Went there 7/2 Saturday A.M around brunch time. Had a little bit of wait but that was expected, but had a really awesome experience. The woman checking people into the wait list was so sweet, and when we got sat, our server (I think his name was Jake) was fantastic. We just moved to Tennessee this week and he made us feel really welcomed. Food didn't take long at all despite the business, and was so so good, plus Jake really stayed on top of his tables well. Dakota C was an excellent server!!! All if our orders were correct, drinks refilled in timely manner, and he checked on us often. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and we sure did. I asked for my eggs over easy though and they came out hard so for that I blame the kitchen, not the server. read more

I understand that this time of year people get to go and catered meals. I expected a short wait even though I had preordered a pie and biscuits. That's all, pie and biscuits. Pies were behind the counter and I'm pretty sure they constantly bake biscuits. I waited 45 minutes for pie and biscuits. I had 3 different employees tell me they were going to get my order and never came back. I very firmly told the fourth girl to go get my biscuits and pie and asked her how long that would take. She said just a minute as they were boxing my biscuits. Seriously. This was the most disorganized mess that I have ever experienced trying to pick up a to go order. Don't do it!! read more

They were not busy (maybe 10-15 customers total while we were there). When our meal was served, i found out why. My toast was hot and fresh off the grill but the rest was served cold or lukewarm. Grits were watered down. Service wasn't good. She did get our order 100% correct, but we barely saw her after taking our order. Ordering process was slow due to the use of the tablets, but that wasn't a big deal since the order was correct. I rather them take their time to get it right. read more

Have proof of payment for Easter lunch but manager says he could not accept it because corporate says there is a problem with payment, I called bank and confirmed payment. Manager was rude and arrogant. He stated we could pay again and work it out later, WTH !! Do not get Easter lunch. Now having to cook for 8 people. Update. It is now Tuesday, tried contacting customer service 4 times and had to leave messages, never got a return call, did notice my bank showed a refund. Funny, got a refund but they claimed I never even paid. So ,10 days later and no response to my emails and phone voicemails, I think they don't care. read more

The food was absolutely amazing. I had some pancakes with strawberry syrup that was to die for. The biscuits were so soft and warm and absolutely what a biscuit should be. My server was Kayla she was so sweet and even though she was busy she always informed us on what was going on and made sure we had everything. She was one of the best servers I have had and I've been a server for years and I haven't had quite the service that I've had with anyone else. overall my whole experience was great and I thank kayla for the most amazing service. read more

We travel all over the country and frequent Cracker Barrels whenever possible, however, it is worth noting that many things have been cut from the menu and prices have risen for what they do have. This particular CB in Murfreesboro was very stingy with their food. Did not offer us biscuits or corn muffins. We wondered if they would make us pay extra if we asked. Only one kind of soup now, any CB you go in....vegetable. No more variety in that department. They have stopped offering grilled cheese on their pick two menu. I asked to substitute veggie soup for a cup of pinto beans. Made me feel bad when the manager had to give permission to do this. There was no relish to be had as there was none on the delivery truck, as per our waitress, who was very sweet, but the staff at this CB were, for the most part, past retirement age. The beans were unseasoned and the grilled chicken ,on my salad ,was cold. Pretty common issue I have had with CB's since Covid. The customer service and food quality is very lacking. I've never had a bad meal at Cracker Barrel, and this time was no different. I had the fried haddock with hash brown casserole, fried okra, macaroni and cheese, and a side salad. The haddock was lightly breaded, which I preferred to the more moderately breaded catfish. The hash brown casserole was delicious, and the fried okra was good as always. I was surprised by how much I liked the macaroni and cheese! They must've changed their recipe from when I was last at a Cracker Barrel, but it was rich and very creamy. Definitely recommend! The service was meh, and she never refilled my drink. My lunch companions enjoyed their meals of grilled chicken strips and chicken n dumplings. Cracker Barrel also has a pretty good deal for holiday catering! They said you can even order and pickup the same day just give them a few hours. Might consider that for Christmas this year. As far as chain restaurants go, Cracker Barrel is one of my favorites. I like that I can always count on good food at Cracker Barrel. read more

Cracker Barrel is always a good place to go grab some breakfast or a salad. It's good flavor overall with everything I've had. I usually get the country boy, with steak. I mean, it's good restaurant country food, and I like that. The only true complaint I have, right now, is the to-go orders. They tend to leave things out that belong with the meal or dessert, don't always give cutlery or napkins, and they forced my mom to leave them a tip when she went to pick up our orders, even after she waited for a call-ahead order that was supposed to be ready. We thought we'd give the Chaffin Place store another chance. We have been going to the Church Street store for the last year instead even though the Chaffin Place one is more convenient. As usual, it was a bad experience. I doubt we go back for a long time. Eggs were overcooked, gravy was so thick it resembled a DQ Blizzard, not much warmer either. My wife tried to order pork chops with breakfast, discontinued. Ordered steak tips medium rare, won't cook them that way, only medium well to well. This shows they use poor quality. Food poisoning last night! My wife ordered the Chicken Dumplings and within 45 minutes was violently sick. After 6 hours she passed out from vomiting and I took her to the Emergency Room. After an IV and severals medications she started to settle down. We finally got back to the hotel at 6am and slept a few hours. What a terrible way to wrap up a vacation. The food tasted good and I had no problems with my French toast. The restaurant did seem clean but you never know what evil little critters are hiding in your food. read more

Cracker Barrel's food has depleted over the years. After a year returning to the South, I was craving some country cookin'. Before I moved, I used to come here for breakfast, but the last time I was here, I made the horrible choice of ordering the lunch/dinner menu. I've had lunch/dinner at the other location before and it was delicious! But since this location was closer I wanted to try something else besides breakfast. The taste wasn't what I expected. Nothing spectacular to rave about. Mediocre at best. I haven't tried the breakfast menu since I've been back. I don't know how that'll be. read more

I really hate to see one of my favorite restaurants become so $$ hungry. The prices have gone up AGAIN! Most of the breakfast meals are over $8+ and the is NOT including the KAFFEE, while is the best restaurant brew you can get, (don't EVEN get me started on StarSucks...). If I could get zero stars I would. I went to eat with a friend and was very disappointed and probably will not eat there again. Our server Amber did not come to table at all to check on us. Our food was cold and I couldn't even let her know since she did not come to the table. I had to get up to ask another server for condiments. Our cashier was very kind as he was trying to get a manager to talk to us but after calling for a manager 5 times a manager never showed up. Thursday is Turkey & Dressing day, why were they out of Turkey & Dressing? I ordered my meal and the server returned and said they didn't have any Turkey & Dressing so I ordered the meat loaf. The two simply are not comparable. I was served a very small dried out sweet potato and all the manager said was 'well that shouldn't have left the window'. Her name was Gabrielella and you would think such a large company would hire 'managers' with better customer service skills. My advice, don't order the sweet potato here. read more

I'm not really happy with this location. The food itself was fine; pretty standard good southern home cooking like one expects to receive at a Cracker Barrel which is what I wanted when I came in at 4 in the afternoon. I would've been happy as a clam but I actually had a major issue with my rude server, Taylor. She did not treat me as a priority at all and for some unbeknownst reason avoided my table like the plague. I was seated by the host and 15 minutes went by before I was asked if I wanted something to drink. Another ten minutes went by and she finally came by with the tea then asked if I was ready to order. For one of my sides I got pinto beans. She asked if I wanted "chow chow" with it and I asked what that is. She replied "don't worry about it". About ten more minutes go by and someone else brings me my food. I never received a refill. And you guessed it! I got to wait about 15 more minutes after I was done to finally receive the check. Will not come back to this location. I definitely advise going up to the next exit for the CB on chaffin place. read more

So this is going to start off seeming very bad. We have always generally had great experience here but this time was different. We sat down and thirty minutes later finally asked a lady for the manager. I asked the manager if they had even put our order in and he goes to find out. He comes back to the table and lets us know that it was never put in. Where the good review comes in is when I asked him he straight up told me the truth instead of lying. The problem is people complain about bad service but never show they are pleased when it is fixed. He gave us our food for free and a piece of pie as well. This is why he is a manager. So here's the thing about Cracker Barrel, as a chain, if you have eaten at one, you kinda know what to expect going in. That being said, the food here in Murfreesboro is different from that in South Florida. Same menu, but the food here tasted better. I am not sure why. read more

Food usually comes out pretty fast! The only con I would say is the food isn't always hot. At times some dishes feel warm and the heat of the food easily turns to room temperature within a short while. read more
