Got delivery from here on a Friday night, through Uber Eats. I got the 18" buffalo chicken pizza, a side of boneless bbq wings, and a 14" bacon pizza. They were both labeled as thin crust but were tavern style. Which isn't the same. The pizzas were virtually flavorless, almost no sauce and the crust tasted like one of those premade ones you get from the grocery store in plastic sealed wrap. Not sure it was for me, the buffalo chicken pizza comes with white onions on it, the only part that sparked flavor. The boneless bbq wings, which were free on Uber Eats due to paying $30. The were very wet, sticky, mostly okay. Definitely freezer to fryer style. I ordered a side of blue cheese which was very off, watery. Weird. Overall might be better if it wasn't delivered but I doubt it. read more

Stopped in for a bit of a late lunch around 2pm on a weekday. Hopped off the blue line and decided to escape the rain for a few for some food. They had slices of cheese, pepperoni and sausage available. Usually there is a specialty slice but didn't see anything about it. Got a pepperoni slice and a sprite. The pizza was fresh, crispy thin crust and not very oily. Was delicious! They have the standard Parmesan and red pepper flakes on the table, which is nice. The menu does seem more extensive and I was intrigued by the buffalo chicken pizza and wings so I'll def be back. The place has like 6 tables and the decor is pretty interesting too. I'm pretty floored by some of these negative reviews - I thought Pie-Eyed was awesome! It's in my River West neighborhood and I finally got to try it recently. We got the Summertime Chi Pie and loved it! We also went for a thin crust and that didn't disappoint either. The crust was super crunchy which I love and the flavors were great. It's not bad but it's just a slightly nicer dominos meatzza with red peppers (which cost around 12-14 bucks). I think they are around 30-40% overpriced. Recently did a pizza by the slice tour in my neighborhood of West Town and Pie Eyed Pizza was a cool though unplanned discovery. I was driving by towards another pizza slice place and happened to see the sign for Pizza slice. The pizza here was decent. Nice and crispy crust, which is my style of tavern pizza. Good stuff, although they didn't have enough sauce in the pizza. I think if they had had more sauce, this would've been a really good pizza. No other complaints. I'd give it 3.5 if I had that option. Price-wise at $5.75 or so for the slice, the pricing was just in-line with nearby pizza joints. I'm willing to give this place another shot in case the less sauce thing was a one-time miss. This is how I imagine pizza would taste like if I successfully made it at home. There was a lot of tomato sauce and it moved the cheese around. I didn't like the crust so glad there wasn't much of it. But I felt that it could have been more crispier. The pepperonis was the only thing making it tasty. This is an 18" pizza so there was definitely enough. The price was average after a discount. Then again, I am a fan of Domino's and their garlic crust so maybe I'm not the best person to ask for pizza advice. read more

I totally agree with another yelper in here that the Pizza tastes like Chuck E Cheese pizza. The crust tastes like day old flatbread. The sauce tastes as generic as Chef Boyardee. The only thing that was edible was the cheese and pepperoni. Plus, they say they're open at 11am, but they'll shoo you away bc they say they're not actually ready to open until 11:10am. I was having a day and I realized how close I was to the spot and was excited to try a slice. The inside was shut down due to covid. I called in my order- they grabbed the slices and heated them out then brought them out. Took my first bit, just not impressed. Even though thin, it was dry. It lacked a little flavor so added crushed red. Then went for the ranch which was not fresh and definitely came pre-made. It had a strong soybean oil taste and unappetizing. Overall, did not enjoy and probably wont be back. 2 slices came out to $12. Gave it 2 stars bc I am hoping they are not doing their A game bc of Covid and they really are a much better slice. If it's late, you are coming off the L to walk somewhere else nearby, and you have $5-$6 in your pocket and you're looking for slightly-above-average pie, PEP is great. I came in for lunch one day and had a slice/fries/drink combo for $8, and it was fine. Lots of fries, so good value proposition...love the local brand soda that was on tap here. The single slice of pie was enough for me, and while it didn't make me think I was eating the magic that is the original Dante's Pizzeria, I was in the neighborhood of PEP and hungry and wanted to stay on the cheap. This place does so many things right it's hard to decide where to start. The za is tasty, the staff is cool and the convenience is unparalleled. I typically try to hit this place at least once a week and have yet to be anything less than happy with my choice. The counter service slices are huge and accessible at the latest of hours. I really love this place for the tasty pizza slices. I don't like my pizza reheated and sometimes the pizza sits too long and they want to reheat it. Not good! I love that pizza fresh out the oven is the best. The dough is crispy and thin. The sauce is perfect a little on the sweet side just how I love and the cheese is perfect. They must use quality ingredients because you can taste it. There is seating available so if you want to eat in. My beau, best friend, and I found this place online as something to do in Chicago, so we ventured out. We were expecting something totally different, since this spot advertised a certain kind of brunch. When we got there, there was just one patron enjoying a slice, the cashier, and the cook. We could've easily turned around, but we decided to stay instead. We ordered the chicken Parmesan with fries, mile high calzone, and vegan pizza respectively. I also ordered the mushrooms as an appetizer. Everything was cooked to order for us, so there was a little wait. The mushrooms, portobellos to be exact, were piping hot and really tasty. The calzone was good. The bread for the chicken Parmesan was toasty just shy of burnt, minus that, the sandwich had good flavor and the shoestring fries that accompanied it were fried crisp, just how we like them. The vegan pizza was delicious. It was on a thin crust that had been toasted well enough that it had a little snap when you bit into it. We almost didn't get a chance to partake in this local spot, as there's some kind of construction happening in front of it, so the place isn't immediately seen. But, if you see the #66 Chicago bus stop, then you've found it and hopefully will give it a try. We did, and wound up having a good, local lunch. read more
