Had a great experience here. While the menu isn't completely vegetarian friendly, our staff member was knowledgeable and knew how to help with my dietary restrictions (dairy). She also was attentive and went beyond her role to get us a little soup container with ice so we could keep our baby's food cold while we continued our drive. Will not be back. We ordered 2 chicken sandwiches, both of which didn't have the smoky mayo on them that they should have. We asked for it and they brought us packets of expired mayo, we asked again, and got something other than mayo. We asked a 3rd time to finally get it. While asking for these things the waitress got snippy and walked away while we were talking to her. Also on our plates were random things that we didn't order (1 fried pickle & a random fry) plus the root of an onion. Took 25 minutes to get drinks.The front of house manager saw us sitting without drinks and sent someone to see if we had been helped but right then our server showed up Asked 3 people to bring a coffee pot to our table but no one would and after another 15 minutes our server finally brought one. We are in town for the night and ordered the Sunday Fried Chicken Picnic. We ordered online and showed up at the tail end for our pick up time, and ended up waiting another 30 minutes after arriving. After we got back to the hotel, we realized we never got any rolls and all the food was room temperature at best. For a meal totaling almost $38 this is unacceptable. A Morning at Cracker Barrel Ate this morning at Cracker Barrel after many months surviving covid Ate there with anticipation hoping quality from them they would be devoted Instead we were served a below average meal It was mostly tepid with little appeal The waitress was kind but often not in sight So as problems with our meal occurred it took time to relate our plight The manager was very young, almost a teenager it seemed We tried to explain our poorly prepared meal without coming off inconsiderate and mean With apologies given for the poor food He said have a great day--he was polite and not at all rude So if to Cracker Barrel you wish to go some day Don't say you haven't been warned is what I'm trying to say! I might start by saying that pre-covid we ate at this location sometimes twice a week with only occasional quality or temperature of food difficulties. Today was an epic failure by everyone involved. Coffee was luke warm with several retries. Waitress attentive to this problem but if you used any creamer, the coffee was tepid. Our meal was the Country Boy which has been a favorite selection over the years. The only thing warm were the biscuits, which were a quality offering. The poached eggs were cooked solid and barely warm. The gravy and grits were returned to be heated up. My hash browns were absolutely cold. So the whole meal came back at 10 minute intervals individually prepared items as a la cart orders. That is because as I tried each thing the waitress then returned it right then to be redone. So as she returned there was another thing to deal with. Gravy and grits returned after a few minutes. So I ate that while still somewhat warm. Eggs returned after 10 minutes fried as was requested because I wasn't ready to chance poached again. They were hot and cooked to order. So I ate them and waited for the next order to come. About 10 minutes later the manager brought the hash browns which were hot and freshly prepared. So I ate that portion of my meal with little enthusiasm having eaten the other items over a period of time. The very young manager did ask if there was anything he could do for us but honestly he should have just canceled my bill or greatly discounted it's price. Not wanting to appear like I wanted to get out of paying and looking like the bad guy, I said: just so you know this was an very poor meal and How would you like to eat everything separately in 10-15 minute intervals like it was a la cart? My wife did say we aren't asking to not pay the bill. He said if there is nothing else I can do for you have a great day! Too late for that lol--after years eating at Cracker Barrel it is unlikely I will return--The manager did say they extremely under staffed and he was helping in the kitchen with preparation. Their restaurant side features great home cooked meals. We have been here for breakfast for the past few weeks, and they have yet to disappoint. Their offer the tradition breakfast items of eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, etc. One of their "Must Try" items is their old fashioned maple syrup that they serve with their pancakes. Don't be offended, I never give 5 stars on anything. Cracker Barrel is one of my family's favorite restaurants. The food may not be high class, but that's not what it's meant to be. Portions are abundant and flavorful. Try the apple butter -- amazing! Older adults will love the store. Hard to find candy, old time bottled soda, nostalgia at its finest. My young daughter enjoys looking at the "antique" toys -- they give off a feel of "my daddy's daddy might have had something like this". And then there's the fireplace. The smell of that wood being burned and standing near its warmth elicit feelings of a simpler time. I've eaten this meal for 20+ years. The wait was unusually long. When the plate came out the fixings were cold and the fish was between hot and warm. The eggs, ordered Over Easy, looked correct but yolks were thoroughly cooked hard. I would not have written this until my interaction with the cashier did not go well, IMO. She asked, like they all do, How was your meal? I said, The service was great, the catfish was ok, but all the sides were cold, eggs over cooked. She laughed at me and said nothing in response about my answer to her question! I love CB. I own CB stock! Hey CB management,... train your people to engage customers properly to all answers to their questions! Now mind you, I love the food here and the atmosphere. That being said, going here on Thanksgiving with a party of 7 may not have been the greatest idea! They don't have reservations, but you can call ahead and let them know what time you would like a table. We did that, and we STILL had to wait an HOUR. (I was already upset because we were told 30 to 45 mins.on the outside.)So, we got a table, and our waiter was horrible ! He didn't refill our drinks without hammering him down (went to help the table with 2 next to us several times, never even looked at us, half of us were out) ,never did bring us cornbread (said they were out the entire time we were there, got just biscuits) and forgot my pumpkin pie (had to be reminded) He was only helping ONE other table at the time, He was either really new or really bad, or both. I was angry. With some preparation ,and not having children run place, this could have been avoided. I'm NOT a 'Karen', I just wanted a nice dinner with my family without all the stress. I went in expecting some great food, I love Cracker Barrel. I have eaten at various restaurant across the Midwest. I ordered chicken and dumplings, they were cold, Mac and cheese, very bland, and steak fries. Then I got praline bread pudding, it was microwaved so long the sides were hard, and chewing, and so hot I couldn't even eat it. The soda was running out of syrup and had that funny carbonation taste. I was very disappointed in this location. I did come in closer to the closing hour, but even after I was seated approximately 5 couples were seated after me.The staff was upset because they hadn't been cut yet, one manager with long blonde hair was in the back pulling her hair up in a pony tail at one point. Then when the servers were cut and cashing out, they yelled across the store at the lady working the register who was with a customer and the best I had seen from anyone there. Another young did come to her aid to get the yelling server out. Looking at the reviews I think this place is a hit or miss and after that experience I will probably miss it next time I'm in town. read more

We just ate at this Cracker Barrel for our Thanksgiving meal and our experience was excellent! This has to be one of the busiest days of the year to eat out and the restaurant was definitely ready for the huge crowds. We didn't have to wait long to be seated or to receive our food. My husband ordered a steak and was very pleased with how it turned out. I ordered the turkey dinner and my meal was delicious! We were very pleased! We had our two children with us, ages 2 and 5. We were probably the neediest family in the restaurant tonight, but our waitress Tahya was phenomenal with us. She was very sweet, attentive and patient with all our needs. Great service! Great food! They ignore you after you're seated. They don't even take orders. After being seated, it took 29 minutes and I had to flag down 3 different employees - Alice, Kaitlyn, and Lydia - to get our section's server. We then saw her twice, once to order and once for food & check. No table touches at all, and she kept holding a serving platter in front of her apron so I couldn't get her name. Even after ordering, our food (bacon, pancakes and coffee) took another 38 minutes to get to us. So from sitting down to getting our food was an hour and change. When we got our food, she also gave us our check and asked if we'd be long as they now had a wait time in the lobby of over an hour and needed the table. Un-friggin-believable. When I got to the register, the cashier canceled the transaction because she saw I didn't tip, and asked that I not be rude to my server. So I told her about my experience, and she just shrugged and said "yea that happens sometimes, you still tip." So I asked to talk to her manager and she said no and ran my card. At least they got my order right, despite being ice cold. Originally posted this review on another site and Corporate told me to reach out and they'd 'rectify' the situation. My wife and I went here yesterday around 4 pm, and it was a quiet time of day for this place. So, we were served very quickly. The Campfire Chicken was very hot, but the breakfast was not. Worst service I have ever had. At first, the server came off very nice and sweet, but then her service was terrible. Our drinks took about 10 minutes to come out. On top of that, when our food finally came out, she forgot half of the things that came with our meals. When someone else in my party asked where their sides were, she ROLLED HER EYES and then said yea I'll get that for you. I went to give her my plate to get it out of the way, bc god knows when she was going to return to the table, she ROLLED HER EYES AGAIN. My food was also a little cold when it came out. To add on top of the experience, we had told the manager what happened, he said it was our fault!! We were not the only table there with the same experience. Side note- there was no reason for her to have bad service, she had 2 tables. She is very quick to judge, could not answer our questions adequately and showed poor customer service, treating our party of people with very little respect.
