A delicious Sunday breakfast. The atmosphere was quiet. The waiter was very available and knowledgeable and friendly. The food was all hot, fresh and delicious and prepared as ordered, as it relates to the eggs and bacon. They were perfect as ordered.

Bacon and sunny side up eggs

We were reluctant to stop here on a road trip because the reviews are not good-especially as of late, but there weren't too many choices so we decided to take our chances and I'm glad we did! It was a busy Sunday morning but we were seated promptly. In fact-service was stellar-our coffee and juice filled without asking, and all of our food was fast, hot, and delicious. Just what is expected from a Cracker Barrel. Oh, and the restrooms were very clean too.

Well not what it used to be to be! Nothing to eat healthy! I will not be back! Coffee was weak not warm. Food was cold when we got it. Waitress was very nice! It was ok but not one of my favorite places! They need to find a way to keep your food hot!!!

Not the best photo but all of windows are filthy like they never get cleaned.

This place wants to compensate you with a few free food coupons, but they don't want to look into their problem and fix it. I noticed all the bad reviews are the same same person responds with a short reply from customer relations email to contact them, but same old story for years they don't fix the nasty place or mention they will look into the restaurant to fix the problems. Thats not acceptable and will not be returning.

Cinnamon Swirl French Toast Breakfast

Where to begin? We were seated quickly despite them being busy. We were handed lunch menus but usually they give you the full breakfast menu as well no matter the time of day but they didn't today. Since our waitress hadn't returned yet I asked a man in a blue polo (Sed?) who was clearing tables and clearly appeared to be a manager if he could get us a breakfast menu. He pointed to the very small breakfast area on the back of the menu and I said thank you but we'd like the full menu which then resulted in a huff and stomp off. He returned and thrust the menu in my hand and said HERE! Our waitress returned with our drinks and took our order. I ordered cinnamon French toast breakfast and my gentleman ordered the breakfast casserole skillet. It took a bit and while we waited our waitress returned with 2 extremely wet plates (we had to dry them off to use) 3 biscuits and 2 jelly's. Worst biscuits I've ever eaten, they tasted like baking soda and were mealy. Finally our food is brought out and it's COLD!! Not lukewarm but COLD! This is ridiculous! I used to be able to trust Cracker Barrel to have great food and be a restful stop on my travels. Apparently this is no longer the case. Just avoid this location at all costs. It's not worth the frustration to eat there.

First review after several visits---slow to be seated, slow service, incorrect service , cold food Gift shop was nice. Some staff friendly--some not so friendly

Scrambled egg with bacon
Poncella H.

I woke up earlier than usual and decided to order breakfast as a treat to myself and mom. I ordered pecan pancakes for us both. Scramble eggs and bacon her . I ordered well done egg with sausage. What a disappointment . I was looking forward to eating those pecan pancakes my mouth was salivating. I could see the pecans but didn't taste them. My mom's bacon was nowhere near crispy as I had requested. Her egg was folded not scrambled. My sausage tasted rubbery. I requested syrup but none was received when my dasher dropped off our meals. I feel like I just wasted my money .

Food was good. They were short handed so took a while to get our food. Waitresses were very courteous.

Took my Midwest husband here while we were in town for fights. And he got to eat REAL grits for the first time. He ordered Chicken and Waffles, and I just ordered side of grits with Cajun gravy and soft scrambled eggs. Eggs were not soft scrambled, but somehow that is always a big ask. That did not even matter though!!! Jazz was our server and she was amazing, the food was so damn good!!! The best chicken and waffles my husband has ever had, and grits that would put my Granny's to shame. Wish I would have taken pics first... But we devoured the plates! I normally eat like three bites from each thing we order, I was fighting my husband for the food until there was nothing left on any plate. If you are in Bossier/Shreveport area come here!!!!!! This is my new staple when here!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were able to check in and sit in our car but It was about an hour wait for a party of two we ended up getting a sampler of breakfast options, which turned out to be really good. The only thing that I was disappointed with was the cornbread waffle. It just came across really dry, not really loaded with flavor and the worst thing about the entire experience for me was plastic cutlery. The food is too rich or dense for Thin cheap cutlery either

The inside is a mix of old timey and funky with lots of creative murals painted on the walls. We quickly received our drinks and ordered. Our waitress was outstanding but I didn't get her name. Our food was soon there and we dug in. My chicken fried steak was good but the mashed potatoes and cornbread were the stars. I'm not a big fan of salad or green beans but they were pretty good for vegetation. My wife enjoyed her catfish basket. She prefers cornmeal on catfish over flour breading and was pleased with the crispy cornmeal and the generous portion. Now for the main event. Pie! Strawn's is known for their strawberry pie and for good reason. It was the best strawberry pie that I have ever eaten. The whipped cream topping was transcendent and paired perfectly with the strawberries. My photo does not do this pie justice. My wife went with coconut pie and while it was very good the strawberry was the winner. Looking forward to returning to Straw's Eat Shop in the future.

The room was beautiful in a quiet, elegant way, thoughtfully put together, warm and welcoming. And the people... every single waitress greeted us with kindness, but Miss Tammy -- oh, she was something special. The kind of person who makes you feel like you've known her forever. So sweet, so genuine, the kind of service you don't forget. The food came out and from the very first bite, it was clear this was a place that cooks with love. The eggs, the omelet, the French toast -- everything tasted like comfort. And then there was the millionaire bacon -- perfectly caramelized with brown sugar and just a touch of chili flakes. Sweet, smoky, with a gentle heat that teased your taste buds like heaven. Absolutely unforgettable. The portions were generous in the best way, and the prices were more than fair, especially for a breakfast that leaves you full and happy. But listen... the coffee. That coffee wrapped around you like a warm blanket. And then came the meat pies -- crispy, flavorful, absolutely unforgettable. Paired with those potatoes -- golden and crisp on the outside, soft and tender on the inside -- perfectly made, just the way they should be. The owner was there today too, sitting with friends, laughing and enjoying himself, and somehow that made the place feel even more real -- like you were stepping into a slice of everyday life, not just a restaurant. If you're looking for a true southern breakfast, a place with heart, warmth, and soul -- this is it. This is where you go when you want to feel something, not just eat. We'll be back. Without a doubt. And Miss Tammy -- thank you. You made the day brighter than you know.

Seasoning in the gravy is spot on, the sausage is sweet and salty and perfect. Biscuits are fluffy, ha-yuge and crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside.
