This is my new favorite restaurant in Tampa. I have tried almost everything on the menu, and everything has been outstanding. The drink menu is vast and the bartenders are delightful. I've brought my parents here while they visited from New Orleans. They are pretty serious about good food coming from a city like NOLA, but they now ask to return to Bosc whenever they're in town. Such a great find! Bosc has only been open about six months and we loved it! The space is really cool with a full bar and sushi counter, and the service was great. We tried a little of everything -- sushi, the Bosc Burger, wood-fired filet and buttermilk fried chicken. Everything was delicious! The filet was cooked perfectly, the burger was a hit and the fried chicken was as good as the presentation! We also had the broccolini and some great cocktails. Bosc shares the space with Parker Street Bakery + Coffee, which is such a fun concept. They're also starting lunch next week! Our son lives nearby, so we will definitely be back. Great place to grab dinner. As others have noted, their parking lot is quite small, however, when we came at 7:15 on a Thursday, there were plenty of spots available. You can eat either indoors or they have a patio that is air-conditioned, we still opted to sit indoors to avoid potential mosquitoes. The decor is bright and modern. Our server was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and gave us the whole spiel about what makes their cocktails great. And spoiler alert, their cocktails are absolutely fantastic. I got their version of a margarita which was very good, my friend who got their version of a dirty martini let me taste it and it was on the spicy side so I'm glad I skipped it. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. The one dish I wouldn't get again is their fried chicken. It was huge and heavily fried. Their collard greens have pork in them and I don't eat pork and the mashed potato tasted very buttery. It was delicious but extremely heavy. We also tried the whipped feta, which was pretty good, but not my favorite, the zucchini fries were lightly fried and delicious. Their Cacio E Pepe was very good and I enjoyed it. We also tried a couple sushi rolls. All their sushi rolls were delicious, I highly recommend eating sushi if you are here. We also tried a margarita pizza and the crust is super super super thin. It was amazing and I would absolutely get that again. For dessert, we tried the crème brûlée and the chocolate cake. I preferred the chocolate cake, but the crème brûlée custard was very good too. I think the sugar topping could have been caramelized a little bit more, it still tasted a little grainy, but that's a small nitpick. Yum! We had a great time having a celebration dinner here last night. Our waiter, Nicholas, was very attentive throughout the whole meal, offering great suggestions for drinks, apps and entrees. The tuna crispy rice was a great starter, then we ordered a few different entrees. Between the burger, braised short rib, and King-Si sashimi salad, we were not disappointed. The sushi counter and the regular kitchen are different so our meals came out at much different times but we didn't mind because we had no where to be. I'm glad I got to try Bosc after it was recommended by a friend. When we arrived, there was about a 1 hour wait, so we were lucky to find seats at the bar. We ordered a few drinks, which were very good, along with the crispy tuna and the buttermilk fried chicken. The crispy tuna was delicious, and the fried chicken was tasty as well. My only complaint was that the chicken had a bit too much breading at times, making it feel like there was more breading than chicken. The atmosphere feels like classic Tampa, with a great location near downtown and Hyde Park. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Since the restaurant recently opened, you can tell the team is still settling into their rhythm, but overall it was a great experience. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. read more

The restaurant offers a great variety of dishes, and I like how some of the cocktail names are inspired by Tampa landmarks and neighborhoods. It gives the place a nice local charm. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken is huge and definitely large enough to share. It was tasty, and I enjoyed the hot honey, although it did have quite a bit of breading. We sat at the bar, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis because the restaurant was very busy. I recommend making a reservation if possible. Tried Bosc today with my coworkers after work for a happy hour and it was super cute and had great variety on the happy hour menu. Had a pear cider, a Hugo spritz and tried some do the offerings on and off the happy hour menu. The zucchini fries were good but the green goddess dipping sauce was delicious. The fried green tomatoes were good too but the spicy tuna crispy rice was the best by far. I would definitely get that again. Our waitress was really good and she had great recommendations and was patient as other guests arrived at different times in our group. We dined in and had a very nice time. I really liked the way they renovated rhe restaurant and I felt it looked very modern and chic. They have a large outdoor area as well as seating at tables, at the bar, and at the sushi bar. This restaurant has many things to offer when it comes to food because they have cold and hot tastings. They have salads. They have pizza and pasta and they have a sushi bar. They also have the typical entrees that most restaurants will have such as steak with a side of some sort. I felt like the staff at BOSC was exceptional. While my visit was not great because they had a limited amount of gluten-free menu items outside of red meat, the staff (our waitress and the manager) were very helpful, friendly and empathetic towards the lack of gluten-free options for someone who has Celiac Disease. They did offer to make a steak or the short rib, but I don't really eat a lot of red meat. I did ask for the fish of the day whixh was on the menu, but I was told there was no fish of the day. So, for the positives, I really liked the grilled Gulf oysters. I thought the oysters were great, they just need to fine tune the expediting because I ordered multiple plates and all were made differently. I think the price point for the oysters was fair and I would entirely return for the oysters alone. Next, their cocktails are fantastic. They have some great craft cocktails and even if you are picky you should be able to find one you really like. My husband has no diabetes restrictions. He loved the pizza and they have a few pizza options. He also had a salad which he liked. So, in conclusion, although there were not a lot of options for me, I found that the things I did have were great. I think this place is pretty cool and I think it would be great for happy hour or brunch or date night etc. The manager was very helpful as assured me they will try to get some more items on the menu that are gluten-free because when I went I was told the oysters, steak, short rib and kale salad was gluten-free and nigiri and sashimi plain. They did have gluten-free pasta, but couldn't guarantee it wouldnt be cross contaminated by the regular pasta. So, if you have Celiac Disease just make sure to tell your server.Anyhow, it's a good restaurant and I would recommend it! Try the grilled oysters! read more

Loved Bosc when we tried it this weekend! There is limited parking so be aware of that when you arrive. When we came it there was a long wait but thankfully they have a huge bar! So we sat there. This is going to be our new go to spot! Not only were we able to get a reservation same day, but the prices were extremely fair which really stands out with all of the high end, expensive places opening in Tampa. The Tuna Crispy Rice, Gouda Flatbread, and Chicken Salad were all 10//10. I will be thinking about these often! My husbands Fried Chicken platter was also good, I am just not a fried chicken person. They sent out two extra pieces for him because they were a little more on the crispy side- something we would have never noticed but shows their dedication and attention to detail. Came here for a Sunday brunch. We made a reservation a day prior. They have a nice indoor/outdoor dining option, super pleasant to eat in a shade and still experience some wind and some fans. Service was super attentive and friendly. They came checked on us and were really helpful. They menu is pretty extensive and have regular brunch options as well as some sushi options. We had truffle fries, Bosc salad, sushi rolls-California and spicy salmon, and spicy tuna crispy rice appetizer. We also had 2 mocktails. Amazing service, amazing food, amazing vibes all around. Stopped in for dinner, left happy and full. Everything we tasted was packed full of flavor, presented well and most importantly served at the proper temperatures. I tried the hamachi crudo and whipped feta as starters and finished with the pasta Bolognese. Also tried the special of the night, 'Fish and Chips'. The feta gave me a different flavor profile with each bite as there was so much going on. The pita was piping hot and complemented the cooler feta perfectly. The hamachi was perfect, tons of complementary flavors on the plate, no soy sauce needed at all. The pasta was fresh, cooked to perfection with plenty of 'bite' to it. Plenty of flavor and meat in the sauce, I wish I would have asked for red pepper to kick it up a bit. The special fish and chips consisted of lightly battered and fried red snapper and house made kettle chips. Fish was delicious and the chips were nice and thin with a perfect crisp. Overall this was the best dining experience I've had in my five trips to Florida over the years. Stephanie was the greatest server, very attentive, friendly and engaging. Last minute decision to try Bosc and I'm so glad we did. The outdoor seating is such a vibe, super nice but still relaxed. I love that you can come here dressed up or keep it casual and still feel totally comfortable. They even have TVs by the bar, which makes it feel fun and not too formal. The drinks were great, we had a couple margaritas, and they were perfect. We mostly stuck to appetizers and everything was honestly so good. 10/10! Where do I begin? Parking: Bosc has limited parking in their own lot which made it very convenient to make it on time for our reservation. There is also paid street parking in front if needed. Food: We had a few different appetizers that we shared. They are known for their sushi which was amazing. The flatbread and the truffle fries were the hit of the night for us. They have certainly taken their time in crafting great flavor profiles for their dishes. The pasta was also incredibly delicious. The didn't have a dessert menus but offered two options. We opted on the crème brûlée which was amazing. The drinks were also really good and reasonably priced. Service: Our server was very professional, knew the menu, made great recommendations and was super friendly. He was attentive and made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. Nino, the manager, was so welcoming and friendly. He takes pride in this space and it truly shows. Shoutout to him for making us feel welcomed and catered to. Finally tried out this new spot in Tampa for Friday date night. Absolutely loved this place - upbeat atmosphere, extremely friendly service and unique menu. Had to try the Bayshore Buzz cocktail and WOW I loved the mix of gin, ginger liqueur, and lemongrass (esp with the candi d ginger on top). LOVED the tuna crispy rice appetizer. The place was very nicely decorated and clean, even the bathrooms! The drinks were a little too strong for my liking, but that's just a personal preference. The food was okay. This spot is the best meal I've had in Florida. The service was amazing with everyone looking happy to be a part of this new restaurant as it builds their place in the community. We walked here from the Tampa convention center in under 10 minutes and is a much better option than the immediate surrounding restaurants in the area The food was top notch with flavors combinations that were to die for. The hamachi crudo was sooo fresh and delicious with a decent portion size to share. The whipped feta was sooo fresh good I almost licked the plate. The bolognese had perfectly cooked pasta and was sauced with just the right amount to enjoy with each bite and not feel like anything was drowned out. I was so impressed that we came back the next day for their happy hour already. It's a pretty lively spot and can be a little louder from the crowd inside, but the vibe is fun and good music stays in the background. I was quickly greeted at the door and as I was there solo, they let me know the social hour was at the bar which happened to be exactly why I was there! I sat down and was greeted by Braden. He made me a wonderful spicy margarita that was on the social menu. Perfection! I also took a look at the social menu and decided on a shrimp roll and yes that was incredible and I was surprised because the size was impressive for a social hour sushi roll, they are typically watered down but this was a plump shrimp and avocado roll with some saucy sauce inside the roll! I stopped over by the bakery and met Mark who was more than happy to tell me about all of the fresh pastries that were made daily - early in the morning and he said that they were happy to warm them up if I would like. We ended up at Bosc for my friend's birthday after another restaurant completely dropped the ball and didn't honor her reservation. The restaurant itself is super cute and aesthetic with a really nice atmosphere, which made the night feel special even after our original plans fell through. Even though it was close to closing, Chris and the rest of the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive to our table the entire time. You could tell they genuinely cared about making sure we still had a good birthday dinner experience. Food wise, My cousin and I got the Bosc burger and my friend got the Zucchini Fries and it was just okay not bad, but probably not something we'd specifically come back for. The rest of the table felt pretty similarly about their meals. But the service absolutely stood out and really saved the night for us.
