I didn't take a picture before mixing all the goodness in because I was so excited to try it. I left to San Diego for college three years ago and was dreading coming back to the valley because of the limited milk tea options, so I'm stoked this place opened while I was gone. We were greeted warmly as we entered. We ordered 2 halo halos without mung beans. The halo halos were delicious and so refreshing! The ube and the jellys were so good. The ambiance was modern and relaxing. Next time we visit, we will definitely take our time and enjoy the place. It is such a hip spot. They are located in a plaza with limited parking spots but there is a plaza around the corner that has plenty of parking. Wish to come back soon to try their other drinks and desserts. Generally there are different mixed Jellies at the bottom of the cup then topped with softly shaved ice topped with a little evaporated milk, Scoop of ice cream and some Leche Flan. You are supposed to mix everything together and then enjoy. If you are in the Panorama City area, I recommend Craft Tea House. This Halo Halo was so good! Def worth the $8 as they give you a large scoop of Ube Ice cream. This HH had chunks of caramelized Bananas, Jack Fruit, Leche Flan and toasted rice (Pinipeg) to give it some Texture. It's a small shop tucked in the corner of a little strip mall on the Southwest corner of Woodman & Roscoe Blvd across from Kaiser Permanente. Yes , this one gets a 5 star from me, it's my people, my favourite ube in this halo halo with a flan. Our first time here tonight, I have been telling my daughter to find a spot with REAL ube dessert that I've been craving for. Good enough she found one closer and we actually know the location by kaiser hospital. We were greeted by this nice young gentleman right away and brought our order within 5 minutes. I was floored! I see the ube and flan on top! By this time...I'm totally excited y'all, yay!!!!! So delicious! And it wasn't too sweet or just shaved ice in it, there were various ingredients, the mix ins range from creamy to chewy to gelatinous and even crunchy, making this treat a fun to eat!! I'm not too familiar of this Filipino dessert , I must have it like 3 times in my life !! But it's damn good! But i do know it's very popular. I am a huge fan of Halo Halo and I can pretty much rank the best to the worst. This is at the top. The ube ice cream, which I'm guessing is Magnolia, had a concentrated ube flavor and seemed to be extra creamy. It had a nice piece of flan and jackfruit , which was also fresh and not days old. There was boba in the drink, which I didn't think went at all, so I worked around it. It could have used more red beans and palm fruit and shredded cassava, but by the time you "mix-mix", which is what Halo Halo translates too, it was great! Craft Tea House serves unique drinks. I opted to try the Leche-flan milk tea, under the special teas category. It was a tasty drink. It tasted like a brown sugar milk tea, with a little additional flavor from the Leche flan. Therefore it was an elevated-tasting brown sugar milk tea. The brown sugar to milk or tea ratio was just right. It was not too sweet or too bland. The sweetness was just perfect. The boba was cooked perfectly. It was the right texture and a good taste. The Leche flan itself was really good. It tasted better than the standard Leche flan. It was the perfect sweetness, with a nice caramel flavor, and a nice creamy texture. It paired very well inside the drink, adding a little creamy texture. The quality of the drink was really good. The Leche flan honestly tasted homemade, and not something that is store-bought. I find that very impressive. The drink itself tasted good with quality ingredients. Again the boba tasted nice and fresh. The presentation is very nice. The drink itself looks very presentable and Instagram-worthy. Adding brown sugar syrup lining up the cup really adds to the presentation. In terms of price to portion, I would say it is semi-fair. The specialty drink comes to around $7 which is no doubt more expensive than the average. Though, it does come in a pretty big portion. By default, the cup is big. Again, they also add the Leche flan which could cause for an increase in price. Nonetheless, I would pay the same price to have this drink again. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I came around closing time and was hoping they weren't upset. They were the opposite and were very welcoming and friendly. They were very nice people to have a conversation with. They demonstrated excellent customer service. The drink came out pretty fast. It came out in average time. The ambiance is very, very nice. It is a very modern vibe. It looks very modern. It will definitely attract the younger crowd. I easily find the vibe of the place as a store where I can chill with my friends in. The place was overall very clean. The parking is a little hard.
