I had the Avi Scramble which came out lukewarm at best - the cheese on top wasn't even melted. It had good flavor the temperature made it seem like it was premade and heated up. The smoky salsa was good. Would have requested for the meal to be heated up but never saw the server again. Had to flag someone down to get the check. Definitely won't go back. read more

Despite having to wait 45 minutes for a table, this is a great breakfast spot. Their soda machine was also broken, so I had an apple juice. Stoped by to try this place out. By the looks outside it looked like it was a small place but once finding the entrance it was much bigger than expected. We both did breakfast I had the worker bee with a pancake and goetta. My wife had the breakfast burrito. I liked the pancake and the goetta was good since it was from a butcher shop and not geilers. My wife thought the burrito was mostly the tortilla and had a plain taste even with the sauces. I tried it and agreed with her. The service was spotty. Not once were we asked for a refill. I had been to Sleepy Bee over in Oakley years ago and since I was in town for a few days, I decided to try it again for old times sake. Oakley didn't have a pickup option online for some reason so I came out here. When I came to get my order, they thankfully had 15 minute parking spots. The parking lot was tight! Almost no spots left. I ordered the Queen City Bee breakfast sandwich which had egg, goetta, apples, and arugula on a milk bun. The goetta and apples made the sandwich unique. I really liked those two ingredients the best. But it was still a heavy sandwich. The bread was dense. And it could've been more flavorful overall. It also came with a side salad with a vinaigrette that was delicious. I also got a latte with milligans syrup. Not sure what makes it unique but it was good! I'd def come back for a latte again! We went to Sleepy Bee today and had a very disappointing experience. All of the food arrived cold, and when we informed the server, they confirmed that the food was indeed cold. We barely touched any of the meals because they were not enjoyable to eat. Despite this, no solution was offered -- no remake, no discount, no apology beyond acknowledging the issue. Since we had already drank our coffee, we ended up paying the full bill anyway. This felt very unfair and unprofessional. Sleepy Bee has always been a solid choice for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. I came here after a workout class with friends and had The Queen City Bee. The sweet and savory taste of the sandwich is delicious and the milk bun ties the ingredients together nicely. Our server was very helpful when we were deciding on our sides. The interior is decorated with bee merchandise with a lot of information about how important bees are for our ecosystem and food supply. The local farms and vendors were listed, as well. I liked knowing I was supporting local farms and businesses with my meal. My meal was an incredible way to start my day. I was a little concerned that the chorizo would be spicy (as a spice sensitive person) but it was perfect and our server put the salsa on the side. The toast paired great with it. I got the red skin potatoes and the gravy was a little sweet for me. The Apple Spice Pancakes (specialty/seasonal) were delightful with crunch in the apples and seeds, but sweetness and fluffiness in the pancake and spices. I fully enjoyed the meal and service was great. I had an entire meal from my leftovers as well. Had a bad experience. My friend got a "chopped salad" with chicken. The salad was a plain green salad with maybe 2 ounces of chicken and certainly not chopped. When showing the salad to the staff the response was that they just call it a chopped salad. Note to staff- why not call It prime rib and charge even more! My sandwich was as equally disappointing. I ate the first half thinking, "Gee, there's not much in it and is mostly bread." Picking up the second half I realized 75% of the filling was in this half. Still not a lot of what one would expect but made worse by the sloppy execution. This is my first time trying Sleepy Bee after about 5 years. I wanted to give it a second shot. It was very underwhelming, I'm genuinely shocked at how popular it is. My family and I tried it and the meals just didn't hit. The service was about a 5/10, really nothing to write home about. It was a 30 minute wait on a Friday afternoon. The coffee was so bad, comparable to first watch. Bitter, burnt tasting and disappointing. After paying I let our server know in private that the chef left a piece of themselves in my plate, their hair. It was really gross but I hate to send anything back so I just made her aware after. Hit up the Blue Ash location before our 4th of July festivities. There is plenty of seating so we got a table right away. I also loved all the natural light at this location. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. The seasonal fruit on my pancakes was so fresh. Google limited my review space, so I continue here...Server was extremely rude on a recent Saturday morning when there was plenty of table space (8:20, they just opened at 8:00). By myself, with an iPad, I guess they thought I was going to hog a table all morning. I was not. First, they asked if I wanted to eat at the breakfast "bar." No problem with that, but I asked for a table. They put me at a tiny table with not enough room for two plates, a coffee mug, and an iPad. I asked a waitress walking by if I could move to a bigger table. She smiled and said yes. (Most of the restaurant was available at this point.) When my waitress - not the same person - started to take my order, but stopped and acted like there was problem. When I asked her, she said tables that size (could seat 4, but not a booth) were usually reserved for groups because they get busy on Saturdays - EVEN THOUGH VERY FEW PEOPLE WERE IN THE RESTAURANT AT 8:20AM. In a calm, quiet voice, I told her that I found that rude, that I was leaving and that I would not be back. Bear in mind, I can literally WALK to this restaurant. So, bottom line is they cater to families, some of whom can be loud with small kids. If you want a relaxing breakfast or a small business meeting, this is NOT the place. The waitress was young, maybe needed some more experience working with customers, but she was obviously following what management had told her to do. read more

I was excited to see turkey sausage on the menu as for health reasons I no longer eat delicious pork products. Sadly I was so disappointed by the sausage that I not only couldn't finish it but I couldn't finish my entire breakfast. I had heard about this restaurant for quite a while and was looking forward to trying it. I thought the egg creation with avocado and mushrooms was good. The bread from Alleez Bakery was a whole grain which I found dry and not very tasteful. The big disappointment was the fried mash potatoes which came out room temperature. When I complained they fresh were in the oven. By the time they came out a good 15 minutes later I had finished and had no appetite . I had the Avi scramble with red skin potatoes; they offered gluten free bread, which I appreciated, but I did not try it, so cannot speak to it. However, the scramble was absolutely delicious -- very flavorful and chocked full of spinach and mushrooms. My business companion had the vanilla almond oats, and they looked amazing. Sleepy Bee has loooooooong been one of my favorite restaurants. They use a ton of local ingredients from local farmers and have rotating specials at each of their locations! One of my all time favorite menu items is their seasonal summer peach pancakes! It has peaches, their hemp seed granola, and whipped cream on top of their bee cakes (gluten free) or buttermilk pancakes. Delicious every time! They also have excellent lattes and I love trying whatever is the special. When I went recently I had a latte that featured cardamom, spices, and local maple syrup. Thought we would try something new for breakfast today and came across this really cute place!!! I have to first of all call out the amount of bacon that they serve. Most place give you two slices but this spot, gave 4 huge slices. The toast was not the standard and had such a great flavor. Pancakes were fluffy and the syrup was light and delicious. The prices were extremely reasonable and quite honestly were better than most franchise spots. The only thing I would recommend not doing here, is order the cup of fruit. What a sweet restaurant! We were in Blue Ash to pick up an auction item from Everything But the House and decided to get lunch. Previous Yelpers had rated it 4.1 so I wanted to give it a try. We were promptly greeted and seated. I ordered the Beehive sandwich and it was delicious with layers of flavor including my favorite - bacon. My husband got the Farmstead special of the day which was a scrambled egg, sausage, asparagus, mushroom, and goat cheese omelette. The multigrain sourdough bread was great!
