Food was cold. Hamburger steak was overcooked no flavor and and very tough. Cold slaw had large pieces of cabbage.

Second visit here and it wasn't a good one for most in our group of 5. Our waitress was new so we cut her a break, but some of our issues weren't her but cook related. We had overcooked sausage, biscuits that were delivered half way through our meal (and with a reminder), and burnt toast that was served (also after a reminder) after we were done eating. The friend who had overcooked sausage and toast didn't have to pay for her meal but overall it wasn't a good meal for any of the 5. I'm hoping I don't have to visit here again. Stopped in this morning for some breakfast. The restaurant was not as busy as you would normally find a Cracker Barrel being for a Sunday at 9-10 am. I kind of know why now. We were seated quickly. Restaurant was clean and what you would expect a Cracker Barrel to be. Waitress was very nice and it took her a few moments to get around to taking our order. Once we ordered it was about 1.5 hours before we seen our food. In fact, other patrons were served before us that came in after us. And a man and woman that sat behind us just got up and left because it was taking so long to get food. Once the food arrived I immediately laughed at the biscuits that were served with the gravy. The biscuits were nothing like I remembered them being from prior visits. These things were flat and looked as it they were the tops only of some sort of dinner roll. They were inedible. The gravy was also inedible. More flour than it was gravy and just had an off putting taste. I honestly could not put my finger on it. The hash brown casserole was barely.. and I mean barely done. Like it spent just a few seconds on a grill or in a microwave before being scooped onto my plate before serving. Eggs were ok. Sausage patties were ok. But, the fact that we waited 1.5 hours to get our meal and it was not perfect was sad. Very sad. I contacted customer service and all they offered was a voucher for a free entree. Not necessarily what I would have done. But, the customer service person was outsourced so I'm guessing that's all they are allowed to do. I have read articles of how CB is struggling to keep business, etc. now I see why. You are letting your standards slip. And slip on things you were well known for and should be pretty easy to keep consistent. Not sure what's up. But, it needs fixed. Busy busy Sunday- this review is specifically about our server Jessie. Personally I love that they have a star system for how many years they have been there. We had a party of 6 with all kinds of special requests and you know I made sure she got tipped over $30. She ran circles, and was soooooo nice. The food? It's Cracker Barrel... lots of leftovers huge portions. The gravy is basic at best. But who can beat the warm fireplace!????? And they have a new iced coffee that honestly was pretty awesome! Ok so, Cracker Barrel back in the day used to be my go-to for breakfast. Decided to stop with the kids and check it out since we haven't been there for a bit. What in the world have they done to the breakfast menu? Why does breakfast 1. Have to be so complicated and 2. Have so much food, one meal could feed a family of 4. For myself, all I wanted was a simple order of eggs, bacon and toast. I couldn't find it anywhere unless I ordered it a la carte. I ended up getting the egg sandwich on sourdough. My bottom layer of toast was mushy due to sitting in the kitchen too lone (my guess). One of my tomato slices was from the very top of the tomato (eww). Luckily I can only eat half a sandwich but really how hard is it to mess up toast, egg, tomato and mayo? My kids order was fine but my 16 year old only wanted French toast and it came out with eggs, bacon, gravy and biscuits. Like who can eat all that for breakfast. Eggs were cold but other than that the French toast was good and the bacon. Hashbrown casserole is Not what it used to be. I don't know, maybe it's just me? So, I want to give 3.5 stars but since I cant I'll do 4*. We came at around 730am and upon entry there was a lovely lady that greeted us. We spent some time in the store to admire the huge lollipops and chocolate. We then were seated and this is why my review would* be lower. I ended up getting a fancy(I dont drink coffee but seemed fancy) coffee and NO STRAWS... so for $4 the experience of the coffee was horrible and messy. My girlfriend also complained about drinking out of a cup. The food? Pretty good. My girlfriend really liked her country fried steak and I enjoyed my food but it wasnt anything special. Overall a step above most breakfast places with similar clientele. Would give 3 1/2* but I cant and the service (minus our waitress) was 5* so my 4* is fair. read more

I was wanting fried chicken liver and thought they it on their menu because I had gotten it there before. I was wrong so another disappointment. My dealership employer bought us lunch today. Many pre prepared meals , maybe 75 or so. I choose the fish. This is the first time I've had fish from Cracker Barrel. There were two large pieces, breaded and fried. It tasted and appeared to be a cornmeal type breading. The fish was excellent. It included for hush puppies, they were also excellent, cooked perfectly crisp but yet tender and hot on the inside. My side of broccoli was cooked perfectly, along with some grits casserole. It had a cheesy taste to it and was excellent. I topped it off with a couple pieces of cornbread. An absolute excellent lunch. Been to Cracker Barrel and usually love it. Have not been there in a while but was invited and treated by a friend today. So today I stepped out of my comfort zone. Uncle Hershel's breakfast option was gone so that was the first strike. But again went for something out of my lane. I went for the roast beef dinner. I am picky about my meat and like it lean. Then the table next to me also ordered it and when it came out it looked fatty and I scrambled to change my order but with my asking they assured me it was lean. So I stuck with my order. Roast beef, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Biscuits with the gravy side they come with to compliment my dinner. All I can say is wow, what a complete disappointment! The roast beef was fatty, the mashed potatoes were a horrible mushy mess-and the green beans a mush mess as well. And the biscuits and gravy just fair. It really was a complete disappointment. I so should have stuck with breakfast for dinner. Our only shining light was our waitress who's name is slipping my mind but her family came in and sat next to me and my friend. There was 5 of them if it helps someone figure her out from the Management. But again I have never had a bad meal there in the past but Covid must have sent all the good cooks running. Ugh. So based on tonight, I have no desire to go back unless on the road and no other choices and I stick with breakfast or something called Sunday or Southern chicken? This was my first time to any Cracker Barrel, ever. I was so blown away by the servers and staff. The food was good, yes, but the people were by far the best part of the experience. I didn't realize CB was such an experience! The employees and managers are truly passionate about the experience people have when they come in. Spent so much time in the store and bought the best gifts and stocking stuffers. There was a wonderful selection! Really just such a great time all around, and I could feel how genuine the employees were. Highly recommend this Cracker Barrel, and I'm definitely a fan for life now. read more

Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite restaurants and my family stops here frequently while traveling in our RV. This one was slightly difficult to get to in our big rig and the RV parking spots weren't quite long enough for us, but we made it work. Service a little slow, but not surprised considering the current labor situation in the US. All of our food came out correct and tasted great.
