Highly recommend the Craft dinner cruise for a special occasion or date night out. They have the seating assigned before your arrival as well as a special signed card for your arrival. The service was wonderful and food was excellent!!! I have been on other cruises where the food was just so/so as you were really paying for the cruise. Hands down, it caught me by surprise how good the food was along with great boat cruise too. Once they take your order they encourage the guest to get up and enjoy the view. Being a smaller boat, it was great as you never felt it was overcrowded. They have an open pay lot available for parking at the slip, but was around $40 per car the evening we went due to an event. We booked the June afternoon tea for my birthday and the overall experience was "ok". I have seen other reviews where people get special extras for celebrating their birthdays/anniversaries and other reviews where they weren't acknowledged - mine was in the unacknowledged category. It was noted on the reservation, so my opinion is Craft Tampa should be consistent in this: either acknowledge all special occasions, or don't, but not to pick and choose. I have been to many afternoon teas and this fell short in the way the tea service and trays were delivered. The tea was not brewed, nor did you get your own pot, but received your own tea bag of choice with a teapot of hot water to share. This is in itself not terrible, but the hot water was not kept warm with a warmer nor were we offered a fresh pot. The tray did not have an even amount of sandwiches/scones to share which I have never encountered. I did speak to the manager about it and we were offered more sandwiches, and that they would work on this for future events - kudos to them for that. The inside dining area was crazy loud and not at all a relaxing vibe for tea - but that's not the fault of Craft Tampa. Just something to consider if you are wondering in which area to dine. We had 10 minutes till boarding closes and my friend had to go back to get her sunglasses. They allowed her to get her sunglasses and that they would wait for her. Enjoyed this infinitely more than my previous dinner cruises aboard The StarShip The ship itself is small, but this allows for a much more intimate setting than The StarShip which always is packed full of people doing corporate outings, Frat/Sorority meetups, etc. The crowd on board seemed to be mostly couples on dates or families celebrating. The energy was great! The ambiance here is also great. I remember having to pay extra for a tablecloth on StarShip but here all the tables had beautiful marble designs and a nice little lamp. The food was amazing, we had the Salmon Deviled Eggs as an appetizer, my date had the Chef's recommended Hanger Steak and I had the Chef's recommended catch of the day which was Red Snapper. For dessert we did the cheesecake. Everything was great, whereas again on the StarShip I found the food to be very mediocre and bland. Service the entire night was super friendly and attentive. We both started with the grilled romaine salad, which was a flavorful and unexpected twist on a classic. For our entrées, we ordered the 24-hour brined bone-in pork chop and the coffee-crusted filet mignon. Both were cooked to perfection and thoughtfully plated. I've seen this dinner cruise go by the river walk so many times and we finally got to try it last Saturday night. We sat outside and thankfully the boat wasn't very full, but I think it was due to the weather being on the chillier side, but it was nice that it was a little bit more secluded. The boat is really nice and you get such great views of Tampa Bay. It's about a two hour boat ride and it's a great night for a group of friends are a romantic date. The service was really good and the food was good as well although I would say that this is a pretty expensive activity. It definitely seems like more of a do it once and then not again. Although we did say that we wanted to do the brunch service one day. One thing to definitely mention is that the desserts are amazing. Over the weekend I got to check out the Craft Tampa for brunch and overall I had a pleasant experience. We were celebrating my mom's birthday and they definitely went above and beyond to make sure it was memorable (they brought her 2 desserts instead of 1). The service was rather off because all of the other tables around us had started dining and we hadn't and even to bring our champagne and juices this was extremely prolonged. The waitress was nice but seemed bothered at times and it seemed like she was having issues at some tables or other employees as we overheard some bickering near the kitchen. The food was all amazing and I really can't wait to go back and try a dinner cruise! I would also opt to sit outside next time because the interior although having AC was on the warmer side. The outdoor dining also seemed more lively and fun since this is where the main bar is located. For food I enjoyed the eggs Benedict and the creme brûlée cheesecake - I highly recommend both of these dishes if checking out the brunch sailing. Craft was such a unique experience! We wanted to do something for a friends 30th birthday, so we booked brunch aboard craft! We saw them floating down the river one day when we were at the Riverwalk and figured it'd be something great to try. This is basically a floating bar and restaurant, their brunch and dinner excursions go down through the bay/river for about two hours and come back to Port. You get on board the ship right near the cruise ship boarding and the yacht starship boarding. It's a long slim vessel that's low off the water so they can go under all of the bridges. Our server Grace was amazing! The ticket includes your choice of entrée and dessert. I opted for the burger and cheesecake. Both were phenomenal. You do have to pay extra for your cocktails and appetizers or any other add-ons. So we did have a few drinks which tasted amazing and we also had the charcuterie board to start off, which was excellently crafted. Overall, the journey was so peaceful and relaxing to float down the river. Enjoy some cocktails and food and come right back to where we started. As you disembark, they offer you a nice fresh cannoli for the road. I would love to join the craft again for another brunch or dinner excursion! read more

What an amazing experience! From booking to leaving the ship, it was an amazing process. The website is super easy to use and straightforward on what to expect. Upon arrival entrances are clearly marked and boarding is very smooth. We arrived about an hour early and immediately walked onto the boat when they opened the entrance about 45 minutes prior. Parking is paid, but it's pretty inexpensive. Once you are seated, you have a server for the night who was very attentive and super kind. Immediately, we were asked what drinks we would like and had them before the boat started moving. We were also able to order everything as soon as we would like. Every dish, drink, and appetizer were so appealing visually and taste was even better. My personal favorites were the deviled eggs as they had a twist that made them pretty special! The ambiance and views were even better than the food, if that is possible. As it was a super cold night the boat was comfortable inside and a smooth sail. We did a brunch sailing on a holiday and it was raining. I was quite concerned that a tropical storm was going to hit this day so I had contacted the company a about 5 days prior to ask about refunds and cancellations. I was told under no circumstances do they give refunds or rescheduling and that they said rain or shine. I found this information to be extremely misleading given that I paid for the tickets and online I paid for sailing insurance which would allow me to get a refund or reschedule. I was never asked if I had the insurance I was just told a flat out no. Given that brunch tickets are about 200$ for 2 I would think this situation would have been handled better. If there is a tropical storm or hurricane projected to hit the area it needs to be taken more serious. So as a result, I did come to my sailing, but I was extremely stressed and upset about the weather as it was raining the morning we sailed. Sailing experience: This sailing was a vast step up from Starship Yacht. It is more luxurious, it's smaller, it's more intimate and they sail further down the Hillsborough River by far. The trip down the river was the best because I have never gone down that far (down Riverwalk) on Starship. Our waitress was very nice and friendly as was the rest of the crew. It was our anniversary and we were greeted with a nice "Happy Anniversary " card at our table. So, you pay for your tickets in advance and I was under the impression that included everything except cocktails. This includes your main entrée and a desert. The starter is extra. They did not have enough gluten-free options in my opinion. For the starter they had oysters and a lump crab cake. The lump crab cake was gluten-free and it was about 27$. It was enough for 2 and it was delicious. It easily is in the top 5 best crab cakes I have ever had. As for the entrée they could make the burger and the egg dish gluten-free, but it was steak (red meat) and not something I wanted for breakfast/brunch. The other option was French Toast or something that obviously could not be made gluten-free so I had the salad with grilled chicken. This is why they are getting 3 stars and not 4 or 5. If I pay 200$ + dollars for brunch I need better lunch and brunch options than that. This salad arrived almost deconstructed, eggs over cooked, unseasoned chicken and it had no cheese and no tomatoes. As a salad it made no sense. I could have made a better salad at home whereas my husband enjoyed his entrée which was the steak and potatoes. I ended up picking over it and bringing it home and throwing it out. The Buttermilk Ranch dressing was delicious though. I think the salad would have been better if it were more cohesive. The cocktails on the sailing were made well and theybwere 5/5 and I really enjoyed the sorbet at the end which was gluten-free. My husband enjoyed his dessert. The only place they fell flat was with the entrée and obviously telling me I could not get a refund despite the fact that I had cruising insurance which I paid for with my tickets. It says clearly to add the insurance incase of cancelation and rescheduling. I would recommend Craft for dinner more over brunch because the menu is so small. They did a great job accommodating my having Celiacs, nothing I ate made me sick. If you sail during a holiday or event you will have to pay event parking. We had to pay 50$ to park so add that to the 200$ for brunch, 27$ crab cake, 2 cocktails, sailing insurance 8.00$ and 50$ parking it starts ADDING UP. So, yes, I need to have a better gluten-free option that doesn't contain beef than a deconstructed farmers salad. read more

Let me start with the negatives - Wish the parking at channelside garage was complimentary for the price you pay for the cruise. The boarding process was lacking. It is Florida summer, hot, humid and the sun setting on top of you. It would be great if they added some permanent type of shade structure so those waiting in line, nicely dressed, don't start the sailing out by being drenched in sweat. The male checking us in and looking through purses seemed angry and maybe not so happy to be welcoming us aboard. NOW for the positives - Once on board - the vessel is super cute. Everyone was very friendly and excited. We went on the 4th of July and enjoyed the boat parade and then saw fireworks . When making reservations, you will either choose indoor dining or outdoor dining. The bisque was a generous portion compared to the salad option. You can also order add on like the charcuterie board or oysters. The price is inclusive of prixe fixe menu and for the cruise itself. There is one main dining room and a smaller private room towards the back of the boat. While waiting for your food, you can go to the front deck outside. The one and only issue I had with the Craft experience was the entrance. It shared an entrance with Pirate Taxi and Starship and there is no discernible direction on where a line starts and ends or if you're even in the right line at all. They really need to improve that system and so dozens of people aren't standing around asking themselves if there where they need to be, which was exactly what happened during our visit. But that's where the negatives end. Once we crossed the ticket check-in, the staff was attentive, courteous, and very welcoming. The boat itself was a bit smaller than I expected, but everything was very well setup and distributed. We were comfortable throughout the two hour trip. Our server was so great. Friendly and lively and informative. Possibly the most well-informed server we've had in years anywhere. Service was fast for all courses. The food? Glad you asked... everything from the crab cake and lobster quiche starters, to the steak and branzino entrees and the bread pudding and crème brûlée cheesecake desserts, were absolutely delightful! Ingredients were fresh, everything was perfectly cooked, and the flavors phenomenal. The cocktails were also a pleasant surprise. The wife had a grapefruit based cocktail and I had their old fashioned (which they call something different). Both were very good! Overall, we had a wonderful anniversary at Craft Tampa. Very disappointing experience with Craft Tampa. I live 1 hour and 30 minutes away and made the effort to call ahead to let them know I would only be about 9 minutes late. Instead of showing any understanding or trying to help accommodate the situation, there was basically no effort made to work with us or offer a reasonable solution. What made it even worse was that this was for my wife's birthday, so the experience ended up turning a special occasion into a stressful and frustrating one. Customer service and flexibility go a long way, especially when someone communicates in advance and is only a few minutes behind. Unfortunately, based on how this was handled, I wouldn't recommend the experience. read more

We decided to try Craft for my husband's birthday. It was so impressive! The boat was clean and the ride was calm and relaxing. The service and food were Amazing! Highly recommend. We dined outside and were so glad we did. It was a beautiful breezy evening. We had the charcuterie, filet, scallops and ragu pasta. All were delicious and creative. For dessert the coconut sorbet and chocolate mousse. Everything was delicious! read more
