Very disappointed in the visit tonight. CB is one of our favorites but tonight the drink and food service was very slow, my wife's food was cold, and the cashier was indifferent. I know they can do better. Lord knew I was ready to blast someone so He never allowed anyone to ask how the meal was. He was watching over me. Very disappointed. read more

I definitely give Jackson Cracker Barrel a super 5-star rating. My family went for lunch one recent afternoon and after we were seated we heard a car was on fire in the parking lot. Unfortunately, it happened to be our car. Before we were able to call 911, the manager had already used a fire extinguisher on our car and called 911. The waitress even watched our kids at the table while we checked on our car. We were devastated and didn't have much of an appetite after the incident, but our kids still needed to eat. Jeff, the manager was so nice and accommodating and insisted on giving us our lunch on the house. Not only did he give us our lunch for free, but while I was waiting in the country store with my kids for our ride, the staff kept checking to see if we needed anything....refills, etc.. It's so nice to know that there are still helpful people in the world who genuinely care. Thank you so much Cracker Barrel staff!! read more

Good food, good service.....only one thing needs improvement. I like to stir my coffee with a spoon in order to taste it to see if I have it just right. The silverware packet they put on the table has no spoon. Please include a spoon with your eating utensils. read more

I normally have good experiences at cracker barrel. I get a hello at the door and the staff is nice at our home towns in Slidell LA. The staff did not want to help you when you came inside (they where at a cart in the middle of the store working on paper work). We did not get a hello when we came in or seated. The waitress Paige was rude and did not bring us biscuits or refill our drinks and only came to the table to take our order and give the check. The dumplings were hard and dry. The floor was dirty. I would never go back to this cracker barrel ever again. read more

Great food and wonderful service. We try to visit one whenever we travel out of Washington state where there are none. Did I mention the cornbread? Wonderful! I stopped by today at this Cracker Barrel and was served by Mary, a four-star server. I honestly can't think of anything she could have done better! It seemed like I had just given my food order to her, then blinked my eyes and the food appeared. My coffee cup was never close to being empty, and I am a pretty heavy coffee drinker. We went about an hour before close on a Friday night. The service was great. Food came pretty fast but that may be because there were only a handful of people there. I have the grilled chicken with corn, carrots and okra. Only complaint okra was soggy. I'd recommend it to anybody that likes comfort food. About as close to home cooking you can get at a restaurant. read more

Have stopped by twice and this restaurant is filthy. I stepped on something in the floor and almost fell, left. I went back to give it another chance, I pulled the chair out and got oatmeal or what I pray was oatmeal on my hand it was all over the seat and in the floor. They don't clean the restaurant it's nasty. no thank you I will never go back. read more

I am a big fan of Cracker Barrel in general, but our meal at the Jackson TN facility at exit 82 off I40 left a lot to be desired. First of all, it just did not appear as clean as I am accustomed to seeing in other locations. We ordered, and my meal included a salad. The salad bowl had apparently been sitting on ice, because the bottom half of the salad had lettuce that appeared it had been frozen - limp, and definitely not appealing. The remainder of the order included chicken livers with mashed potatoes and gravy. I ate a couple of livers, then cut into one and it was raw in the middle. Not pink - RAW! I couldn't eat the rest of my meal after seeing that. I had a little stomach cramping for a couple of days after that - not sure it was related to the meal but also not sure it wasn't. This was a disappointment, but I will definitely never go to the Jackson restaurant again. read more
