I come to Delaware for my Steps Sonsr Football game@ Red Lion and love the Blueberry Waffles.. However the customer service is horrible along with Loving and Greeting Employees.. Customers literally wait 35 to 40 minutes to be seated when there are Tables Available and have not been Cleaned. This place cannot be involved in Mystery Shop Program.. Shut this place down or Train the Manager or whoever is running this place.. Horrible.. read more

We frequent the Waffle Houses in Delaware but most recent visited this location. The staff was really nice but I was a little disappointed in the food. My bacon was burnt to a crisp and hashbrowns overcooked as well. I'm not a complainer of restaurants so I let it go. Waffle and eggs were pretty good though. read more

This is the best Waffle House that I've ever experienced. The workers really work hard and they make sure that the customers are taken care of. The waitress Gigi really engages with the customers to make sure that they have the best experience. She is so awesome. Another worker by the name Kay is wonderful as well. I enjoy the eating experience every time that I come. Kudos to the manager and staff. The ambiance in this restaurant is clean and not too cold like some waffle houses. They get a 10/10 in my book and I'm extremely hard to please. They have a way of uplifting my day every time. read more

Waffle House is one of those guilty pleasures. They don't have many of them in NJ (if any) but when I am in another state I like to try it. This is comfort food that will get you full at a good price. The waffles are delicious especially with that incredibly artificial syrup ha. I love it. We visit Waffle House's throughout Florida with decent to above average results. The food/staff are above average compared to most quick-serve restaurants. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of visiting a Waffle House outside the MD line. I typically have a low bar for my cuisine......I don't expect much.......This Awful House was way below that bar. No hello when entering the restaurant-no big deal-but typically Waffle House employees greet their customers-not here. We are/were two white guys, so-I am certain it was our toxic white masculinity-which caused the employees to ignore us. (Thank the good Lord we left our MAGA hats, next to our shot-gun racks in our jacked-up 4x4 on 33")-we likely would have been thrown out or referred to as Hitler. While visiting this culinary delight, the "management team" was bizzy getting their groove on to gangsta funk at the table while discussing how much cheese to put on their burgers-all while table dancing-quite a scene man....... The g-funk was too loud -you could not hear throughout the restaurant. Against what I knew was going to be a bad experience, we ordered. The food came out, my sausage patties were cold inside and not cooked through. The plates were basically thrown at us by the "server". My buddies waffle arrived 10 minutes after my food was served-nice touch Awful House.....lower that bar. I asked the server to take the sausage back due to it being partially cooked-she asked if I would like it to be cooked more? Seriously, cooked more? Hola Salmonella----WTF How about cooked properly, all the way through to prevent a food-born illness. Again low bar but at least cook the friggin food. This Awful House is crap. No one cares. The management at this fine dining establishment is clueless and will remain that way as they have no consequences for their actions or lack there-of. The employees actions are resultant due to the lack of management and responsibility. The one thing this Awful House demonstrates well, is how crappy an established chain restaurant can become when incompetent management and staff operate the store. The service was excellent. I got there like at 10:30 PM. I got the team breakfast. It comes with a waffle, grits, cheese, eggs, and I got extra chicken sausage. It was hot from the time. I left the store until 3 AM and I ate it all night and in the morning at 10:00 AM. Everything was fresh it was cooked just the way I asked for it and yes, I will recommend this but if they get a five star from me, it was delicious And I haven't had waffle house since I worked in Dover and that's Ben eight years ago so it was refreshing for me to go back to Waffle House and it was just like I remember eight years ago the waffles was light fluffy and buttery and taste good everything was just excellent thank you waffle house keep up the good work I will be going back to the Waffle House on Pulaski Highway in three months to get the same order again. read more

It's Waffle House! The food is pretty much consistently good throughout the franchise. Good training. What separates them is service. I know they've just opened and good help is hard to get, but I think they did an admirable job when I was there despite how busy they were with eat in AND take out. Especially, my server, Jacqueline. I never leave reviews but this location is so bad that I must. After 3 attempts, I have completely given up on this location. I would give 0 stars if possible. First two times had awful issue's with the food meals being delivered almost 30 minutes apart thinking this is ok. Gave me attitude when we asked about it. The last straw... it is 4pm on a Tuesday my family walks to the door. One of the waitresses run to the door before we could open and locks it. She says sorry we are closed while the other two waitress laugh and walks away. Not sure who runs this place but major changes need to be made. read more

Then, this one was built near where I live, and opened early in `23. Good experiences brought me back repeatedly. I went to the new Waffle House in Newark De for breakfast 3/30/23. It is a new business in Delaware but they will not last long if they don't improve on taking orders, getting food to the customers and better cooks. I have been to Waffle Houses all over the South and this one has a lot to learn. The scattered potatoes were undercooked, the cook didn't know how to make a simple egg white, the scramble eggs were trouble and the grits were lumpy. On top of that they had a server behind the counter with no hair net around the food and she kept touching her hair. The cooks staff was confused the whole time I was there. Some customers walked out because they were so slow. They need more training. read more
