Love a BYOB pizza joint. Do wish they did single slices though. It's a kind of small place, but the pizza was very fresh. We started with a Caesar salad, which was pretty standard. Nothing special about it. The pizza was crispy but a little oilier than I'd have liked. Overall, I'd probably come back on a Tuesday since they have deals on the pizzas.

Craft Pizza a pizzeria in the Wicker Park neighborhood. The offering artisan and specialty style pizzas and appetizers as well. All of the pizzas are very customizable and they feature a wide range of toppings qnd other items like sauces. They have a great patio setup to enjoy on the nice weather days of Chicago. You can also BYOB and they offer great service definitely a great place to get dinner.

A little pricey for a BYOB spot but the pizza is tasty and the portions are large. You choose between a 14 inch or an 18 inch pizza and they allow you to build your own as well. Only a few other items on the menu like cheesy bread and salad - they do have some outdoor seating on Damen and a variety of board games available too!

Pizza is still excellent but I would not use the slice app for online ordering. It is a disaster. They send you a link and make you download the app in order to monitor the progress of your online order. However, it seems that you can't actually do that unless you initiate the order through the app. And once you sign up you get spammed. Whatever. Just don't use the app or probably their online ordering and you will be fine. Do you really need a special app for ordering on line pizza anyway. Well no, you do not.

Burnt crust. Totally black on the bottom.

Unfortunately, the last time we ordered Craft Pizza, it was just not good. Such a disappointment because we ordered from there a month ago and it was amazing. I actually thought I finally found my new favorite pizza spot. But this last time was disgusting. Horrible crust, nasty sweet sauce and gross cheese. Everything was bad about this pizza. And it was totally burnt. Where is the quality control? How could it be totally different than before? So sad.

Glad I finally tried this place! Passed by in a million times and always wanted to give it a go. Might be my favorite pizza in the neighborhood! Friendly staff and a cute outdoor patio if you choose to eat there. This will be a go to in my rotation for pizza night!

Bad Service and Rude Owner . Not worth eating here ... Plenty of better places in neighborhood . Pizza is sub par

I chose Craft Pizza because the ratings were fairly high and it looked like they had some craft. Maybe even some pizazz -- as they had chickpeas and cranberries in their organic salad. We ordered a 3 item pizza and salad for delivery. It was bad, like so bad we regretted eating it. Here's why: 1. There was no discernible sauce. None. This was a regular pizza with 3 ingredients and there was no flavor of sauce at all. Sauce is very important to the flavor of pizza. This pizza had no flavor except.... 2. Olives were one of the toppings. But these olives were so salty that the only flavor on the whole pizza was salt. It was salt pizza. Note: I always get olives--I'm not sure if these olives were different or what. But they made the whole pizza inedible. 3. The outer crust of the pizza was fine. The whole center crust was as thin and soggy as a Kleenex. Yuck. Mortal pizza sin. Read no further. 4. The cheese was flavorless. 5. We happen to get mushrooms. There were so few mushrooms on the pizza, that it didn't seem like a mushroom pizza. It probably averaged out to 2 slivers of mushroom per slice and no actual taste of mushroom. These were just plain mushrooms, nothing fancy. Have mushrooms gotten expensive or something? One of the diners noted: "I never noticed a mushroom. I ate two slices. That's a total surprise to me that there were mushrooms on this pizza. I barely tasted an artichoke either." 6. There was nothing positive about this pizza at all. It was just bad and disappointing. Outer crust was ok.... It also took more than an hour which was a lot longer than it predicted. (But that probably wasn't Craft Pizza's fault.) Salad was ok. We threw this pizza away. Try another place...

This is one of the best New York slices in city! They are always fast and nice at this location. Can't go wrong with any pizza and I've almost tried them all! They also sell slices during happy hour times which is nice. Great delivery also and they always get the order right! Grateful to have this great option in area!

I love Craft Pizza! Best NY style pizza in the neighborhood, possibly the city. They have a great special on Tuesdays, any medium house pizza for $10 or large for $15. They do slices at select times. I've tried their white and red pizzas and they're both good! I've only done takeout but they do have seating inside and outside. Limited street parking in the area.

Craft makes some fantastic pizza and is a community staple in the Wicker Park area. It's nothing crazy or gimmicky that makes it good - no secret or unusual toppings, no square cut, no deep dish - just the perfect amount of fresh ingredients cooked the right way with attention to detail. Crust is foldable but still has a nice crunchy snap to it. Cheese & sauce are both solid. White and red pies are both good. The Devil in the White City is great as a white pie and red I usually opt for the regular margarita with pepperoni. They have always been consistent in the fact that I've had the same pie multiple times and it's always been perfectly done. Make sure to stop in or call ahead on a Wednesday to get their special $10 for a large pie!

Finally tried Craft. I live nearby, so I placed a home order and walked. Their DoorDash was turned off for some reason. They let me do half and half which was nice (but you can't mix red/white sauces). We went with Bacon Bianca and Devil in the White City. I enjoyed both. My husband wasn't a fan because the crust is super then and there's an equal layer of cheese, if not thicker, so he said it was too cheesy. The toppings weren't exactly evenly dispersed but I know they were busy. We also tried the garlic bread. It was alright. If I came back I would prob give the red pizza a try.

Great local artisan pizza place! Get "the devil in the white city". Highly recommend going on Tuesday for the $12 pizza deals, my husband and I would BYOB a bottle of wine and sit on the patio in the summer, and normally I'm not a sit down pizza date kinda gal. Great ambiance, also family friend - Locally owned, nothing fancy. Service is always good, owner is super friendly. If you do go on Tuesday go early because they fill up fast. Much prefer their dine in over take out (I've gotten takeout a little well done in the past.)

Normally I hate those kinds of large group dinners, but this was the perfect spot for it. The service was absolutely wonderful. If you have seen any of my other reviews, I always get a meatball when I'm at a place that has them. They almost never live up to my expectation. But this place has the new gold standard for a meatball. It was everything you want. It is fork tender, full of flavor, no chewy ground up bits. The pizzas were authentic and thin. It's one of those places that you find yourself talking about long after the meal is over. The garlic bread alone is worth the visit. They pour what feels like a gallon of garlic butter over it, and somehow it's still never enough. It's rich, indulgent, and absolutely delicious. We order it every single time and would probably be disappointed if we didn't. The real star of the show, though, is the lasagna. Between the two of us, we've had lasagna at countless restaurants, and nothing has come close to this one. It's hands down the best lasagna we've ever had. Perfect layers, incredible flavor, and the kind of comfort food that makes you want to savor every bite. Their Grey Goose espresso martini is also unmatched. We've tried espresso martinis all over Chicago, and this one is still our favorite. It's smooth, perfectly balanced, and the ideal way to start or end the meal. The atmosphere is another reason we love coming here. The restaurant is gorgeous inside, with a dark, moody vibe that makes it feel special without being stuffy. It's the perfect date night spot whether you're celebrating something or just looking for a great night out together. If you're visiting Chicago and love Italian food, Il Porcellino is a must. Great food, amazing drinks, beautiful ambiance, and a meal you'll be thinking about long after you've left. We make a point to visit every time we're in town, and it never disappoints.

For appetizers, we ordered the While Garlic Loaf Focaccia and the Stuffed mushrooms. I wished I took a video when the focaccia arrived. The waiter, holding a plate with a round and fluffy focaccia and proceeded to pour the garlic et al on top of the bread! Very freshly-made and fabulous! The stuffed mushrooms were also cute delicious! This is a rare time where the stuffing had spinach below the stuffing - excellent! I remember seeing (and enjoying) this while I visited Italy. Delightful! The main courses we ordered were the Gnocchi Bolognese, the Baked Burrata Lasagna and the Barolo Braised Short Rib. The Gnocchi meat sauce was the standout here, being very flavorful, but not as heavy as some other restaurants. The Gnocchi were dense - not fluffy as I had expected. But the sauce flavor was vivid. The Baked Burrata Lasagna was oh, so perfect! Many layers of al dente pasta separates with a tasty meat sauce. Many times I have had lasagna that was either over-baked, or had limp pasta. Here, the lasagna shined! So large of a serving that my wife could not finish it, much to her dismay . . . I had the Barolo Braised Short Rib - oh my living god! - so tender, so complete a dish, with the fork tender meat that melts in your mouth, complimented by a light polenta (I must emphasize the lightness here, as many restaurants serve polenta that is heavy and too rich. This did not compete with the short rib, rather it seamlessly became the foundation on which the richness of the meat was enhanced. I was blown away! But, the most amazing, and probably the most delectable part of the evening was finishing off with a luscious Chocolate Cake! OH, WOW!!! The cake was certainly moist and smooth. Yes, smooth! I could not tell there was cake at all, so smooth it was! And surprisingly (not surprising given the quality of this establishment) it wasn't too sweet, rather just enough to bring out the chocolatey goodness! I only wished that I ordered some hot coffee - the cake would have gone well with a great cup of coffee! Overall, I was very impressed with this restaurant! The old-town decor, the dim lights, the fantastic food (just like of the Italy of old!)- all contributing to a wonderful experience! Highly recommended!

Yesterday I decided to pop on their website again and was delighted to find that they had released same day dinner reservations for patio only dining. The weather was perfect for outdoor dining so I went ahead and booked a table for Friday night. I felt like I won the dinner lottery. Service was wonderful and I didn't mind sitting outside at all next to the road with cars. I actually never stepped foot in the restaurant so cannot comment on what it's like inside. But do not give up that patio dining reservation if it's available. All of our dishes were delicious. I was really impressed by the meatball appetizers, chicken vesuvio (the potatoes are a must get as a side if you skip this dish), and branzino. The meats and sauces were wonderfully balanced and tender. Nothing tasted overly salted. Ironically, the pasta felt less of a star compared to the other dishes.
