I drove here from myrtle beach down home to New York and figured I would pass by and get some crackle barrel since I had it a couple times upstate NY and it was pretty solid. After paying $70 for 5 grandma sampler and waiting about 10 minutes to get my food. I have to say one of the worst breakfast meals I ever had I should of just went to Waffle House. The has-browns were hard as a rock the eggs were raw and the pancakes looked and tasted good like they have been sitting there for a while. Mind you the amount of food on each takeout was equivalent to what a 5 year old would eat. I'm so disappointed honestly. I normally love cracker barrel but this location (the one closest to home unfortunately) seems to be getting worse and worse. It seems like there's an issue every time we come, but this time was enough for me to not ever want to visit this location again. We came at lunch time on a sunday so we were expecting a wait and that was not a problem. However once we were sat down, it was all downhill. Drinks took at least 10 minutes to get to our table. We had ordered corn bread and biscuits and didn't get those and didn't have an opportunity to ask again because no one checked on us anymore until we got our food. Our food was brought out and some of our meals were cold. The food took long enough to get there so we didn't bother asking for them to take it back. Once again we asked for our bread and two in our party asked for sauces. Never got them. We were halfway through with our meal when we finally got bread... twice. Another waitress or host brought over some, and so did a manager. I once again asked for sauces and they walked away before we noticed we didn't have cornbread. When we got our sauces finally, our food was even colder than it was originally. I also mentioned the cornbread to the manager and it seemed as though it was an issue to bring some out. Went to this restaurant on March 26 at about 9:30 am. We had shroud on 9 and came for breakfast. Our server was clumsy when refreshing coffee and water glasses and managed to fill the cups and everything within 6 inches of them sitting on the table. She messed up our order by bringing food we didn't order and didn't bring food we DID order. My scrambled eggs were old and tough to eat, as was the turkey sausage. The multi-berry pancakes were fine though . Numerous complaints from those in our party about the service and food quality. It was a reminder of why I haven't been there in years. One of the worst experiences I have had at a Cracker Barrel. Ordered the new Cinnamon Roll Pie breakfast. However when the waitress brought out the meal she only then stated that they didn't have Cinnamon Roll Pie. You would think that the servers would know what they have and don't have available. Also when I got the meal it was incorrect. I asked for over easy eggs and they gave me scrambled. Very disappointed in the service and this location. read more

I was really repulsed by this Cracker Barrel. When I ordered my grilled cheese sandwich I was expecting the cheese to actually be melted and the bread to be toasted but to my surprise I was given 2 pieces disproportionately sized bread and a block of processed square cheese that you could buy at Walmart for a dollar. I didn't want to jump to any negativity so I asked my waitress to actually grill my sandwich and I was pleased to her that she was going to do just that. But low and behold I was revisited with the same sandwich but fresh out of the microwave. I could tell this by the sogginess and the lack of crispness on the bread. I still ate my order but it really was a chore to ingest such a lazily-made piece of food when I was expecting a meal with the slightest bit of effort put into it. The best Cracker Barrel we've visited by far. The Staff is very attentive, they check and recheck you through out the meal. You get to shop cool items before or after you indulge great country cooked food. The meatloaf could stand to cook for another 20 minutes, little charring is good. The gravy is dynamite. I highly recommend trying everything on the menu, don't stick with only a few items. One of the best waitresses in the world works here, hopefully we get her again. read more

Me and the road-weary foodwife made it here (on a tip that NC CBs are superior) towards the tail-end of our 2000 mile round trip journey. That turned out to be a great decision. If you've been to one Cracker Barrel, you've been to every franchise in existence. Sitting down after 10 hours of nonstop driving, we ordered heavily from the chicken-fried categories: steak and chicken. Accompanied with sides of fried apples, stuffing, string beans, mac n cheese, cheesy hash, fried okra. Across the board really dang tasty and well made (great real smokiness to the string beans) sides and mains with the worst being at the minimum, textbook. Our server was sweet and quick, simultaneously making us feel welcome and helping us get back on the road quickly. Chain comfort food in a southern territory? I'll stop every time! read more

Always a safe bet to eat at a Cracker Barrel when you have a craving for some down home comfort food. This location is no exception. Food and service here was very good. The quality of the food again was pretty consistent with what you would expect at any one of the Cracker Barrel locations. Since it was a Monday evening when we visited there was no wait and the food came very quickly. We have eaten at this location on a couple occasions and so far have not been disappointed. We will definitely come here again.......most likely for breakfast as that is in our opinion the best food they make. read more

I waited 30 minutes after I had placed my order and been told it would be 5-10 minutes. I had to stand in front of the kitchen and ask 3 different servers to go in the kitchen and check on my order. The food was good but the prices are going up. My daughter has just outgrown the kids menu but all she wants us one pancake and bacon. The one pancake is available for $3.99 and the order of bacon is $3.59. For $8.59 you can get the whole Mama's pancake breakfast that includes 3 pancakes 2 eggs, and bacon or sausage. We just got that and an extra plate. Then I ordered cheese on my scrambled eggs. Add another $1.29. There was not that much cheese. The place is decorative and clean. I came here on a Sunday for brunch and the place was packed, and I had a 15 minute wait time. Upon sitting down, the waitress was friendly and she took my order, about 20 minutes later the food arrived. She was nice enough to fill my coffee once during this time. The item I ordered came with biscuits but when my food came out, they were missing, so I had to ask and she went back to get them. She gave me my check as soon as my food came out too, which was not really rude in a busy place, but it made me feel rushed. Ok I know no one in la (where I live) knows what chicken pastry is but it's one of my favorite dishes. Cracker Barrel nailed it. I was amazing to my great surprise. The shrimp platter was huge. Ok.... I have to say here I was impressed at times and really unimpressed at other times. Pros: First hostess when we checked in was friendly!! (Not so impressive was the hostess who took over for her) Food was good! I ordered the lemon pepper rainbow trout with okra, mac and cheese, and a salad. The okra was great, mac and cheese (always delish) was good, and the flavor of the lemon pepper rainbow trout was awesome! My boyfriend got a country fried steak (YUM), with mashed potatoes and brown gravy (YUM YUM) and broccoli (ehhh), and our friends also commented their food was delicious! The store in the front had some cool stuff, and the atmosphere over all was friendly! I had a good time. Cons: First of all, when we first checked in the hostess was very nice with a smile on her face and taking control of the crazy amount of people in there (IT WAS PACKED!) Then, another hostess took over (sad I didn't catch her name) but she was just a mess. She called our party of four to the front. But when we got there she was just talking to some guy on the side and didn't even acknowledge us... Whatever, we thought atleast we get to sit down and eat now! We were starving after a long day of shopping... WRONG. She called us to the front for what?!? We waited there for FIFTEEN minutes for our server... HUH?!?! She never said one word to us... I dunno... I guess this is a nostalgic place for some people, but I just didn't find it to be anything memorable. In fact, I felt pretty heavy and grease-laden coming out of that place. It's got an old school Southern charm and serves all the fattening classics... biscuits and gravy, meatloaf, fried chicken. It was ok. The veggie sides are definitely just frozen or from a can (green beans, corn, etc). The breakfast items were preferable to the lunch and dinner ones.... but then again, I guess its hard to mess up breakfast! I was kind of surprised they didnt bring out jam or honey with their complimentary biscuits... i had to ask half way through the meal. Honestly the biscuits were probably the highlight for me! I just don't know if this place is worth the wait (there seemed to be a long line that was pretty standard).
