Pot Roast, Green beans and fresh fruit

Food was excellent the pot roast had a large amount of meat and it was nice and tender. Fresh fruit had a good variety of fruit. It's Cracker Barrel and you always have to enjoy the fireplace on a cold evening. Abigail was excellent and polite.

    Blueberry Momma's Pancake Breakfast

Cracker Barrel is usually my "Go To" for breakfast but this day was less than superb! It wasn't too busy but we had about a 10 min wait which isn't horrible-perhaps they did not have enough staff . We were greeted by a server within a few minutes, my parents ordered coffee and I ordered tea. We looked over the menu and I was hungry for Blueberry pancakes so I ordered Momma's Pancake Breakfast, which was 3 Blueberry Pancakes, 2 Eggs(you choose style) and meat which I ordered Bacon. The Pancakes were a little over cooked and the server brought me regular syrup instead of the blueberry one. Eggs and bacon were good. My mom ordered the French Toast which came out burnt-I was surprised that they even made it out to the table like that! I told my mom to send it back as we are paying for it so she should get food that isn't burnt! We asked the server to take it back and my mom decided she wanted the blueberry pancakes instead. The server brought them about and they looked way better than the French toast. My dad ordered the Breakfast tacos which came out fine, he only ate 1.5 of it-it's a pancake with egg and bacon in it. Our server looked busy in our area but it really wasn't full, my mom had to ask for a refill of coffee during our meal. The server was friendly and she apologized about my mom's breakfast and ended up taking it off our ticket and just charged for 2 pancakes. I hope this was just a bad morning on their part-as breakfast is normally great here! Not sure if it was because it was New Year's Day morning and limited on workers.

    Corn Muffins

Excellent meal at a great price. I got the smoked chicken breast dinner with green beans and hash brown casserole with corn muffins. In my opinion cannot get a better meal for the price. We walked over from the Hampton Inn located just behind it--was so happy after a long day in the car to see this restaurant so close by.

we always take a picture of where we go to eat, so here is the proof.

I went to eat last night with my boyfriend at this location out of spontaneity. I was excited and in a good mood to try yummy food in a place I had never been, especially since i LOVE to eat. Immediately after finding the hostess counter, the hostess seemed irritated and annoyed. I am not one to be rude or disrespectful to those are taking care of me so her attitude caught me off guard. After being seated at out table, our waitress took 20 minutes to ask us what we wanted to drink & eat. Unfortunately, our food took even longer. I got the chicken fried steak w green beans, a loaded sweet potato, & cornbread. My honest review: the gravy was cold, steak was tough to cut through, breading was soggy, my green beans were canned & falling apart, the loaded sweet potato was good on top due to the brown sugar & marshmallow but immediately so bitter as I reached the inner part. The bread was good. As we came to finishing our meal, the waitress did not check on us until ~30 mins after leaving the check on the table. The service was okay, and the food was alright.

Not much to really say. Always good food here no matter the time of day. And the ladies can always shop there too.

It is your typical chain experience- long waits and not enough help. The staff working in the gift shop area are very nice and friendly.

Ordered the brisket sandwich & baked beans with a side order of corn bread. It was good but just didn't blow me away, but was satisfying. The owners were very pleasant and willing to help out with the menu. The beans were rather lackluster and the corn bread was served cold. I felt as if the corn bread should have been warmed and served with butter. The sandwich was good and the bun held up nicely. If you're in the mood for BBQ this is an option to check out.

I arrived at 1:00 PM, which I learned is too late to get ribs or brisket, since the locals buy all of it for lunch. Also out chicken breasts. I didn't want pulled pork, so I had a dry chicken thigh and a juicy beef link, which was clearly the highlight of the meal. The sides could have used seasoning and the gumbo was too watery. The person taking orders should do a better job guiding people through the confusing ordering process. Repeating the statement, "If it has a green tag next to it, that means we are out of it" seemed to become a little rude. I watched an older guy spend 10 minutes trying to figure out what he could order. Two other customers walked out. All I could do was laugh at the comedy skit between the customer and the owner. Also, if the order allows two sides, why can't both of them be yams? There seemed to be a policy against getting two of the same side even when the order comes with two sides. Although not a big deal, but I smelled like a BBQ pit when I left. Felt unsatisfied, I so I went to a small chain BBQ place to get ribs and brisket. The lesson is to get there early for ribs and brisket.

Service was a bit slow, and we were disappointed to find they were out of barbecue for the day. However, the food overall was good (albeit pricey), and the beer was excellent. I had the fish and chips with a side of creamed spinach and it was flavorful. Others at my table enjoyed the fettuccine Alfredo, wings, and burgers. I appreciate that the server provided a free dessert after spilling a water on one of our diners. Overall, I would return, though I have some qualms after reading some other reviews, particularly relating to hygiene.

The chicken however was like rubber. I ate half a small piece and put the rest to the side. My husband had the Pulled Pork platter which is normally good. The meat was really dry. I ate all the pasta and told our server about the chicken being like rubber and she stated that she's mentioned that exact thing to the cooks but that maybe if a customer complains they would possibly listen. What made me a little annoyed though was that I ate none of the chicken yet they didn't at least bump off a few bucks off my meal. The service was fine but I feel like over the years this has become my last choice versus my first choice.

I am still genuinely befuddled at this Friday night dinner experience…read more I came in for a celebratory Hurricane since I'd heard these were great (and we loved their cocktails the last time) and a bite. The place was pretty empty which was unusual; the last time we came in I think was in December and it was slammed! It turns out they aren't serving alcohol right now (apparently an ownership change? I didn't get the full scoop) so that was the first let-down. So fine - I'll just have a bowl of the gumbo. For $29?! And some biscuits. The gumbo comes out in a cracked bowl with a cracked plate underneath and the 3 little crawfish on top are refrigerator cold. Granted, the actual gumbo was pretty solid with the right amount of heft and spice and depth, but even then the rice had some hard pieces in it like it was old. The biscuits aren't anything to write home about and the butter is just meh. I wouldn't spend my carbs there. On top of all that, the waitress literally couldn't be bothered that I existed. I had to pry to get a drink menu (which is when I found out they weren't serving any), I couldn't get any eye contact from her or any kind of friendliness, she asked me if I wanted them to "heat it up" when I told her about the crawfish, and then brought my bill when I hadn't even finished dinner without bothering to ask if I wanted any dessert. And on top of that, there was no mention at all about the dinner issues or any apology whatsoever. I don't need or want a meal comped but for over $40 for a bowl of gumbo and some biscuits (+ tax, tip, etc) I at least expect some acknowledgement or "hey, here's something nice we can do for you". We really enjoyed the last time we were here and this was a genuinely jarring experience compared to that. The place looks pretty rough right now - maybe this is one of those places that has the right vibe in the dark, but nothing felt right about it today, and I'm afraid I can't (won't) recommend it again.
