Well I'm back with another review... this time for Cracker Barrel near the Philadelphia airport.... Let we start by saying that the food was traditional Cracker Barrel.... What mostly impressed me was the awesome customer service... The Manager Johnathan and the server Lakeisha were top class... I have eaten at many Cracker Barrel restaurants and never received the service or attention I did at this one.... I was traveling with a relative who can.. how can I put it, put a service provider to the TEST... The manager and server did not disappoint. They make it hard for any other Cracker Barrel restaurant to deliver this type of service... Johnathan should be used as a trainer for other locations.. Great job... read more

Cracker Barrel never disappoints! It's always a must-stop on any road trip, and this visit was no exception. From the moment we walked in, Savannah made us feel right at home! Her 5-star service was absolutely top-notch! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. My fiancé ordered the steak and eggs, cooked just right and full of flavor, while I had the Old Timer's Breakfast with fried apples and sausage. Everything was delicious! And of course, you can't forget the warm, fluffy biscuits and that amazing sausage gravy; truly the best part of any Cracker Barrel meal! Service was overall good. Attentive and friendly. Food was okay. I got the breakfast burger - asked for it medium...it came out well done. I'm not big on sending food back so just finished half of it. Got the grandpa's country breakfast platter and the gravy was bland...hashbrown casserole was salty. Server asked us what kind of cheese on the eggs and we assumed it came with the platter but we were charged an additional $1.49 for a slice of American cheese. I would understand .49 charge but 1.49 is steep for one slice of cheese. The steak and grilled chicken platter was good for the most part...steak was also overcooked...we asked for medium...should've asked for medium rare... My wife and mother went to Cracker Barrel for lunch. It was a cool little store and restaurant. The store was a little expensive, but not too bad. They had interesting little items, candies, and sodas to choose from and I picked up a few sodas. The cashier was extremely nice. No complaints for the store. The dining room was a little crowded, but that isn't Cracker Barrel's fault. One of the seats for our table had crumbs and trash on it. The server took a little long to get to us. The food was okay, but not fantastic. We got the Shepherd's Pie and the Eggs, Ham, and Hashbrowns breakfast. The ham was really tough and really fatty. The Shepherd's Pie was pretty good. Overall, it was an okay place. I would return, it just wouldn't be my first choice of place to go. read more

Still one of my fave places to stop and have a decent meal when on a road trip away from NYC. They still have a lot of their signature meal items but love how they've revamped their pot roast but their version of Shepard's pie was really weird... Loved the battered and fried pickle chips though! Always feels like a holiday when you walk through their general store area even when it's not an holiday season. read more

Sometimes you're just in the mood for unpretentious dining... Today was that day for me. After running errands, it was close to 4pm and I hadn't eaten. Cracker Barrell in Ridley Park was 4 mins away and the decision was made! I always love their country store and the nostalgic items they carry. Since it was a Monday, I practically had the run of the place. I was promptly greeted and seated. My waitress Kim immediately approached my table and was very friendly and attentive. She remained that way throughout the entire experience. Great service is paramount and Kim hit all the bars! I ordered the Momma's Breakfast with French Toast and coffee. The wait was only 25 minutes on a Saturday around noon. Cameron, a "general sales and services" employee, was so friendly and professional. During the wait time, I window shopped through the fun store front. I bought nothing but took photos of potential gifts. Nene was my server. After she brought me my order, she walked away without giving me some utensils and napkins. I had to wait several minutes until I saw her again to ask for some, and on one occasion, when she was attending to a few customers at another table, she turned around and gave me a dirty look. The tasty roast beef, fried okra and grits made up for her poor service. The biscuits were okay plain but tasted better when smeared with some blackberry preserves. Be sure to get a seat by the wood burning fireplace. Hearing and seeing the wood crackle on a cold winter day provides the right element for a romantic meal even if you are seated by yourself. Personally, I would not come back here because of Nene. I left her no tip. She deserved nothing. I tipped Cameron instead. read more

I'm from Connecticut I often go there when I'm visiting a great friend of mine and I normally don't eat breakfast but I wanted to try it this time so I ordered the strawberry cheesecake pan cakes with strawberry syrup when I tell you it was so addictive and they give you so much for your money the price was reasonable I ate breakfast there two days in a row by myself and the waitress I didn't get her name which I should have she was very very nice the prices have always been pretty decent and I always buy the old school candy and bring back to Connecticut for my sister even though we have a Cracker Barrel in Connecticut but I like bringing it from there no complaints. The atmosphere is nice I like that they have all the gifts and stuff in the shop up front where you can buy their awesome the gifts and their prices have stayed pretty mellow with everything. read more

I remember only a single visit to a Cracker Barrel many years ago, so my recollection here is a bit dim. Admittedly, the walk through the store portion was a bracing reminder of the good ole' country comfort experience that awaits as most of the bric-a-brac novelties will soon be starring at your neighborhood garage sale -- but I did pick up a very nifty WWJD Pez dispenser and an elusive Hee Haw boxed set on VHS. Seriously, the food was terrific. Sure there's enough lard and grease on the menu to put your cardiologist in his grave but my scrambled eggs, toast and hash browns were perfect -- service was with a smile and there was absolutely no rush. At the very least, I'll never ever have to revisit the Bear Jamboree at Disney World. Five easy stars. read more

I've been to many a Cracker Barrel's in several states. Negatives: This one - service was so slow. Took forever to get a refill. It was cold in there and the fans above us were on high. We asked if they could be turned down or off. Our server said it needed to stay on per corporate. On the other side of the restaurant there were fans off. Tables sat full of dishes long after people left. Long line for checkout & only one person helping checkout. The positive : Food was good, per usual. We got the fried pickles, so yummy! Had breakfast here on Saturday and was served a piece of sugar ham that tasted and smelled rotten.

I stopped in at Cracker Barrel for brunch, there was no wait to be seated, but to my surprise there is a new menu which several items have been taken off due to supply and demand. So if you're looking for turkey products including turkey bacon & sausage or catfish they don't have it at this particular location anymore. There's only a select few Cracker Barrel's in the south that have these items in stock, but they do offer a spicy chicken sausage and the impossible sausage an option. The restaurant was very clean and the coffee was hot (a little weak for my taste, but it was hot). Our waitress Dejonna was great, she knew the menu well and she suggested suitable alternatives for discontinued items; she was personable and definitely good at her job. Kudos Dejonna! read more

My friends and I came here because it was right next to our hotel and was a quick grab to eat. We walked in around 2PM and were seated right away. Our server, Neicy was great to us. Very attentive, helpful and had a great personality. The business gives off a country breakfast diner type of vibe. I ordered the grandma's sampler which was 50/50. The pancakes that came with it were AMAZING and so was the country hash. All of my proteins sucked! The eggs, the bacon and the sausage were Terrible! It didn't taste authentic (but more like very artificial meat and tasteless undercooked eggs). They also served us biscuits before our meals which were also very good with both the jelly and the butter. My friend ordered the fried shrimp basket with steak fries and her meal tasted wayyy better than mine So i would probably get that if I ever came back again next time. The food portions are enormous, and the price is very affordable so you definitely get your bang for your buck. This Cracker Barrel has some shady a** employees working. I submitted a uber eats order 2 hours before they closed yet they didn't process and complete the order till 30 minutes before they closed. Being that the location closed in 30 minutes the uber driver didn't have enough time to get to the restaurant before they closed the doors. If the order was made and processed why wasn't it left somewhere for the driver to pick up? Even somewhere out by the front door? I get closing time and not wanting to wait around for a driver but simply placing the so called "processed" order outside takes no skill at all. Makes you wonder if they made the food and took it home for the night. Why allow customers to order food hours before you close if you're just going to close down before it gets picked up? read more

I usually love Cracker Barrel, but my family and I concluded that it's best to visit in the morning/afternoon. The last few times we've visited in the evening for dinner (after 5-6pm) and the quality of the meal was terrible. Thin, soupy chicken and dumplings, burnt grilled chicken, dry meatloaf. It's as if the night time shift cook either doesn't care or isn't the best cook. We stopped here after driving 9 hours from Myrtle beach. Ashley took care of us numerous times because we come every year. She is always polite, positive and in a wonderful mood. To night was absolutely horrible. It took 30 mins for biscuits and we waited for 1:30 mins for our actual food. When the food came out it as old and cold and we were missing stuff. Manager acted like he was delusional and didn't know how to correctly do his job. When I sent my cold food back it too another 30mins and was still bad. I went to Cracker Barrel after my bloodwork appt. today. They were really busy. That said I ordered my favorite breakfast. French toast and hash brown casserole. After almost 1 hour the server brought out my food. The French toast was lukewarm at best. The serving size was ridiculously small. The hashbrowns were good. I was so disappointed. My experience at the Ridley Park Cracker Barrel on Sunday 9/1/25. I got there about 10:30am and had to wait about 30 min. That was fine. I was seated and waited a little until someone came and took our drink order. It took some time for her to return with our drinks. She left and came back to take our order. Never came back to see if we needed more coffee. 40 min later she started to bring out some food. Just some of the food for 3 of us and not even all of what those 3 ordered. We were 5 in total. Was told the rest is on the way. None of us still don't have utensils. 10 min later and she brings the utensils and no food. We ask to see the manager and he comes out. He stands there and asks what's wrong. We tell him and he just stands there looking at us and not saying anything. We ask him why he isn't saying anything and he just stands there not knowing what to say, I guess. He does kinda say there are problems there or something. He leaves and we wait a few min and then all of us get up and leave to go elsewhere. read more

Family of 5 just pigged oouutttt at this Cracker Barrel and the bill was only 75 bucks. All of the food was good, the sides came out a little cool but not enough to complain. Our server was awesome. Her name is Michelle. She was very attentive, predicted what we needed, gave us food ideas that didn't cost us more but totally enhanced the dinner, and when my son asked for more soda she confirmed with me first. I mean come on, she was awesome. I wish I had her as my waitress at every place I go out to eat. We had fried chicken dinner, the sweet and Smokey chicken dinner, and three kids meals. The apps are good priced if you get three; I highly recommend the fried pickles with the dill ranch (thanks Michelle for making sure we got the dip). We ordered two desserts to go and she made sure the Iced cream was in a diff to-go dish then the cake so it wouldn't get ruined. I'm generally a Cracker Barrel fan but some locations are much better than others. Stopped at this location twice this week. First time was very good. Second time was just OK; my chicken and dumplings were cold. I didn't complain, so shame on me. Service was good both times and you can't argue the value. You'll be hard pressed to spend $15 on an entree and you won't leave hungry. My 3 star rating isn't meant to be bad, it's meant to be "OK". Worth a visit but I perhaps wouldn't wait if there was a line. I'll return when I'm next in the area, if I'm in the mood for this kind of food. read more

Today's visit was a pleasure. Started out with the hostess, Kayla. Kayla was very nice, cheerful (but you could tell busy, hustling). She smiled and greeted me. Accommodated our handicap person with a good seating arrangement. She was hustling back and forth from the kitchen getting utensils and prepping menus. But still kept a cheerful attitude and was super friendly. Our server was Lisamarie, another hustler but very sweet and professional. Chatted like we've known each other prior. Very attentive to details on our order. Once she saw the kitchen was backed up, brought us muffins without even asking. Kept checking back to make me sure all was good. My family and I went back to Cracker Barrel after being invited by the general manager to hopefully have a better experience. The service was prompt and they had us seated quickly and were very attentive. We had our drinks quickly, our food quickly, and it was hot. We didn't have to look for anything or ask for anything and the manager came out by the end to see how everything went. They were proactive with fixing the previous experience and had a great time. I've eaten at several Cracker Barrels up and down the Mid-Atlantic and this one lives up to the standards of other Cracker Barrels in the region. The staff from the outside and inside hostesses to our waitress were all very friendly. I'm still scratching my head as to the need for an outside hostess as the several outdoor tables were empty and we were told we could only eat inside. My daughter and I ordered the Chicken 'n' Dumplins Lunch Special with mine coming with a side of green beans and hers coming with a side of mac 'n' cheese. Both of our dumplins were room temperature as well as my daughters' mac 'n' cheese. My green beans were cold which was very surprising considering the indoor part of the restaurant was nearing it's maximum 25% capacity under COVID-19 and it was 12:30pm right in the middle of lunch platter. Our meals were sloppily plated much like the stereotypical angry lunch lady slopping cafeteria food onto our plate. Despite our lunches being luke warm to cold, the food tasted good. All in all, it was a typical Cracker Barrel visit, but with serious room for improvement. read more

The food is always delicious here! Was able to dine in about two weeks ago with the family and we enjoyed our outing a lot. My only complaint would be that the table that we sat at kind of stunk, smelling of an old dirty rag. I tried to wipe the table with some sanitizer wipes I had and the smell still lingered. I rarely eat at chain restaurants. Not because I'm a snob; more because I don't drive, rarely join others on long road trip adventures and live in a densely populated part of Philly that has few chains. Tweedie, a friend from Wyoming, who does go on long road trips, was visiting the tri-state area. He has a few bases of operations-Rancho Mirage in California, a house in Cody, Wyoming, a hidely hole in San Jose and some dystopian compound near Parhump, Nevada. I took advantage of his love of driving and my own obsession with being a passenger and we enjoyed a lot of 'let's just get in the truck and see where we wind up' adventures while he was in town. He loves Cracker Barrel and when we passed this one, he asked if I was hungry. It was early-ish in the day. While I generally do not get up and eat breakfast, I'd fortified myself with a few pots of tea and he'd fueled up with Dunkin' Donuts coffee before we left. I checked in with my stomach and it said, yes, I should eat, so we decided to break our fast here. Since it was a weekday, there was no wait to be seated. The hostess was rather blank-neither friendly or rude-but we figured she was not joining us for the meal and may have had deeper things on her mind than trying to charm us. The restaurant looked spotless and well tended. Our server came within seconds of us being seated at a clean, non-sticky table to take beverage orders. I was surprised to see Twinings tea on the menu and promptly asked for a large pot. The server frowned at me. Hmmm-did I commit a faux pas? She told me I could have as many refills as I wanted but not a large pot. Okay-semantics. Before she left, we told her we knew what we wanted to eat (Old Timers Breakfast x 2), so everything was ordered together. To me, most of the breakfast offerings looked the same-iterations of eggs different ways accompanied by grits, biscuits, choices of breakfast protein-and Tweedie agreed that they varied little from each other but assured me that we would not leave hungry. Hot beverages appeared quickly. My companion was happy with his coffee and I with my tea. It seemed like almost no time had passed when our server returned and filled our table with hot plates, biscuits, butter, preserves and asked if we needed anything else. Nope-we were ready for this. Maybe it was simply novelty, maybe I was hungrier than I'd suspected, but everything tasted basically good. Scrambled eggs, grits, fried apples, bacon, hash browns, what I know as 'milk gravy' and hot biscuits. We got quiet as we got down to the job of raising our blood sugar and we cleaned our plates. The server checked in dutifully, each time being assured we were fine and in need of nothing else. Would I go out of my way to return to Cracker Barrel? No. Would I send friends there? Sure, if they were on a long trip, it was on their route and they were famished. Was the food outstanding? No, but for $9.99, it was more than adequate, it was a comforting, mostly carby and very filling breakfast in a clean establishment. We were sated and in need of no further nourishment until early dinner time. Cracker Barrel doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is-an inexpensive chain restaurant and I'm okay with that. read more
