Came a little late on a Thursday night. Seated right away, waitress was super nice. Didn't want to order too much food but I shared appetizers and 1 entree with my friend and we were not disappointed at all! All of the apps sound and look amazing from what we could tell so the decision was hard. We ended up with the popcorn shrimp, Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and an order of the grilled cheese (bacon tomato etc) with tater tots. My friend also ordered a French onion soup. Everything looked amazing minus the popcorn shrimp. It was pretty boring also. Just small tiny shrimp, lightly fried (no breading) with a side of Chipotle Mayo. Could have passed on that. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls (didn't take a pic because we ate them so fast) were probably the best thing I've eaten in a long time. A tad on the greasy side but sometimes that makes it extra good lol however, they came with a cheese sauce and you don't even need it. There's already cheese inside the roll and it was just pure perfection. I'd order 10 of those if I could. It's a must have if you come here. The French onion soup was superb. The grilled cheese came on garlicky Texas toast and I have to say the ratio between the bread, cheese, crispy bacon and hot tomato was perfect. The tators were crispy and yummy as well. The crowd was light but also very into the Rangers game on TV. TV's everywhere so it's definitely a sport bar as well. Lots of drinks to choose from. My friend recommended this place and so we came here on a Sunday around 12:30 and were able to be seated inside right away. We got here before the Sunday football games started and we were able to get settled before it got too busy, the seating area we sat it was a little further away from the bar so that was helpful since we could still have a conversation without yelling as it got busier near the bar, the ambiance is nice and simple, there he seating both inside and outside with a bar outside as well. The staff was nice and efficient, they have a very big on tap beer menu, I ended up going with the goose island stout which was very decadent and strong. For food we shared a Mediterranean platter which had pita, olives, feta, hummus and more. For entree I went with the bourbon burger with sweet potato tater tots, I really enjoyed the burger, it was cooked perfectly and had a nice flavor, overall this is a nice spot, seems like a great place to watch a game and also located right near the Lynbrook LIRR station, I would return. read more

It pains me to leave a bad review but I have to be honest. I came here on a Saturday around 515pm and sat outside. The waiter was nice and attentive. I asked what he suggest and I took his suggestions. We started off with the fried onion which the inside of the onion bloom was still raw. They use funnel cake mix. We also ordered the fried pickles which was good. We ordered the Lynnbrook Burger which was greasy. The cheese burger was greasy, tater tots were so greasy, and the fried onions were so greasy. I mean a little grease is the normal but this was bad. We also had the pork sandwich. The drinks were good, service was great, but the food needs some work. The train passing by every 10 mins is not a big deal and the parking lot has a spots. The music was great but the food needs some tuning. read more

Located directly across from the LIRR (the place rumbles a bit when a train passes through) is this sizable eatery filled with tons of beers and an even better food menu. There's something about settling in with a Blue Point watermelon beer and a classic grilled cheese on Texas toast served with tater tots. The food here was great and very filling. The prices are pretty decent considering the amount of food you get. Service was spotty in the beginning but improved as the meal went on. Everywhere you look in the bar area there is a TV. The outdoor bar area is a decent size with its own bar and even heat lamps for the cooler months of the year. The restroom is located in an ideal spot - between the indoor and outdoor bar area so everyone wins once they choose to break the seal! It was Black Friday and looking for a restaurant last minute to take 8 of us. Obviously everywhere was booked but I called here and they were able to accommodate - assume because their space is large! Food is tasty and what you'd expect for some bar food (aka everything came with fries). Our meal was just OK - don't know if I'll be headed back anytime soon. The appetizer we had was a buffalo chicken dip which was definitely the best part of our meal! The absolute mule I had was very sweet, tasted like zero alcohol. My fiancé had a bunch of different beers which he said were all very good. My burger was good - but the bun was sooooooo soggy that it fell apart immediately. The lettuce was so wet on the burger - not happy with that. The meat was delicious but the entire burger as a whole was mediocre because of the bun situation. My fiancé had a turkey burger which also fell apart immediately. We weren't wowed by the place. Craft is such a great spot in Lynbrook!! It's nice to have a bar doing so well in the area with good service, great food, and an over all enjoyable atmosphere. I came here last night to get some drinks with my cousins. The place was packed, probably something to do with the fact that everyone is home from school for the holidays. But no big deal we still found a place to stand and talk. The service was great, very attentive even though there was such a big crowd which was awesome. We all were able to fill up our drinks without waiting too long in between! We also ordered a pretzel and some boneless wings, the teriyaki (which is probably my favorite on their menu). Both were delicious!! The pretzel at craft is by far one of the best I've ever had! And I eat pretzels every day multiple times a day. Something about the way this one is cooked just keeps me wanting more! The wings are really delicious too! I've even ordered some wings to go before from here and they've always been delicious!! Definitely a great neighborhood place to check out if you're in the area! Plus its right next to the train station so its an easy walk for anyone visiting by train! Just a side note - craft is a *craft* beer place. So, if you're looking for a bud light, you won't get it. That doesn't effect me personally, but I know some people in the group were thrown by that. I should really come to Craft more often! This bar used to be Mary Mac's, which was great, but Craft Kitchen & Taphouse is simply terrific! Conveniently located just a block from the Lynbrook train station, Craft offers both an outdoor bar (with seating) for those gorgeous evenings, as well as an indoor bar with plenty more seating, live music during peak hours, and more importantly a great selection of beer, wine and spirits. On my most recent visit, Joanna L. and myself brought our two friends to this venue for happy hour drinks and some appetizers to share. The better halves in the group ordered some mixed drinks while us guys went straight for the draughts... and boy does Craft have an excellent selection of beers! I couldn't possibly remember everything on tap (which is a great sign), but some include Montauk watermelon, Checker Cab, Brew Free! or Die IPA, Ommegang Fruition, Guinness, Brooklyn Blast, and LIC Beer Project. Personally, I went for the Kona Big Wave, which was the perfect refreshing beverage for a warm/dry summer evening (and it tasted very fresh), while my other friend, who must have been in the mood for good German beer, opted for Krombacher and Weithenstephan (he loved both). I should add that the bartender allowed both my friend and myself to SAMPLE the beers before we committed to buying them. Now that's service!!! I only wish more bars would do this!! Beer lovers might also enjoy the flight option of four 5-oz Craft beers for $12. Not a bad deal! Our group also decided to split three appetizers: tater tots, a Mediterranean platter and chicken quesadillas. The quesadillas and Mediterranean platter were nothing to sneeze at (both great) but the real winner was the tater tots. Holy moly! The tater tots have that soft interior and crunchy exterior complete with queso, scallions, and even taco meat! It is very delicious! I would especially recommend visiting when they have specials on the menu (before 7:00 for instance). My group spent $63+tip on 3 large appetizers, 4 mixed drinks and 3 beers. Quite a steal! Plus the crowds aren't too bad on those off-peak hours. In addition, the crew here is all friendly and very helpful (again, huge props to the bartenders for the great suggestions and sample beer offerings). Plus, the ambiance is perfect for an enjoyable summer evening or even a cold winter's night when you need to escape. They even have an excellent playlist of 80s, 90s and 2000s rock and pop playing in the background when a live band is not present. And with plenty of room to spare, you won't feel too cramped in this space. Come out to Craft and enjoy the perfect Lynbrook bar! read more

The service was great- they gave us great recommendations for beers they liked and which dishes they had tried before. We had the macaroni and cheese bites which you dip in beer cheese- we found that they didn't really have much flavor and were kind of bland. The fish sandwich was pretty good and the French onion burger was good too. The star of the meal was definitely the bread pudding- it was a huge dessert that two people could split and I ordered it because the waitress said it was her favorite. I have been meaning to eat here for a while, finally got around to it. I have to say, I enjoyed the food. We all did. First of all, the staff is friendly and very attentive. I noticed they came around every few minutes to check if we needed anything, take away empty plates and refill water. I never had to look for someone. Great service! started off with the beer battered onion blossoms. Everyone enjoyed them, they looked like funnel cake...pretty cool. Kids enjoyed their food, kids cheeseburger was a decent size and (what looked like) homemade Mac&cheese was tasty and a big portion. The brook burger was good, tater tots inside was a nice touch. Came here with my friend a couple weeks ago. They have a large selection of beer on tap. They even have Kona on tap - you don't really find that at many bars. We got the beer flights so we got to try a couple different kinds. There was a seating area and bar outside so we had our drinks outside instead. Nice atmosphere. Good mix of people. Do not waste your money or time. I came here with my husband last year and i remember i did not enjoy the food, but for some reason he forgot and had me try again. He now remembers that HIS WIFE IS ALWAYS RIGHT. I got a french onion soup for start, it tasted like toilet water. The worst french onion soup i ever had. He got steak tid bits for his meal. It was edible he said due to his hunger. The fries were soggy though. When i looked at this meal of his it was mostly cheese and bread the "steak" was some type of thin sliced meal... now i got a salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was the weirdest thing ive ever seen and i did not like it. every time i moved the salad around the dressing that was supposed to be balsamic seemed sticky and gooey. It turned me off all together so a $67 bill for lunch and the only thing that was decent was the CHEESE ON BREAD. read more

Oh my goodness I love this place ! I am in love with their chelsea pumpkin ale! They have great wings and I'm loving all the beers available especially on tap. They are opened day times on Sunday's and it does get crowded during game seasons. There is also outside area where you can drink and eat also. I don't know about the rest of you but, when I go to any type of bar/pub place that serves classic American fare I usually throw it into two categories. 1. I'm drunk so it's edible. 2. It's good for a plate of reheated fried crap. Then there's Craft Kitchen and Tap House. Yes they have classic American food such as burgers and dogs but done super fresh and with a twist. For starters we came for lunch and had two really great servers. One was Steven and I unfortunately don't know the second one's name but, I have to say they were two of the nicest guys ever. Even if the food wasn't good (which it was very good) I would come back just for drinks because of the friendly service. As for what we ordered. Fish tacos because of my need to feed my taco addiction, caprese chicken sausage served on a bun with mozz, tom and onion and last but not least philly cheesesteak rolls. The chili bread bowl is really good here. The beer options are vast so we got a flight of beer to try and decide which one we wanted to have with our meal. I don't remember which one was the one we ultimately chose but I do remember not liking most of them. I ended up getting a burger and fries as my entree which was tastey enough. The service was friendly and they took my food allergies seriously and made an effort to accomodate me. The parking situation is a nightmare. The free parking lot was packed with cars but only two other people were sitting down inside of the restaurant at the time. We chose to park on the street and feed the meter. I'm not a fan of having to time my meal because a meter is running but unfortunately in this area you have to pay to park everywhere. read more

At long last, my wife and I were able to visit Craft Kitchen and Taphouse last Friday with some out of town friends in tow. We arrived around 8:00 for a late dinner and beers and were seated in the center of the main bar area. This was not going to be good as I loathe pub tables, but was anxious to sit after a grueling workday. Unfortunately, we landed smack dab in the middle of playoff hockey, playoff basketball and two hometown baseball games. The sound from the TVs and the raucous fans watching them made simple conversation a matter of shouting. We had a few appetizers; Pretzels and Tater Tots. Their play on Irish Nachos with Tater Tots was very good, but the pretzel was a piping hot meh. I had "The 44" which was basically a grilled cheese with short ribs. It was tasty, but didn't make me swoon. The real tragedy was the limitations of the menu. There were a few sandwiches, a few burgers and a few salads. That's it. Even the Beer Menu left a lot to be desired. And they totally bummed me out when I ordered a Chimay Grande Réserve (Chimay Blue) and was served a bottle with no goblet. smh. They redeemed themselves with a beautifully sexy Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier which was served properly in a Weizen Glass, followed by a Brooklyn Blast! served in a snifter. The real fail for a place called Craft Kitchen and Taphouse was having no Stouts or Porters save for Guinness cans. That's terrible. I've seen this place billed as both a Gastropub and a Brewpub. The truth is, it's neither. Craft Kitchen is a gussied up sports bar with a prosaic craft beer selection. The food was good, better than most sports bars. My first time writing a review as well as the first time trying this restaurant. The menu was interesting, the food and service were all fine until we got our check. The total was $72 and I gave the waitress a $100 bill. After waiting for more than 20 minutes for the change, my dining companion had to track down the waitress to ask for the change. He claimed she turned white as a ghost!!! I guess she wasn't used to getting caught with her greediness. Did she really think I would leave a $30 tip on a $70 bill. This wasn't a steakhouse and I am not Rockefeller. Either way, as a former waitress and no spring chicken, rule #1 is to return all the change, unless I specifically say "keep the change", I didn't! After speaking with the manager after I had already left and came back in, there was barely an apology! Needless to say, I will never be coming back here, I don't appreciate being robbed!!! This place has a huge positive vibe. Yes, there is alot of testerone, bit if you come here with friends, or you meet people at the bar, you will certainly be upbeat. The parking lot can hold about 20 to 25 cars, and it is next to LIRR tracks for added parking in the area. The place is huge to say the least. Once you wallk past the outdoor drinking area, a door opens up and there are 3 genfer neurral bathrooms on the left before you come up to the hosts podium. The host greeted us with such a friendly smile, you felt instantly welcomed. As you walk in, the long bar on the left has enough room to be at least 6 to 7 people deep from the bar. They have brews for all tastes. The wait staff will gladly offer a sample of the draft beers they have. They also have an extensive bottle and can list. They even have 3 types of ciders to try: 1 draft and 2 in the cans.you can find a high table to the right or continue straight to a slightly lower vllume of excited shouts when you see the patrons watching the several tv screens of football on a Sunday evening. Unfortunately, they ran out of tacos and 1 of the ciders my friend ordered, but we made do. I wanted to order the BEC sliders; bacon egg and cheese, but looked at the double fried mac and cheese. For me it was ok, but definitely a novelty to try. Also shared a grilled chicken sandwich that i picked tater tots along with it. The tater tots were awesome. I hosted a retirement cocktail party for my husband last night at the Craft Wantagh location. There is not one negative thing anyone could possibly say. From start to finish it was a fantastic night. The two waitresses we had were friendly and attentive to the party. The food was FANTASTIC. The bartender was on point with her great accent. Kids hot dog buns felt stale. water glasses we're dirty and cloudy looking. a random waitress came over and rested her head on our table and made funny faces at my son who was a little disruptive in the restaurant. First time here yesterday and I'm wondering why we didn't come here sooner. Friendly service, delicious food for a reasonable price - and super accommodating for even their youngest patrons. My daughter and I split the Bavarian pretzel, which came out warm and toasty and was huge. The 2 cheese sauces that came with it were very yummy - especially the beer cheese one. When I couldn't decide which sandwich to order, our server recommended the 'Madonna' sandwich - it was delicious. I was a bit full from the pretzel so I took half of my sandwich home which I just had for lunch today and was equally delicious leftover. (pro tip: reheat it in the toaster oven). My daughter had mozzarella sticks and judging by the way she devoured them, I'd say she approves. If you're looking for a low key spot to grab a beer and bite to eat, I highly recommend. We definitely will be coming back here. If the owner is reading this, my one and only recommendation would be to add a few low tables in the outdoor area. Ordered delivery tonight and everything was above expectations for take out. We ordered 3 apps (soup special, boneless wings and fried pickles) and two meals (bourbon bacon burger and Nashville chicken sandwich special) with a few modifications and everything came out prefect! Also, the last time we ordered take out from them was when my parents visited our of state and a few days later my mom received a call asking if everything was ok and wanted to know if there were any issues.
