called to inform them what I received and was told it was goat and they use the big part of the goat and cut it small .... Please rubbish. Every Caribbean person knows the difference between beef and goat. The meat has a lot of fat plus it didn't have the earthly taste of goat also it was shredded just like beef. I didn't want a refund I just wanted them to admit that they made a mistake. But they tried to gaslight me like I was an idiot. As if I don't know the difference. For this is unacceptable service. I shall not be back!

This lil carribean jem is a diamond in this lil Haitian neighborhood. My friend Jessica and I went on a Friday night and had the oxtails rice and peas and let's not forget the griot, my first time having it and I will be looking forward to my second encounter, with this yummy pork shoulder. The staff was very helpful, the only disappointment was they were out of seafood soup. The venue is a casual spot to order food Togo or eat on there outdoor seating area I thought that gave city vibes.

When I order fried fish, I expect the skin to be crisp. The skin on this fish was so soggy and it wasn't due to the carry out platter it was placed in for the delivery. The fish didn't taste fresh at all!!!!! I know fresh fish!!! It tasted like it was about to spoil. It was just nasty!!!! The fish was also not well seasoned. If I'm going to pay $30 some dollars for a meal, I want to enjoy it. That snapper just didn't hit the spot for me. My partner ordered a goat stew. The sauce was overly salty. If you suffer from high blood pressure watch out! In addition, the amount of meat given was so small. The stew was also overly oily. The delivery service was fast. That's the one positive thing I can give them. However, that may be due to them not giving freshly cooked food. I'm Haitian and a home cook. I was highly disappointed. These Haitian restaurants ask more money for their plates than other common places. 7 out of 10 times they don't hit the mark. We spent over $50 on these meals and felt that the money was wasted!!!! The pictures below are after eating some of the food.

Decent enough Haitian food. Griot wasn't bad but had better. Boulette didn't look like traditional Haitian fried meatballs but decent tasting. Diri djon djon was ok. Banan peze wasn't appealing . I also feel like they had been refried in oil. Tasted old Pikliz was decent Prices and portions were fine. Akra was horrible. It was heavy and didn't taste right Red velvet cake was atrocious!! The worse cake I have ever tasted! One bite and I threw it away, including the bite I had. Just no no no! Passion fruit juice was the BEST FRESH PASSION FRUIT JUICE I HAD. That is what will make me come back

Great place for Haitian patties. The filling has so much flavor, it's always fresh. I also decided to get the Turkey in sauce with black rice; the pieces of turkey was really small but the rice was prepared nicely. Please try the Passion fruit without milk, it tasted just like you're on an Island relaxing.

My snapper was good and the pikliz is nice and spicy. I realized I had some film type material in my rice which was a little disturbing but it had a good taste. I would return. Service was good I got my food at a decent time as well

    Griot
    Aurelie-Anna F.

Apparently taste does not matter to them. No flavor. Who the hell put flour in akra. Sauce on the griot that's negative put the shit on the side. Maybe they had a bad day but please do better.

Noam greeted us warmly and immediately helped arrange a buffet-style setup featuring all the popular Haitian dishes--everything was flavorful, authentic, and beautifully prepared. The GM, Malinda, was extremely attentive, making sure everyone knew what each dish was and felt comfortable, and Matta was very professional and efficient while setting everything up. This was a real test of Naomi's Garden's ability to handle pressure and a big group, and they passed with flying colors. Beyond the amazing food, we genuinely learned about Haitian culture through the cuisine. Incredible experience--highly recommend Naomi's Garden for both the food and the hospitality.

The collard greens had no seasoning at all and tasted like watered-down vegetables. The key lime pie was soggy and, on top of that, very small. Honestly, the only good thing about this dinner was the canned soda. Sad part is we've bought from here before the snapper meal at was super good about 4 yrs ago after that we bought the snapper again then it all went down hill from there I thought I'd give them a try again but I'm 100% sure never to order from here again. I had to throw the entire meal to the trash .Oh and the Mac and cheese is in the trash too. Either fire all the cooks or close this place down .

Chef Creole is one of those spots where the vibes hit you immediately. The music, the energy, the culture, the warmth. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming, patient, and kind. They were happy to explain the menu, made us feel comfortable, and honestly just radiated good energy. You can tell they care about the people who come in and that alone made the experience feel special, especially if you want to experience Haitian culture in Little Haiti. The passion fruit drink was actually really good. Different in a fun way, almost like a tropical Slurpee. They recommended mixing both flavors into one cup and that combo definitely worked. I'd give the drink a solid four out of five and I would absolutely get that again. The atmosphere overall was great, lively but not overwhelming, and it felt authentic and welcoming. Now, respectfully, the food just wasn't my cup of tea. I only tried one plate because I wanted to play it safe, and unfortunately my taste buds just did not align. The flavors were very bold and very different from what I'm used to. This isn't a quality issue at all, it's purely personal preference. I could tell it was a popular dish and something many people genuinely love, which tells me this is more about my palate than the food itself. The plantains and the seasoning on the plate didn't land for me, and for forty dollars I personally wouldn't order it again. That said, I would still recommend coming here if you want to try Haitian food for the first time or if you already love it. The vibes are immaculate, the staff is incredibly kind, and the experience feels authentic and welcoming. Even though I won't personally be back for the food, I'm glad I came, I'm glad I tried it, and I respect the culture and the people behind it. For someone who loves Haitian food, I can easily see this being a huge hit. Honorary five stars for the service, the atmosphere, and the overall experience.

If you're looking for something unique to try at the Citadel, Manjay is worth a shot. They serve Haitian cuisine. Portions were generous and in general, the food was kind of heavy. Many of the components I believe were made to order, so there was a short wait. Here's what my wife and I ordered: Appetizer: * Caribbean Conch Fritters ($14) - Manjay pikliz, honey mustard remoulade These were big and tasty. Six pieces, like giant hush puppies with conch inside. The plate came with pikliz in the center. Pikliz is like the Haitian version of coleslaw, made with cabbage, carrots, onions, and peppers. Manjay's version was spicy and yummy. Bowls, each with 2 sides and 1 sauce: * Honey Jerk Chicken Bowl ($18) - breaded and tossed in Manjay's homemade honey jerk sauce; with red beans rice and sweet plantains and scotch bonnet mango aioli * From Haiti with Love (Griyo) ($18) - Deep-fried Kreyol-style slow-braised pork; with banan payzay and toofay Both the chicken and pork were very good and flavorful. The pork was served bone-in. The rice and beans and sweet plantains were comforting and addictive. The scotch bonnet mango aioli was spicy. Banan payzay are Haitian pressed plantains. These were savory and starchy. The toofay ("legume") was good too. It's a hearty vegetable stew, essentially Haitian ratatouille. Our cashier was Roniqua and she was nice. During our visit, I think Manjay had the longest line (a good sign). After walking around, looking at the other food court options and seeing Manjay's high rating on Yelp, we were sold on Manjay. We dined in so we got real plates and silverware. We actually took everything up to the rooftop bar and ate up there. Our trays were bussed by the staff on the roof. Along with this location at the Citadel food court in Little River (just north of Little Haiti), Manjay has a casual strip location near the Miami airport in Doral. This Citadel location is the original; it opened in February 2019. The Doral location opened in 2024.
