Are they the cheapest? No But they did a great job, and they are cheaper than all those ads you see on IG. I did find another company a few days before they were going to start through my water guy for 800 less, but they couldn't price match them. I already felt bad about giving the go-ahead to Craftsmans, so I just took the loss on that one. Talked to Richard regarding the coating. I did some research online, and people recommended you get the polyurea/polyaspartic coatings instead of regular epoxy out here due to the extreme heat we get. His 2-man team comes out early in the morning, and they take 3 days to complete the job. Richard comes by a day or 2 before they start so you can see the colors and flake options he has to offer. I just know people online DON'T recommend black at all because if you ever do work in your garage and you drop something, it's gone... can't find anything in that colorway. I chose a light grey with medium-sized flakes. 1st day, they diamond grind and patch up any cracks or chips they see on the cement surfaces, including stem walls, and put a base coat. Second day, they come and put down a second coat of the color you chose and the flakes that you chose. 3rd day the come and scrape off excess flakes that didn't stick and put on the final polyaspartic coat. Every day you have to leave your garage door cracked open to let it dry and air out. Also, so your garage door doesn't stick to the coat before it dries, make sure the week ahead is a dry one with no rain before you do the process. I did let it dry for almost a month before parking or doing anything in the garage to let it COMPLETELY dry and set. Richard did say the longer the better. For the prices they send you the bill with the CC fees already added, but if you pay with bank transfers you just have to subtract the CC fees yourself before paying, which can be confusing for some. I ended up paying 3700 for my 3-car garage with stem walls to be coated with poly. Only gripes I have so far are that I wish the final Poly coat was a little thicker; in some parts the flakes stick out a lot. Also, the color I chose, you kinda have to mop the floor often; marks show very well and kinda get dirty quick. Sucks for me cause I have OCD. Other than that, time will tell how well this coat stands up to the test of time. Since this is a poly coating and not the epoxy, this should hold up for a very long time. Richard also did mention that if there are any issues, just send him a message. So far, everybody who sees the garage they compliment on the color and flake scheme that I chose. read more

My credo is: the best, the most for the least. I was a little concerned that Craftsman Coating was the lowest of the three quotes that i obtained for updating my pool deck. In the end, they checked all of my boxes! Richard explained everything that they would do (and put it in writing) and that is exactly the job I received! It looked great for the first 6-8 months then began chipping in many areas. I followed all the after instructions and even left my vehicle and garage stuff out days longer than recommended. Sadly I've reached out to Mike twice to get it fixed. The first time he said "I'll put you on a warranty list". Never heard back. Followed up a year later and this time my orders no longer in their system. Waste of money in my opinion I should've just done this myself but I was assured that they use a diamond grinder so it should hold really well. read more

There were three or four of us military veteran families on our block in North Ranch and for the past few months we were discussing coating our garage floors, but thought we might get a better price if we did it all at one time. Richard from Craftsman Coatings was the most responsive sales representative and he was $200-$400 lower than the larger, more heavily advertised companies. As you can see in my photos I went for something different with the Adobe tan finish instead of a concrete shade and Craftsman Coatings added red speckles to the mixture at my request (and no extra charge). It turned out absolutely beautiful if you happen to love an immaculate garage floor that's easy to clean, impervious to just about everything, nothing sticks to it and you won't see those black tire marks any longer. This is my third epoxy based floor, and this crew that did this one probably did the best prep work, and I know this floor is going to last! Craftsman Coatings may be a smaller operation, but that personalized service is what makes me recommend them over any other Las Vegas coating company! read more

I am utterly disappointed with Craftsman Coatings and feel compelled to express my dissatisfaction with their abysmal service. After finding Craftsman Coatings on Yelp, I initially sought to have my garage floor and the downstairs interior of my house transformed into polished concrete. However, Richard persuaded me to opt for epoxy flooring instead. I paid a hefty 50% deposit and patiently waited for two weeks before even being scheduled. There was a big rush and daily text messages to get the deposit, then once received, complete silence. To my dismay, no one bothered to inform me of the project start date. I had to make an effort and call the main office, only to discover that they had arbitrarily scheduled it for November 1 without consulting with me. The lack of communication was infuriating. On Nov. 1 at 9 am I inquired about the team's arrival time since I had not been given an ETA window. I was nonchalantly informed that they rescheduled our appointment, again without telling me, and they would now arrive the next day. A text the next day, on November 2 at the end of the day, 4 pm, casually mentioned that the team was delayed at another job and would now begin on November 3. So, two days later than originally scheduled and I was never informed of the changes. Poor scheduling and communication is disrespectful and poor business practice. When the two-man team finally arrived at 10:30 am on November 3, their work ethic left much to be desired. The cul-de-sac was left strewn with Red Bull cans, cigarette butts, and sandwich wrappers after they departed at 2:30 pm. After the recommended three-day drying period, I discovered a shoddy paint job on the border wall and steps, incomplete corners, and sections of the floor left unfinished. Attempts to rectify these errors on November 8 only escalated the nightmare. Expressing concerns about the floor's vulnerability to scratches, Richard used his keys to demonstrate its strength only to completely tear up a huge layer of epoxy. The team tried to repair the damage, but their efforts fell short leaving big grinder swirl marks, and a cloudy matte finish. In a bizarre turn of events, Richard then berated and demeaned the two-man team in front of me, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone involved. This should be done in private, never in front of a client. Even after the team supposedly finished, further flaws emerged after a full seven days of drying time. Gaping holes in the epoxy coating, protruding sharp metal shards, unfinished corners, swirl marks from grinding and re-epoxying, drips of paint, drips of epoxy on the main driveway, and numerous other issues persisted. Despite five attempts to schedule another visit to correct issues, Craftsman Coatings failed to meet my December 1 deadline, leaving me without garage access during the Thanksgiving holiday and forcing us to park outside on a busy street for 3 weeks. My last attempt to find a solution was on Nov. 30, a plea for help through a text message to Richard. No response was received until 3 days later which revealed they prioritized other clients over us and several of their team were out sick. Craftsman Coatings' work was deplorable, and their communication was a nightmare. The entire experience was inconvenient and their lack of effort to complete the job within the agreed-upon timeframe and expected quality was utterly unprofessional. Several requests to speak with the owner were left unfulfilled. Because of all of this, we did NOT use their services for the interior and gave a one-star review of the service experience. When selecting a company for such projects, I advise steering clear of Craftsman Coatings. In my experience, they do not live up to their purported expertise and are not worthy of your trust or investment. The total fees are below and include hefty credit card fees and arbitrary transaction fees. - $1,950 project fee (garage floor only) - 3% credit card transaction fee (on original garage and interior finish quote) - $95 "credit card fee" - Totaling $2,220.18 It pains me to write a review like this for a small local business as I always try to support the local community. However, the quality of work, clearly seen in the photos, and the inconvenience of this experience were uncalled for and abysmal, plus a final solution was never reached. read more
