Great breakfast restaurant especially on a rainy Sunday. My husband and I enjoyed the blueberry pancake plate and the newly added cinnamon swirl bread French toast plate. The French toast had a thick cinnamon paste like topping with a white frosting swirled on top. I ask for additional syrup as I thought the cinnamon paste was a little strong tasting but when thinned by the syrup was absolutely delicious. The service was welcoming. Think of a southern welcome. We had a party of 8-10 and they didn't make a fuss about the confusion. They brought warm biscuits for us. We were assigned two servers but one stood out. Aiden's attentiveness was top tier and he could've handled the table himself. I think he's ready for the big leagues!! He explained he liked to know where people were from . He seated us and we were greeted by a happy smile and hello from our server. She also inquired as to where we were from. We had the best server I have ever had. I've been in this industry for over 3 years running many restaurants in my lifetime and Aaron was the cream of the crop!! If I was still in thie industry I would come and cherry pic tht young man! anyway I had the eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, it had a name that I can't remember, anyway The gravy was horrible but I never told Arron. Why bother? My wife and I were on the way back from the beach yesterday and she just had to have some pancakes. Nobody messes up pancakes, right? Even though we have had terrible experiences at Cracker Barrel restaurants in other locations, she assured me NO ONE can mess up a pancake. Well, that is just not so. We were in town for a wedding and decided to have breakfast here. There not being a wait on a weekend morning should have been a red flag! But here we are. Although Cracker Barrel is not known for speedy service, every single thing we asked for took forever. We were a party of 4 and our server had items missing from 2 of 4 orders. We had to get a menu again and show her what was missing. By the time those came out, we were basically done with our other food. The server alternated between blank looks and attitude. Food was pretty bad. The dumplings were so salty you couldn't eat them. Loaded potato side was still cold in the center and had no taste. The hash brown casserole was cold and had a chemical taste to it. None of the food tasted like anything we've had from CB before. The meatloaf was tasty but cold in the center. When we weren't given our two sides of broccoli we asked the server for them and she became visibly irritated at us and was rude the rest of the meal. We got them finally and they were cold. Stopped here on our family vacation as we headed towards Pensacola. Cracker Barrel (CB) has always been a family favorite so we unanimously decided to stop here. It's conveniently located close to the hotel we stayed at. My experience here was overall the worst experience I've ever had at Cracker Barrel. There was no wait, we were sat down pretty fast. A party of 5, that included a 2 and 7 year old, and 3 adults. The waitress brought my husband the incorrect order, he asked for Chicken fried chicken (CFC), and she brought him Homestyle Chicken, when we brought it to her attention she tried to tell us we ordered incorrectly when we are more than 100% sure he specifically said his go to meal, the CFC. My meal was scrambled eggs, potato casserole and bacon. The eggs came out and were not fully cooked all the way and slimy. The potato casserole was uncooked, the potatoes were still raw and if you've ever had uncooked potatoes you know the texture and taste, awful. All 3 adults had the casserole and we all looked at each other with disbelief. My 7 year old daughter's 1/2 order of French toast came out soggy, as in with raw egg still on the bread, she didn't eat it either. My husband's chicken was blan, and just not the CB tasty food we're expecting and it upset his stomach. Although the potato casserole seemed undercooked he ate 1/2 of it and was sick the entire day. The only decent thing was the bacon and biscuits. Needless to say it was a huge disappointment. When we let the waitress know, she looked at me with a doubtful look, as if I was lying and respond with "sorry about that". Honestly, the potato casserole and biscuits are the reason I come to eat at CB. When checking out, they also asked how the food was and I let them know. TBH I wasn't looking for a discount or a free meal, just expressing my concerns over the under cooked food that needs to be addressed with the cooks or kitchen staff. I'm glad I don't live in this area because my local CB is amazing, I would never return to eat at this location given the option or even for a free meal, no thanks. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a familiar sight here in the southeastern United States. You see them often at the exits for interstates. This particular Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is located just of Interstate 10 and offers two parts for road weary travelers, the country store section and the restaurant part. I have to admit that I far prefer the country store part of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. It is not that their restaurant part is terrible, it is just nothing special. I guess I eat breakfast here the most and my go-to item is the country fried steaks with eggs over easy. Again, the country fried steak here is not terrible, but you can definitely find better representations of this classic southern dish in a local mom-and-pop type restaurant. The service here was friendly and I enjoyed my time in the country store part. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is smart enough that requires you walk through the country store part to get to the restaurant which draws a decent chance of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store will get a bit more of the money in our wallet (or on our credit limit) by coercing us into buying something we never even thought about needing, but now we. My wife and I stopped to have breakfast at this Cracker Barrel restaurant, along with my wife's sister and her husband. The restaurant was fairly busy, but not slammed. We each ordered breakfast. I ordered country fried steak, with two eggs over easy, hash brown casserole, and biscuits & gravy. In a reasonable amount of time, my country fried steak arrived, plated with the two eggs over easy. No hash brow casserole. No biscuits & gravy. No basket of biscuits and cornbread muffins for the table to share. No silverware. Over the next 10-15 minutes, our table asked for silverware a total of five times, to multiple members of the restaurant staff. Eventually, the silverware arrived, long after my food had become much more delicious and enjoyable, by being allowed to cool to room temperature. In addition, we asked for the additional items of our food order (hash brown casserole and biscuits & gravy, in my case), a total of four times, again speaking to multiple members of the restaurant staff. Finally, I flagged down a waitress (who was not waiting on our table, and asked her to summon the Manager. When the manager arrived, I began to voice my concerns and complaints about the service that we were receiving. After about a minute of apparently listening and nodding her head, the manager simply turned and walked away. The biscuits & gravy arrived. They seemed to be prepared properly. The hash brown casserole arrived. Although warm, the potatoes were uncooked. They were, in fact, crunchy. Our party was being served raw potatoes. In short, our party was absolutely and totally disappointed with this visit at Cracker Barrel. I have eaten at dozens of Cracker Barrel restaurants, located throughout the United States. They have all been good visits, with good food. However, on this specific visit, nothing went right. This visit was an absolute disaster; mad even worse by the Manager simply walking away from, me while I was in the middle of speaking to her. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences I've had at Cracker Barrel. We arrived to a restaurant that was maybe a quarter full, yet the service was painfully slow. Our food was brought out wrong multiple times, items were missing, and even when we politely asked for the missing food, it took far too long to arrive. The entire process felt disorganized and frustrating. Refills? Not happening. We sat with empty glasses for most of the meal. It wasn't just us either--the woman seated next to us ordered a simple cup of coffee, and when they finally brought it out, it was cold. She had to ask for a fresh one. That really summed up the kind of service everyone around us was getting. To top it all off, they couldn't get our bill right, and when I went to pay, the cashier was too busy chatting with another employee to even acknowledge me at first. I felt like I was an inconvenience just for wanting to check out and fix the check. I've had good experiences at other Cracker Barrels, but this location completely missed the mark. There's something I wasn't sure I'd like about sourdough being used for French toast, but strangely, it works, especially when you add the strawberries. The crew here is always magnificent. As far as Cracker Barrel's go, this one was pretty good. They were really busy so service was a little slow, but our server did a great job. My blueberry pancakes were delicious. All of my food came out hot and fresh in a timely manner. My boyfriend's food did not all come out at once, and he had to wait quite a while for the rest of his food to come. Our server was so great about it, making sure that she kept stopping in to keep us updated, making sure we had full drinks, etc. When the check came, she took off a portion to make up for the time we had to wait. All the employees were very sweet and accommodating. As far as COVID guidelines go, they have added outdoor seating!
