It honestly means a lot and makes a huge difference, so thank you so much ladies. HB is family owned and operated by a wife, Patricia, and her husband, Tweety. Tweety has also been helpful and welcoming, and you can tell he loves what he does based off his enthusiasm the few times he's been there while I was at HB. The interior is very inviting with all their aesthetics. My most recent visit was July 23, 2026, and I ordered their Caramel Devotion, and it was such a great treat. The amount of sweetness was perfect.I have also ordered Hola Jefe, which definitely has my heart since that was the first drink I had on my first visit, and it blew me away with its flavors. Other drinks I've had are Kenyan Dirty Chai and the Million dollar white mocha. I have also had their soft and decadent cinnamon roll. It's not tiny at all, which is great because who wants a tiny dessert that you can finish in one bite? Hehe he, if you like or love cinnamon rolls you need to try theirs. The pastries are fine for a quick stop and appear similar to bulk items from stores like Costco. In the past, they sold a bottled cold brew that was great. They also feature a catering menu with Kenyan items such as Mandazi and samosas. Husband and wife Tweety and Patrice Angwenyi co-own the business. Apparently, they started the company in 2019 by roasting coffee in their one-bedroom apartment. Both owners formerly worked as high school educators before transitioning. Patrice grew up in Fort Worth's Historic Southside. Tweety was raised on a family-operated coffee farm in Kenya. Having lived in Kenya, I recognize him likely originating from an Ekegusii family in Kisii County. The real appeal of the business is the community the owners have built. While I am not part of the culture, their mission is faith-based, Black-owned. The owners define the word "hustle" as an acronym for "Help Us See The Light Everywhere". Beyond serving coffee, they host Saturday co-ed Bible studies, collaborate with neighborhood organizations, and mentor at-risk teenagers.
