This week I had a hankerin' to eat at Cracker Barrel. I will say this is one of my family's favorite places to eat on a Sunday afternoon after church. Luckily, this location is not too far from my house, and we definitely prefer it to the next closest one in terms of service. The atmosphere is unlike any other restaurant around here, in my opinion. It's southern, but it's also professional. We even tend to eat at Cracker Barrel when traveling because the vibe is pretty consistent and it's a taste of home while we're away. We normally have a good experience with service at this location, and everyone is typically super nice. I ordered Momma's French Toast Breakfast with eggs over medium and crispy bacon. I also got an iced vanilla latte. My mom ordered the strawberry cheesecake pancakes with a Diet Coke and black coffee. We got biscuits for the table and took home plenty of leftovers. I will say, I am never usually one for leftovers, but I will always eat some Cracker Barrel leftovers. read more

Waited over 45 minutes to get my food. The chicken was unbelievably dry, like it was setting under the hot lamp for half an hour. Waited 11 minutes to place a drink order and got a refill rarely at all. Definitely the worst experience I've ever had at a Cracker Barrel read more

I love Cracker Barrel's food! I don't typically get to eat it for breakfast too often, but thoroughly enjoy it when I do. I got the Grandpa's Breakfast with the chicken fried chicken, two eggs over easy, and hash brown casserole. I didn't leave hungry that's for sure. The waitress did a wonderful job and I didn't have to wait on a refill for my soda and my food came out quickly. The restaurant is casual and I like that about it. read more

My wife and I ate at this location today, and it was very good. They have rolled out their new fall menu which looks good. We stuck with an Ole Favorite of Grandma's Sampler Breakfast with Pancakes, which was really good. The service was great. We are big fans of Cracker Barrel and take our big family out to eat here a lot. But this one's ridiculous. Not many people there but the service is super slow . Wait was an hr when they said 30min. We sat at the table for 15 minutes before someone came by and we asked to be waited on . I see why the low ratings now . The food final came out . A disappointing visit for certain. I have a craving for country fried steak and gravy, and the local spot I normally have it is only open for lunch, so I have the trek a few miles for this. This was some of the worse service I've ever had! It was SLOW and we were there over an hour. When we first arrived I asked for some biscuits because of my blood sugar and was told she could only bring bread to the table one time because of the shortage! I just wanted to say I had this little blonde waiter named Johana and she was honestly the best server I've ever had, she never let my drinks go below half full or my 11 cousins, she was just great, she was also so apologetic when my country fried steak came out as chicken fried chicken, I just know that it was the cooks fault. The food was good. My husband, Bob had some kind of Sunday Chicken with carrots and green beans. I got chicken fingers with steak fries and broccoli. Ayden got grilled fingers with bacon mac & cheese, and turnip greens.However our waitress was not pleasant. Bob asked for a mixture of cornbread muffins, and biscuits. We got six muffins and no biscuits. After that we did not hear back from our waitress until we got the food which took forever. We asked for more biscuits and cornbread when they got there. The chicken was good. They gave us a plate of bacon instead of the bacon bits in the mac and cheese but the bacon macaroni was on the menu. The dill ranch tasted like tartar sauce. Came in there on 10-18-21 and seated about 8:15 PM. It was NOT BUSY. My server Rhyn came out and advised me that the first two things I ordered were out. So I ordered my drink and and Chicken and dumplings that they did have. Well, my server did not bring a drink, and disappeared for 30 mins and never returned to the table. So at 8:45 I found and asked for a different server and explained my situation. She apologized and said this had been happening for weeks. She found my food, and brought it out, and it was dumplings in muggy looking water. It wouldn't even pass for soup. So someone in the back plated that while looking at it, and sent it out. I have been to this location many times, but lately, as of the last month or so, it has gotten bad at supper or in the evenings in general. 45 mins before close, employees were scrambling to leave, and you could hear them all talking about trying to get out of there even before 9. I thanked, and tipped the girl who finally helped, me but told her that the food wasn't edible, and wasn't even warm, so their was a risk of bacteria and I just couldn't eat dumplings in cold water. The online registration is a joke...today we registered online which said a 30 minute wait, we get there 10 or 15 minute wait is what we are told, 45 minutes later we still are not seated & they said there were 6 people ahead of us. We ordered pick up online and it said our food would be ready at 7:50... we ordered at 6:50 so I thought that was weird. I decided to go a little early and got there around 7:30 and our food was already sitting there. Then I went to the car and checked my order and they forgot one of our sides. So I went back in and told them and they said it would be right out. They had to call for it twice and I finally got my side 12 minutes later. All the while the rest of my food is getting cold. Then we get home and there is no syrup for my son's pancakes. Just a lot of little issues that turned into annoyance. We won't do pick up ever again. read more

Just walked out after waiting 15 minutes for a table and then another 15 minutes left of not being acknowledged by wait staff. I didn't have breakfast, but I did have some biscuits and sawmill gravy. The gravy had an odd kind of sausage taste to it. Which isn't odd, in and of itself, but it just hand a smokey flavor like some Portuguese sausage I once had. Anyhow, I had two trout fillets grilled and two sides of broccoli. The broccoli was done perfectly. The trout was a little "dry" sadly. My mother had a large looking house salad with grilled chicken and all sorts of things inside of it and it looked really nice. The Croutons were deliciously seasoned. Coffee was average diner coffee but not the ambiance. It was very cool looking with antiques all over the walls! Based on the "C" average quality and taste of the food I wouldn't come back but it wasn't "bad". read more

Definitely not one of the better Cracker Barrels that I have been to. The health score was 83, which is not horrible, but not really good either. The associates were polite and professional, & not rude, but not very friendly either, and my server was not very attentive during my meal. The sweet tea and hash brown casserole that I had were both not very good. The other items I had as part of my vegetable plate meal were good. They were out of mashed potatoes, which I had requested, and the server told me that they were out of gravy for the special for the night, fried pork chops with gravy, which was disappointing. I'm sure the workers and management were probably doing the best they could under the current labor situation, but they did not appear to be super busy when I was there, and I definitely think it could've been better overall. read more

The people are very friendly and the customer service was great. However, the food was deplorable. I ordered the Momma's pancakes and the pancakes were tough around the edges. The eggs that came with the breakfast were like warm and some of the dishes were dirty. If the food was better I would have definitely given them a higher rating. We eat here frequently and the experience is normally positive. When we eat at a table - always good. When we call-in a take out order, it is good. However, I've done two online orders and it is a terrible experience. Both times, despite choosing a pick-up time and paying in advance, I've waited for more than 30 mins. It seems like they don't start cooking until I check in, in person, at the register. Defeats the purpose of ordering in advance. I won't use online ordering again. read more

The place was very crowded as expected on Sunday afternoon, but only a short wait for table for two. Bad part: The hostess took us to a dirty table, but they quickly cleared the table while we waited. The table was clean, but the chair where the dirty dish tub had been sitting was VERY dirty. They swapped out the chair with a clean one and we were seated. There was some confusion about which server was assigned to our table, but after a few minutes, Paula took our drink and food order. Good part: The food came out quickly from the kitchen and was hot and good. It wasn't gourmet dining, but then we weren't expecting that it would be. We got exactly what we ordered. The server was very busy, but kept our drinks refilled and made sure we had everything we needed. Paula had only one star on her apron, but gave a four star effort for us. Overall, the food is consistently good and so is the service. It is a good value for the money. We will eat here again soon. read more

I do not like leaving reviews, especially negative ones but tonight was honestly the worst service I have had in my life. I understand that it is a holiday and it's kind of crazy but you still have to do your job, I work in customer service so I truly understand how crazy holidays can be. Every other server was doing their job other than the one my group of three had, she did not check on us once. The start of the night was great and there were no problems until we get brought out food but no utensils, a good five to ten minutes go by before I finally stop a waitress from another table to let her know we never got utensils and then a busboy brought them out to us. When they brought out our food I did not get the main course of my meal just the sides and did not get it until they brought my table the check. They only brought me the food after I flagged our waitress down after finally seeing her on the floor doing something instead of looking at my tables direction from the kitchen door area. They didn't split the check either like they were supposed to but whatever that is a small easy to fix mistake but honestly just awful service. The busboy who brought our utensils was more of a waiter to us and check on us more than our waitress did. read more

We came for breakfast. The waitress was super nice. The kitchen staff needs to learn to cook. Our food came out over cooked. We sat there for 20 minutes before it came out. Our waitress asked what the deal was and they told her to lose the attitude. There were tables that came in after us that got their food way before us. And there were only two of us. Do NOT do curbside! They do not cook it when you order it. Got chicken and it was cold and appeared to be left over from lunch or something. Check your food and see if they cooked it when you ordered or if it is left over. Also check for all your items and again check the temp. My food was not hot and they forgot the cornbread. Go there allot on Sunday afternoon-evenings with Family. First of all, Biscuits are some of the best around and pretty consistent. Gravy needs to be served fresher, hotter, less lumpy. Cabbage is out of this world! I cook pretty much everyday, and make a pretty mean pot of Cabbage myself. Theirs is consistently great. (I probably don't want to know how much salt is really in it.....LOL) I've had most everything on the menu over the years. Favorites include Country Fried Steak, duh. All three of their Fish offerings are good blackened or grilled. Catfish, Rainbow Trout and Haddock. Also, a big thumbs up to "Abby" the Hostess. For a person her age, 20 something I'm guessing, she actually seems to give a rat's butt. Always smiles, always recognizes me and says with a smile...."Hey, good to see y'all again....seats by the window?" Nice personal touch. I have been here many times and the food and service is almost always great (with exception of one waitress). Was looking forward to meatloaf and mashed potatoes. After we waited for our waitress to come for a little longer than usual she approaches and said. Oh by the way we're out of meatloaf and mashed potatoes. She realized that's what we were going to order and asked if we needed a minute to pick something else off menu. 5 minutes later she came back. Wish we would have left and went else where. We made our order. When she brought our food I opened the silverware and food was stuck on the fork. I immediately handed it back to waitress and said I needed different silverware took her 4 minutes to bring it back. After a couple of minutes I used my husbands spoon to start eating. Biscuits were cold. Lima beans were cold. Dumplings were good. Everything else was ok. Cashier took my ticket asked me how everything was. I said not that great. He didn't hear me at all because he was talking to another employee about someone messing up a call in order. So not pleased. I'd say staff is a lot less attentive and friendly than I'm used to from their stores. Cook needs to be trained or managed better. Management needs to step into this store and fix it. read more

Sorry this is long, they got a three as we have enjoyed Cracker Barrel for several years. However the last few visits have been subpar. The CB in Albertville my daughter and I were seated and waited over 30 min while the staff walked by no offer of even a drink, we decided to leave and go to Chick Fil A. The next Sunday my husband stopped by after church and I had a hair in my plate. The server was apologetic but the manager didn't come out. Final trip we had dinner after traveling back from the Alabama football game. It was a series of issues, my husband order was wrong, we got zero biscuits (told they were coming as the kitchen was behind, others got theirs), and finally in my kale salad, that tasted old, was a piece of plastic from a butter container. So after several years of patronage both in the store and restaurant we will not be back. read more

Please do not order their new breakfast skillet. My came to table not hot enough to melt the cheese. The scrambled eggs were over cooked brown on both sides.
