Southern Fried Chicken mac & cheese sweet potato

I've been to Cracker Barrel in NJ, PA, & FL. Their PA locations are always the best! Very kind waitress & quick service. Food was great. Mac & cheese was cold & burnt, but they replaced it (see second photo).

Still one of my fave places to stop and have a decent meal when on a road trip away from NYC. They still have a lot of their signature meal items but love how they've revamped their pot roast but their version of Shepard's pie was really weird... Loved the battered and fried pickle chips though! Always feels like a holiday when you walk through their general store area even when it's not an holiday season.

Stopped by here before heading to the airport, which is 7 minutes away. Ordered my usual chicken fried steak, with carrots, potato casserol and fried apples. Chicken fried steak was just ok -- a little small and was not as crispy as it looked. Service was great, but food under-delivered. I did pick up 3 boxes of pancake mix to bring home, so overall the trip was a win!

Sometimes you're just in the mood for unpretentious dining... Today was that day for me. After running errands, it was close to 4pm and I hadn't eaten. Cracker Barrell in Ridley Park was 4 mins away and the decision was made! I always love their country store and the nostalgic items they carry. Since it was a Monday, I practically had the run of the place. I was promptly greeted and seated. My waitress Kim immediately approached my table and was very friendly and attentive. She remained that way throughout the entire experience. Great service is paramount and Kim hit all the bars! I ordered the Momma's Breakfast with French Toast and coffee. My food arrived quickly and was fresh. I recommend a trip there!

The wait was only 25 minutes on a Saturday around noon. Cameron, a "general sales and services" employee, was so friendly and professional. During the wait time, I window shopped through the fun store front. I bought nothing but took photos of potential gifts. Nene was my server. After she brought me my order, she walked away without giving me some utensils and napkins. I had to wait several minutes until I saw her again to ask for some, and on one occasion, when she was attending to a few customers at another table, she turned around and gave me a dirty look. The tasty roast beef, fried okra and grits made up for her poor service. The biscuits were okay plain but tasted better when smeared with some blackberry preserves. Be sure to get a seat by the wood burning fireplace. Hearing and seeing the wood crackle on a cold winter day provides the right element for a romantic meal even if you are seated by yourself. Personally, I would not come back here because of Nene. I left her no tip. She deserved nothing. I tipped Cameron instead.

    Beef Campfire......very good!

Beef Campfire was very good, the Pot Pie was just ok.....wouldn't recommend. Fried Pickle app was a little disappointing.

I've been to many a Cracker Barrel's in several states. Negatives: This one - service was so slow. Took forever to get a refill. It was cold in there and the fans above us were on high. We asked if they could be turned down or off. Our server said it needed to stay on per corporate. On the other side of the restaurant there were fans off. Tables sat full of dishes long after people left. Long line for checkout & only one person helping checkout. The positive : Food was good, per usual. We got the fried pickles, so yummy! Very crispy & hot.

I stopped in at Cracker Barrel for brunch, there was no wait to be seated, but to my surprise there is a new menu which several items have been taken off due to supply and demand. So if you're looking for turkey products including turkey bacon & sausage or catfish they don't have it at this particular location anymore. There's only a select few Cracker Barrel's in the south that have these items in stock, but they do offer a spicy chicken sausage and the impossible sausage an option. The restaurant was very clean and the coffee was hot (a little weak for my taste, but it was hot). Our waitress Dejonna was great, she knew the menu well and she suggested suitable alternatives for discontinued items; she was personable and definitely good at her job. Kudos Dejonna!

My friends and I came here because it was right next to our hotel and was a quick grab to eat. We walked in around 2PM and were seated right away. Our server, Neicy was great to us. Very attentive, helpful and had a great personality. The business gives off a country breakfast diner type of vibe. I ordered the grandma's sampler which was 50/50. The pancakes that came with it were AMAZING and so was the country hash. All of my proteins sucked! The eggs, the bacon and the sausage were Terrible! It didn't taste authentic (but more like very artificial meat and tasteless undercooked eggs). They also served us biscuits before our meals which were also very good with both the jelly and the butter. My friend ordered the fried shrimp basket with steak fries and her meal tasted wayyy better than mine So i would probably get that if I ever came back again next time. The food portions are enormous, and the price is very affordable so you definitely get your bang for your buck. We definitely needed somewhere quick to eat our food and Cracker Barrel definitely did the job.

Do not park in the lot next to the building because it is for the US Postal Service and your vehicle will be towed. There is a parking garage around the corner on the corner of Walnut and Chestnut Streets. The cost is 25 cents for every 15 minutes. We ordered an Old-Fashioned with Woodford and a Blueberry Shaker. The Blueberry Shaker was only 3 dollars more than the regular drink and it yielded a total of 4 drinks for my partner. The drinks were good. For our meals we had the Steak and Shrimp Bourbon, Bourbon Street Burger, and a side Caesar Salad. Everything tasted very good. The decor is New Orleans Style although not completely authentic. There is a beer garden for those who want a less formal atmosphere. The hostess was incredibly good at her job. She was very friendly and engaging. We really enjoyed her service. First, my girlfriend and I arrived to the restaurant. We requested a specific table, and the host was gracious enough to do so. We then waited 8 minutes before our table was even touched, and it was just our (server? No intro, nothing) ASKING us if we'd like water. We say yes, and then waited an additional 5 minutes just to receive water in PLASTIC cups. Again, this person never told us his name, and we weren't even sure if he was taking our order or not. He appeared to be about 18, and was most certainly high Then, we requested glasses, and since it had been 15+ minutes since we sat down, said we were ready to order when we got the glasses. The guy took our order. We both got cocktails, which also took about 10 minutes. Finally, our appetizer came. We weren't even halfway through before the entrees came, we probably had about 10 minutes to finish it. This all could have been negated if our order was taken correctly, and things could have been staggered correctly. The "two bite" check occurred within 30 seconds of our food being dropped, and by then I hadn't even touched my food. It was way too early and felt like he was just trying to get it out of the way. At that point both my girlfriend and I were just ready to eat and we said everything was fine. I had to ask the guy for a bag on the way out, rather than him giving me one after our food was put into 3 boxes. I want to be empathetic of whatever was going on at The Social that Sunday. Yet, if you are going to make your steak $42, the service needs to justify that price. I will not be going back to The Social, and encourage their management to speak to their server who flubbed the ENTIRETY of my experience there. Myself and my girlfriend both work in the service / restaurant industry, and we know what good service is. We also understand that there are bad days. This was just abysmal. 4/10.

It took almost an hour for them to make my food (and I'm assuming other orders as my Dasher made 2 other stops and provided updates on the wait time). By the time I received my food it was in a grocery bag that was soaked inside due to condensation. I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich and the cheesesteak eggrolls. The eggrolls came in a proper takeout container and tasted OK, though I should've removed the bed of lettuce before saving them for later. After sitting for a while, the eggrolls absorbed the flavors of the lettuce and became bitter. It was not pleasant. The chicken sandwich came wrapped similar to what's expected from Burger King and was messy to eat, but it was better than I thought it would be. The hot honey didn't provide any heat, but the chicken was so crunchy around the edges. Last, the fries weren't great as they were placed in a paper envelope (also similar to what Burger King provides in a to-go bag) that was completely soaked. They were soft, but cooled for too long to hold any flavor. As mentioned it was an OK meal, but I wouldn't recommend it. Dining in the restaurant would likely provide a better experience.

There is a 2 hour parking limit closer to the restaurant. Atmosphere. Nice and lively. There were groups, so it was loud. You can sit at the bar upstairs or downstairs. They have a small patio and outdoor seating. Service: Sydney was awesome! She knew the menu and gave me suggestions as well as the special of the day. Danielle and her trainee were very engaging. Drink: I had the peach bellini and it was good. It had peach pieces! They also offer a mimosa tower for three or more people for $70. Food: I ordered different dishes. Their menu reeled me in. I ordered the following: Fried pickles because I love pickles but I wasn't a fan. It came with a red and white sauce which was good. I think it was the type of pickles used that I didn't like. Fried green tomato tower which was pimento cheese, zesty aioli, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic reduction. I didn't like this selection either. The tomatoes were not ripe. They were too hard. The sauce was good. I like saucey but this was too saucey for me. Fried Shrimp & grits: fried shrimp, cheddar grits, smoked gouda cream, sunny side up egg. This was good. Creamy and just the right size lumps. Great flavor. If I ordered this again, i would prefer grilled shrimp. It reheated well at home. I ordered a shrimp and grits flatbread to go for someone. It looked very interesting and messy, but I was told that it was very delicious even after reheating. They have weekly specials. On Wednesdays they have a dinner for 2 special for $45. That's awesome! they have a murder mystery dinner! I can't wait to check it out! Overall even though I only liked 1 out of 3 dishes, I would definitely go back to try some other items. I'm looking forward to it.

I have also visited the Atlantic City location once before without incident. However, this recent visit did not meet the standards I have come to expect. My reservation was for 7:00 p.m., and I arrived a little early. I fully expected to wait until my reservation time; however, my party of six was seated immediately. Upon arriving at our table, I noticed food stains on the tablecloth. I understand that changing tablecloths after every guest can be cumbersome, but when white tablecloths have visible stains, they should be replaced. When our waitress arrived, it was difficult to overlook the constant gum chewing, along with her less-than-welcoming demeanor. She was not rude or disrespectful, but her approach felt very matter-of-fact and lacked the level of hospitality I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. My party was celebrating a birthday, and although we did not notify the restaurant in advance, we expected to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. Unfortunately, shortly after our appetizers were served, four of the six entrees arrived while the remaining two guests were left waiting for theirs. I do not recall being asked whether we wanted dessert, which would have been an ideal opportunity to mention the birthday celebration and request the birthday serenade. Instead, the check appeared while dishes were still on the table. The food was excellent, as always. However, the service and overall ambiance fell short during this visit and did not reflect the quality I have experienced at this restaurant in the past.
