An example of an order of their French fries.

Ordered a meal to go. This is the amount of French fries they give per order. I didn't know that they had a potato shortage.

Super busy Sunday morning ! Wait was only 15min! The kitchen needed some w expo-ing food we noticed so many plates sitting in the window . By the time we got our food the only thing that was hot were our pancakes every else was cool.. didn't complain bc we were ready to eat and had to get on the highway and didn't want to wait for corrections. Being on the food industry for 15 years i get it. Food was good just not hot and i will be back again.

Stopped in here on Mother's Day and they did a pretty decent job considering how they were slammed from at least an hour and a half before we were seated (my friend was there and put us on the waitlist), all the way through our long meal and as we left. Our waiter brought us a free basket of biscuits and applesauce to munch on because our wait for our orders was quite long. The food was good and we were thankful for having a restaurant to gather at without a reservation.

We came here for breakfast. We literally enjoy sitting next to the fireplace while enjoying our fresh warm breakfast. We weren't fond of the hot chocolate, but our breakfast was fantastic. The server was wonderful. Our service was beyond pleasant. I would definitely be back if we're in the St. Louis/Illinois area.

Things have changed at Cracker Barrel! Breakfast menu choices has been reduced; possibly by half? We hadn't been to CB in few months, so maybe I'm just late to the party? There used to be selections for those on a carb reduced diet as well as a "senior" menu choice. Food was still good with large portion sizes. Our server Cora spoke so low and softly, I had to read her lips to grasp an understanding. To demonstrate just how much they've cut, the back of the menu is a full on advertisement!

I loveee their lamb chops too and their sweet potato cornbread. There are wait times, but it's worth it to me. I wouldn't order on the weekends especially on a Sunday.

This was my first time going to this restaurant and I've been wanting to try for about a year now…read more When I arrived the food smell good and the place looked clean and the staff was very friendly. We looked over the menu and we ended up ordering fried catfish, fried Green tomatoes, and fried pork chops. I also got a side order of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy and fried okra. The fried green tomatoes came out and I felt like they were overcooked very mushy inside. The outer banner was very crunchy and cooked well the inside didn't really have much taste. The menu said they would serve it with a ranch dressing but it ended up being some other type of reddish sweet and sour type creamy dressing. It was ok. The pork chops we're dry and the meat tasted old. I think they need to change their meat supplier. The mashed potatoes taste it like I had a ton of garlic powder. In my opinion a restaurant should never use garlic powder but instead use fresh garlic in their dishes. It's really easy just to throw cloves of garlic in the potatoes as you're boiling them. Or roast them. I was burping up garlic for several hours after I left. You can often judge a soul food restaurant by their mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was baked but the cheese sauce tasted like nacho cheese sauce. Or some type of ready-made cheese sauce. And they just mixed up the cheese sauce with some elbow pasta, threw some American cheese on top and threw it in the oven. It was not the worst mac and cheese I ever had but it was definitely not good. The restaurant was very clean and I like their decor. Ray came out talking to customers and checking on their satisfaction. He was nice and I didn't have the heart to give him bad news. But I really believe unless they fix their recipes and show more imagination that they're not going to make it. Lighten up on the salt. The food was too salty. I wanted to try their sweet potato pie but after me and disappointed by all the other dishes I changed my mind. I probably won't be going back. 65 bucks for dinner for two.

The order was packaged with care and I decided I'd have to eat in person if it was so good via delivery. Clara B's is housed inside of LongStory coffee just outside downtown Belleville. I've been there for coffee a few times and like the atmosphere there. I've now been to have breakfast a few times. If you go there on a weekend, there is a line to order food by 9am and the tables fill up but food comes out in a reasonable timeframe and people clear out as more come in. You pick up a menu and wait in line and order at the register. Not much wait time. Employees are nice. The smaller menu is full of hearty comforts. I love that their choices for breakfast proteins include a fried chicken breast and brisket. Their bacon is thick and delicious, the kind that melts in your mouth. The biscuits are the southern homemade style that are thick and crumbly, not sweet. I've saved one once to make a perfect strawberry shortcake for two. The duck fat gravy is good, a little watery, but it absorbs well into the biscuits. The breakfast potato fries look amazing and one day I'll try the pancakes. I'm low carbing it right now and I like that I can go in and order eggs and a protein and grab an iced coffee and read. I highly recommend for anyone to stop in for a lovely breakfast/brunch and support this local gem.

Tried again but not much better than first visit. I'd rate 3.5 stars overall…read more The cashier was having a difficult time. Wasn't her, the register wouldn't cooperate. Had to repeat our order three times. I requested a side of bacon. Food arrived; no bacon. Looked at my receipt; no bacon. The manager brought bacon to me for no charge which I appreciated.
