I really enjoyed my food. I got a special that had eggs, grits, toast, a waffle and bacon. I love my bacon crispy but not burnt. It was the best bacon EVER. All the food was very good. My friend and I went to the Waffle House on Rowe Drive today, and we had an excellent experience! It was pretty busy, but the service was fast. Our waiter, Yubray aka (Yubi), was fantastic he was on point with everything!!!! Plus, he attends the one and only NC Wesleyan University (LET'S GO)!!! I ordered the chicken breast with two eggs over easy, grits, and hashbrowns topped with mushrooms, onions, and cheese. My friend had the cheesesteak with scrambled eggs and cheese, along with hashbrowns that also had onions, cheese, and mushrooms. Everything was amazing! We will definitely be visiting again! I've been going at this Waffe House on and off for years. I go tonight ordered the chicken plate w hashbrowns fried hard crispy. I got the plate but chicken was cooked with all the other grease from cooking other foods and made my chicken salty as hell and stringy outside dried up. just stopped at the waffle house in Rocky Mount. I was the only one there and I asked my waitress. Could they cut the music down? She laughed walk back off to the other employee, came take my order and asked her again and she laughed. so I asked a third time and she said in a very rude tone. I asked her if I could turn it down and I didn't say anything got up and left. We enjoyed our dinner at this Waffle House. At the time we got there other than one man we were the only ones in the place. Several customers came in about the time we were done eating. The two people working were very nice and the server who helped us was very professional and polite. We both ordered waffles and a meat with 2 drinks. The waffles were cooked perfectly and so was my bacon. The gentleman that served us was pulling double duty as cook and handled it well. My only negative about every Waffle House I have been in is that whatever they wash their utensils in gives the appearance they are dirty when in fact it's just water spots. Food was incorrect and they waiter was rude. When we asked for a remake she got huffy puffy about it. And when they brought out food out the 2nd time it was under cooked. wasn't the best place we ever had. Then the lady had that took care of us that night then looked at me and asked if we're gonna leave her a tip. I don't think so. My food was incorrect not once but TWICE. We travel by car between Florida and New England and always get a warm greeting from the employees who work at this Waffle House location. The food and service are excellent and we are always made to feel right at home as soon as we arrive. A young woman named Essence was particularly delightful. On the surface, this was just like any other Waffle House I've ever been in, but I must say there was a difference. The service was great, and the food was better. Paul politely greeted me at the counter, and proceeded to have the cook, Shirley, craft me an AMAZINGLY AWESOME low-carb breakfast for which I was grateful. My omelet was light and fluffy, the bacon cooked just right, everything was super. I have not enjoyed breakfast this much in I don't know how long, and i love a good breakfast.
