service terrible it was a bit busy and Saturday but could have a bit of hustle to get tables cleaned and people waiting seated. Food cold and terrible had the Barbacoa breakfast bowl soggy chips all tasted like the salsa on it, elwe all complained about the food being cold. Then after a 30 minute wait and terrible food we wanted to leave but waitress never came back to give us a check. Also had to pour our own water. I had not been to a First Watch in a long time but we had driven 2.5 hrs to Sarasota and got there at about 11:30 so we felt brunch was the right choice for a meal! We had breakfast this past Saturday morning at this location. I've eaten at First Watch a good 5-6 times over the past few years, but have not reviewed them yet. I would like start by saying the ambiance was charming and clean. The waitress who waited on us was very friendly and attentive. We had the egg's benne with ham and home fries, grits, and a chocolate chip pancake. Now for the eggs Benedict the eggs slightly overcooked but overall pretty good, the home fries were decent (wish they were a little softer), the grits had a unique cornbread taste which we both agreed were tasty, the pancake however was slightly burnt on the bottom, but hey maybe they made a mistake that day, I will try again in the future. Another great visit I do like First Watch restaurants and have managed to visit all of them in the area. I don't think I have been disappointed with a visit yet, and that streak continues. Our breakfast yesterday went great. We have learned to add our name to their online waitlist on Sundays, so when we arrived, they were almost ready to seat us. Our upbeat server got me started with coffee. I ordered my usual choice, their Parma Hash Skillet, which took about 15 minutes. I like this dish, it has lots of ingredients topped with a couple of eggs, a good amount of food. When you order coffee they leave a pitcher with you so you can top off your cup whenever you like. Ketchup bottles, which disappeared a couple of years ago, are back on the tables. By the time we were finished the check had already been dropped off, so no waiting to go pay at the register.
