If I could give this place a zero I absolutely would. The sausage came out with the packaging still on it. They have no knives so we had to use a plastic knives to cut sausage that was tremendously overcooked. They have no butter, had to bring out melted cooking butter. Our server was very nice. It was her second day, but I will never come here again absolutely horrible experience.

I sat for 50 minutes waiting and not 1 person came to help me. I walked to the bar and asked the 1 waiter if I'm supposed to order somewhere else, he ignored me so i just stared until he said, yeah the bartender can help you. So i walk to the empty area of the bar and waited another few minutes for the bartender to take my order before i just gave up and left. There was female waitress (blonde) she walked around in circles doing nothing or playing on her phone. I've never waited 50 minutes in an empty restaurant before, was ridiculous. Never again will i return to this hole. See video for evidence of empty and picture of waiter just standing there on phone.

Unfortunately, our experience at the CRAFThouse left a lot to be desired. Despite the restaurant only having a few occupied tables, it took an unreasonably long time for anyone to even acknowledge our presence. We ordered water, a round of drinks, and an appetizer. The blue raspberry margarita was undrinkable -- it tasted overwhelmingly like rubbing alcohol with no hint of flavor, and we ended up sending it back. For the appetizer, we tried the fried mac and cheese, which tasted like it had been pulled straight from the freezer and deep-fried. It lacked seasoning, texture, and overall appeal. As for the chicken quesadilla, it was edible but bland -- definitely nothing to write home about. By the time we left, we were all joking (half-seriously) about whether we'd end up with food poisoning. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this spot based on our visit. The quality just didn't match the expectations. Not to mention they had tvs SO LOUD! We had to yell at each other just to engage in a conversation ...

Only 2 of what i would consider craft brews, just because its not bud light doesnt make it craft. Burnt is NOT medium rare, waaaaaaay overcooked burger. Not great just edible. Service was pretty good. Chicken sandwich is chicken jerky.

To go daiquiris! Mitchell did a great job serving us. The vibe was chill and you can tell it's a great spot to come hang out with friends.

    Bad queso

Don't get the queso it's trash and messed up my drinks. Bad queso, bad queso, bad queso.

Mac & Cheese (Side) Hawaiian Smoked Brisket Tacos (2pc)

I was in town for a work visit and stopped here based on a quick glance at the menu. The service was great but the food was disappointing. I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ tacos and it comes with a side. The chopped brisket tacos came out with cold pineapple slapped on top straight from a can of pineapple chunks. It was meh. The brisket was ok but the pineapple really brought this down quite a bit. The pulled pork Mac & cheese was the side I chose. It was inedible. The Mac & cheese alone was bland and the meat on top was not great. I tried to add bbq sauce, but it did not help. I usually box all leftovers because I hate food waste but I left the Mac & cheese on the table.

This is a college bar/restaurant and is exactly what you'd expect. The food was OK, the drinks were OK. Our server was really good and got this review an extra star. He was fast and came back plenty of times but not too much. They have a lot of frozen drink options just beware of massive ! I don't think we'll be back. Not a bad experience, just better options around.

"Nosh & Bevvy Won't Forgive Me for All the Ways They Wronged Me"…read more That title is meant to be ironic. After more than fifteen years as a customer, I made one mistake: a four-dollar tab discrepancy on a day when I had just been turned away from a dental appointment because my blood pressure was too high for treatment. I was upset, distracted, and wanted to be around people I believed were my friends. That was the last day I ever stayed there as a customer. Let's go down the list. I have been accused of skipping out on my tab. The truth is that after fifteen years of faithful patronage, there was one incident involving approximately four dollars. I had added items to my order, paid cash, and made a mistake. One mistake in fifteen years. After that happened, I became concerned that I would continue to be treated as though I couldn't be trusted. In my experience, comments about unpaid tabs continued to surface. Rather than create another misunderstanding, I made a point of being generous. On the very next occasion I tipped Charlie more than fifty percent. Instead of feeling appreciated, I arrived the next time feeling insulted when the entire amount was simply pocketed without so much as an acknowledgment. Maybe others see that differently. That's how it felt to me. The situation became even more disturbing when interactions began taking place outside the bar itself. While standing in front of my own home, I experienced conduct that I considered harassment. As a result, I filed a police report and have the corresponding case number in my email records. What disturbed me even more were stories that reached me through people connected to my former partner. According to what we were told, false rumors were being circulated claiming that my ex-girlfriend had committed suicide. Whether people thought this was gossip, entertainment, or somehow harmless, it was not. The psychological harm caused by spreading something like that is difficult to overstate. Shame on everyone involved. What you don't know is Satara an I  spoke with witnesses that completely implicated Gilbert in the rumor. What strikes me now is that I nearly forgave all of this. I removed earlier reviews because I genuinely wanted to move on. I thought it was over. I thought everyone could move on with their lives. Apparently not. If people insist on dragging the issue back into the light, then here it is. The reality is that I don't even particularly miss the place. What I do object to is being disrespected. When a business chooses to disrespect a customer who supported it for fifteen years, there are consequences. One of those consequences is that customer telling his side of the story publicly. A Message to the Staff: If I believe I am being harassed in public--whether at Night Owl or anywhere else--I will pursue every legal remedy available to me. And Sam, for what it's worth, I am sorry that your employees have represented your business in a way that ultimately cost you a longtime customer and the loss of business from everyone else that read & took this review to heart as a warning & again, Sam & Charlie, for what it's worth I wanted to make all of this go away.  Fifteen years. One four-dollar mistake. And somehow I'm still the one expected to apologize when I feel like my partner and I were the ones most wronged. Because I'm not a completely vindictive man. If I get an apology from every employee that works building that knows me, In writing, I will remove this review. -- Mad Dashiell

Beware The "Pastrami Reuben"…read more I saw that hundreds of people on Yelp had reviewed Cibolo Creek Brewing and overall ratings were over 4 stars. I should have done a bit more reading and looking at the pictures. We stopped in on a mid-afternoon Sunday in early June. First impression upon entering through the front door was confusion. It was not really clear what the process was to order and get a seat. We approached the bar area and then noticed the "order here and seat yourself" signs. Several people came in behind us and so we felt a bit rushed to order. There were several craft beers on tap, but I was told I could not get a flight at the moment. I was able to get a taster, but with all the people behind me waiting to order, I didn't feel I had time to find out more about the beers before committing to a 16oz pour or lose my place in line. Shame on me for not doing my homework. We tried "The BEST Burger" and the "Pastrami Reuben", both with fries and two beers for close to $60 plus tip. The burger wasn't the best. It was sort of "meh". The homemade fries were good. The so-called Reuben was closer to a brisket sandwich than an actual Reuben. The meat was very mesquite-wood-smokey and then appeared to have been fried on a grill (definitely not steamed). It was very chewy despite being thinly sliced and had NONE of the flavor good pastrami has. The menu claims the meat is tri-tip, but tri-tip is known to be a tender cut. The meat on that sandwich was NOT tender. Cibolo Creek Brewery is in a great location (which sort of explains the prices) right next to the Cibolo Creek Trail and River Road Park and they do have a nice covered outdoor seating area with large family-style picnic tables. I may return to sample a few more of their beers and see if there is something I like better on the menu.
