Cracker Barrel breakfasts are fabulous, especially when you've spent the night in their parking lot. That might sound odd if you're not traveling by campervan, but like most locations, this one welcomes RVers with that polite understanding that if you're having a meal, you enjoy it with them. We'd rolled in too late for dinner, so breakfast was our chance to make good on the tradition. Just after the 7am opening we were through the door and seated, coffee arriving almost immediately. Mrs. K. went straight for the French Toast while I ordered the Uncle Hershel's because if I'm not doing keto on vacation, I'm going to enjoy it. Eggs, biscuits, hash brown casserole, sausage patties, all hot and filling and exactly the kind of road fuel you want, served with that easy southern hospitality that Cracker Barrel somehow gets right every time. We're big fans of CB, and while we're always looking for a place to park overnight, we're just as eager to sit down to a great meal when morning comes around. I visited Cracker Barrel on Saturday morning for breakfast with two friends, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. I ordered the Campfire Skillet Breakfast. After waiting about 30 minutes for our food, our waitress came to the table, handed me a menu, and told me they were out of the skillet breakfast and that I would need to order something else. What bothered me most was that it took 30 minutes for anyone to tell me this. A few minutes later, she returned with both of my friends' meals. At that point, I chose not to order anything else because I wasn't going to make my friends sit there and wait for another meal to be prepared and then wait for me to eat. The manager eventually came by, and I explained what had happened. His only response was basically, "I can go make you something real quick." There was no real acknowledgment of the poor communication, no apology for waiting 30 minutes before being told my order wasn't available, and no effort to address the fact that everyone else at the table had already received their food. I understand that restaurants run out of items--it happens. The problem was how the situation was handled. If I had been told shortly after ordering, I would have happily chosen something else and eaten breakfast with my friends. I love Cracker Barrel. Had a country boy breakfast today. 2 pancakes, country ham, hash brown casserole, 3 eggs. It was delicious. My wife had a grandma sampler with 2 blueberry pancakes, a slice of bacon, a piece of country ham, sausage patties, 2 eggs and hash brown casserole. Service was excellent. The dining room is set up with lots of antiques. My wife also likes shopping the store which always has unique items. Recommend highly! read more

We decided to stop in our way home from the casino. Love the shopping and items available at the front of the restaurant! Friendly environment. We got seated and placed our drink order with Patience. She was very polite and respectful. I ordered the egg sandwich with a fried egg and hash brown casserole. My husband got the Grandma's Breakfast. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. 45 minutes later our food came out. My egg sandwich was delicious! Loved the fresh tomatoes and mayo! That's about it. My husband put butter on his pancakes and they were so cold it didn't even melt. He had to use a knife to cut them they were so tough. Both of our hash brown casseroles were so cold it wasn't even edible. His bacon and sausage was also cold. He asked for our check immediately after informing our waitress that all the food was cold. When she returned she apologized and said that her manager told her we were clear to go no charge. We walked out and will never walk back in. read more

Whatever you do, don't order the chicken fried chicken- first off it just tasted weird and I don't know how you could have fried chicken, mashed potatoes and white gravy and none of it have any flavor but the worst part was within 30 minutes. I was throwing up.- I don't leave bad reviews. I'm giving this restaurant 1 star because the bathroom was clean, and the gift shop was nice. Otherwise, the food was terrible, and the service was even worse. We stopped for breakfast; the sausage was wafer thin and over cooked too hard and dry to eat. Eggs were tasteless and saltshaker was gummed up. They said our biscuits and gravy would be right out, but they never arrived, and waitress never checked on us. Husband had to get up and go search out a fork. I can't believe Cracker Barrel has gone so far down in service. Your cook is messing up big time by barely heating up the food that by the time it reaches the customer, it's semi-warm, if not cold already which explains why the food came out so fast considering there were only 8 customers in the place. Manager, you need to keep an eye on your workers, that what you're getting paid for. Customer service was good but don't overload them with customers, it doesn't make her look good and customers will assume it's her fault, it's not. I had the Meat Loaf with Corn Sweet Carrots and White Gravy that looked like Jello. Biscuits and Corn Bread got Semi Warm and she forgot the Jelly. read more

Road Trip Review: Weirdly, we've stopped here twice while driving on I-10 to destinations far beyond. I suppose it's because if you've been to one Cracker Barrel, you pretty much know what to expect when stopping at any. Food: stick to your ribs Southern cuisine. Chicken fried steak, chicken and dumplings, fried catfish, etc. No complaints from this visit, it was pretty much what you would expect at any Cracker Barrel. Service: Sleepy but we didn't run into the 1 star reviews level of bad service. Our main waiter showed up in good enough time, our orders came out before we started getting worried, and he brought to go boxes and the check when I caught his eye and asked. No real issue. Gift Shop: If you've never been to a Cracker Barrel prepare to walk into a gift shop before finding the dining room. It saved us a stop at the gas station for junk food, since we were able to load up on some candy/snacks before hitting the road again. Overall, if you've been to one, this one won't surprise you. If you've never been to a Cracker Barrel, give it a shot. This one is pretty much like the rest of them. read more

Ordered Friday Night Fish Fry tonight for supper. Looks real nice on menu, and I have had this in the past and got really nice cod filets. The other two pics are what I got for takeout of the exact same menu item. Do you see ANYTHING that looks like a filet? Gorton's fish sticks are of better quality than these. Plus I ordered biscuits and cornbread that I didn't get. On the positive side, I called and talked to a manager and she very graciously apologized for the crap on my plate and offered to replace it. When I said that wasn't an option as I had already gotten home, she took my info and told me my next meal would be free, and that she was cancelling the charge for the first one, This is not the first time I received fish like this when I ordered the Friday special. I stopped in here for a late lunch on a Monday with my boyfriend. We should have been seated right away, but the hostess wasn't at the stand and it took a really long time for her to show up. I actually had time to go to the bathroom and come back and still had to wait some more before we finally got shown to our table. For my main I ordered the Fried White Fish with sides of Loaded Steak Fries and White Cheddar Cheese Bites. He got the Hamburger Steak. -Fried White Fish: The Fish was just so-so. I thought it was kinda on the dry side. I just wished I was eating Catfish or Cod the whole time. I wouldn't order it again. -Loaded Steak Fries: The Fries were thick and big and proportionately loaded. They were good and I enjoyed them, but it was a huge portion and so much food, it was almost like ordering a Main. It would make a good shared Appetizer. -White Cheddar Cheese Bites: These weren't so great. I just wasn't that into them. I wouldn't order it again. -Hamburger Steak: I didn't taste it, but it looked cooked perfectly with just the right amount of browning and crust on it and he said he really enjoyed it and would order it again. read more

We have eaten at this Cracker Barrel at all hours of the day early morning and late at night, and have found the staff to be nothing but very friendly. We have also, with permission, stayed in our camper overnight in the lot, and we're very nicely welcome to stay. The food has been awesome, and on the one occasion that someone forgot to bring biscuits, she apologized profusely and got them out to us immediately. Is Cracker Barrel has been an excellent stay for us, and the staff has always been outstanding. read more

Worst dining experience I've had in years. Wait staff acted as though we were bothering her food, came out and only had the entrée on the plate no sides. I had ordered a salad before my entrée got there. It came out with the entrée waitress offered to replace our food because they were sold out of our side dishes and offered to replace them with something else. Suggest kitchen manager do temperate checks now and then to ensure food employees are serving food at appropriate food safety temperatures. I went here with my grandma and we walked in and saw a smore latte and so I ordered it and I got it pretty quickly but it was only sweet at the top and bottom 90% of it was pure coffee and I had to add sugar i dont known if its supposed to be like that but that was not even the worst part. The service was horrible the kitchen got backed up and we weren't informed for 30-45 minutes and it was about an hour wait to get our food. I had the chicken dippers with Mac n cheese and broccoli. The Mac n cheese was solid but everything else was crappie. The broccoli was chewey and plain. The tenders were tough and 70% bread. The biscuits were dry. My grandma had stake and it was as chewey as rubber. Just dont go here its not worth it trust me. read more

My family and I were traveling through to Florida and we figured that this place would be a good place for dinner. I got the meatloaf with Mac and cheese and dumplings and it tasted exactly how I remembered so good for them for not changing it. The service was excellent. I think our waitress was new but she did an amazing job taking care of us and deserves some recognition. Our food came out a little longer than we would have liked but if you have the time and patience I suggest you go look in the gift shop they have a 100000 thing to look at. The ambience is the classic old country style and I love Cracker Barrel for it. I strongly recommend this place 5/5! read more

I brought my 3 small, well behaved, children inside to use the restroom while we waited on other family members to arrive. Of course on our way back out to the porch area my kids asked to stop and look at the toys. That was fine by me until not even a minute passed by and a very strange female employee walked up and hovered over us swinging her keys around. I asked if there was a problem and she replies with no, yet she doesn't leave. She then pretends to play checkers (alone) right in front of us and eerily stares at my kids. The entire situation was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. I was not sure if she thought I had intentions on stealing or if she herself had other ill intent. Regardless, I did end up purchasing my kids 3 small toys just to satisfy them so we could hurry and get out of there. I then called to inform the other family members of the incident and we decided to dine elsewhere. This happened on 10/11/25. I was going to let this go, but I have decided that others need to know to just be aware of your surroundings if you choose to go here with small children. read more

What has happened to Cracker Barrel? We've always loved CB when traveling, but over the past 2 years we've been disappointed more often than not. We're on the road again and what we're thinking? I guess it's just habit to look for a CB for dinner. Tonight's fare was cold .... all of it!! Every item on both my husband's plate and mine. And they were out of mashed potatoes!! We sat and waited for an hour before even getting the "complimentary" biscuits, ordered our food and sat for yet another hour as we watched tables all around us come in AFTER us, get their food, AND leave. We were sat at a very dirty and wet table where drinks were spilled everywhere including my chair and the floor. The previous guest had left a tip in their utensil basket that was still on the dirty table. Food, napkins and unknown items were on the floor under my table and chair. We cleaned the table off with napkins and sanitising wipes we brought with us. A worker saw our predicament and helped us clean. None ever came to take our order ever. Other people that were seated after us were quickly waited on. Yet we could not get anyone attention to get help. She we left. We are done with this place and their pitiful service! read more

I shopped while I waited, but the store was full of people, and space was tight. I decided to make my purchases after breakfast. Breakfast was good and served quickly. It felt very busy, not as relaxing as I would've enjoyed, but service was good. I went back to the store after breakfast, and it wasn't as crowded with people but still pretty tight.
