I made my own boil bag. Snow crab legs (paid for extra clusters), shrimp (asked for NO heads, but they had heads) corn (very tasty) sausage (cut VERY thin) and two hard boiled eggs (were good). Overall, the boil bag was very good. Service was a bit unorganized, though!! Line was very long. Also, you had to have pre-ordered, via their online website or called in your order (I tried to call, but NO answer). I was confused by the fact that you could not walk up to the window and place an order (what business does NOT want to take your money, especially during a pandemic?!?!) So I have to update my review on this location. Don't get me wrong the broils are delicious! However my previous reviews were based on my carry out experience. I dined in for the first time this week. I came on a Thursday in January around 6ish. There was a 30 minute wait ...which tells you, the food is good (I can't take that from this establishment). The place is clean, nice bar area and lots of TVs to watch the news or games etc. music is a little loud and almost seemed like they want to promote a club vibe. All that, I'm fine with...it's the customer service. While no one was rude, our waitress seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. It literally took 45 minutes for our food to come out after we were seated. Mind you, we had a 30 minute wait to be seated, and another 10 for her to take our drink orders etc. by the time she came to our table, we all knew what we wanted to eat and ordered. Not sure if they had to catch the seafood first but it took forever. When we asked questions about the menu, she couldn't really answer. When we asked for crab crackers, she told us she could only give her one and if we didn't give it back when we were finished, they would take it out of her check. It was a table of 4 that had to share one crab cracker. Wasn't the worst experience, but I think I'll definitely stick to the carry out rather than dine in. read more

I really enjoyed the Crafty crab. I had the Snow crab special, it was about $21. It came with a crab leg cluster, shrimp, sausage, corn and potatoes. Really filling and the BOOM sauce just made the boil even better. I also had a Mai Tai which they even gave a extra shot. RiRi was our server which she did a excellent job, very pleasant, patient and even being 9 months pregnant, now that's dedication. We Definitely Have Work to Do. Still very much a work in progress. We ordered the New Zealand Mussels, Scallops, Catfish, Gumbo and Coleslaw. Unfortunately most of these items missed the mark. Pros: The scallops were great. Nicely seasoned and cooked well. No complaints there. The coleslaw was also a highlight. Highly recommend it if you like coleslaw. Coleslaw isn't exactly a difficult feat for a restaurant to achieve, but a point for them nonetheless. Our server Shirlnise was great. Would recommend that she familiarize herself with the menu a little more but other than that, she was pleasant and attentive and I would ask for her again if I came back. The restaurant appears to have adequate staffing. Everyone seems to be eager to help each other and accepts feedback from the customers. The place had plenty, almost too much seating and I could see it being a nice neighborhood spot once the bar is up and running. Cons: The mussels were a disaster. They were way over steamed and tough and rubbery to chew and had way too much seasoning. I had quite a few that tasted either old, spoiled or freezer burned. They really should start from scratch with the mussels and the recipe. A flat out no for me. Gumbo wasn't warm enough. Was difficult to get the flavors and the taste. A long way away from New Orleans. Catfish was bland and slightly undercooked. A crispier texture is more of a personal preference but, nonetheless, it wasn't memorable and I won't order it again. The bathroom should not look like that on the first day. Please have someone clean it ASAP. Also, the menu stating that the restaurant does not give refunds after the food has been delivered to the table is rather off putting. That would have definitely been a deterrent for me if I had known that ahead of time. Suggestions: Prices may need to be looked at. I thought they were a little on the high side. Also, I'm not sure if they plan to use regular dishes and flatware, but serving drinks in a disposable cup and plastic utensils is quite unappealing. I'd also recommend removing the floor seating from the main entrance side of the bar. Or use smaller tables. To avoid crowding at the bar. read more

I absolutely enjoyed my experience at Crafty Crab. The gentleman who greeted us was handsome with a beautiful smile and very polite. I wish I'd gotten his name (and number ). The hostess was really nice. Our server was Chloe!!! Ask for Chloe! Chloe was the consummate professional. You was patient, funny, efficient. She was knowledgeable of the menu and specials. She was apologetic for the bar not being opened yet. (They have beer for now but will be opening a full bar soon. Its a new restaurant). The food was delicious especially since I love a cajun, creole flair. We had hush puppies, calamari and scallops for appetizers. I thought the hush puppies had a little too much corn meal but they were enjoyable. I finish most of the calamari with the amazing boom sauce! Make sure you get it! For my entree I had the chefs special which consisted of 1 cluster of snow crabs, 1 cluster of Dungeness crab, 1/2 pound of shrimp, potatoes, corn on the cob, and sausage. I also had a 1/2 pound of mussels. Everything was AWESOME. Nothing was over or under cooked. The portions were very pleasing. The pricing is moderate. The food and staff are definitely 1st Class. That they have a true customer. Even in times of having to deal with COVID-19, they were organized and my food was ready when I went to pick it up. I ordered online and I receive a text when it was ready for me to pick up Even though when I arrived, there was a short line to pick up orders, the line moves so quickly and the young ladies behind the counters was getting people in and out of there. I ordered the crab legs as well as the order of the cat fish, coleslaw and some other side dishes. Everything was hot and quite delicious. And the sauce that I chose for the crab legs was superb. I love the place! The prices are awesome and the food match. I've been here twice, once for dine-in and another for carry-out. When I tell you both times the food was the bomb.com! Both times I got a boil and it's definitely worth the money. I got the snow crab and shrimp with the sausage and... bayyyybeeee! It was good. A both of both is definitely enough for two ppl. Ok people...another review. Let's start with what we had: shrimp basket, chicken tender basket, gumbo and half and half to drink. I remember when this place was a seafood buffet and if you do as well, will be pleasantly pleased that the layout is entirely different now. The buffet layout is gone and a very Jack Sparrow-y them is in place, which is a set over a New Orleans themed menu...but you can get over that though, and you should because our lunch was worth it. Now, this place is like those seafood boil-type restaurants now popular in our area, but I am allergic, so I can't review that. What I can tell you is that my chicken tenders arrived hot and fresh. The fries were hot and not greasy. The chicken was hand breaded and not greasy. The same for the shrimp basket that was full of large, breaded shrimp and the sweet fries were crisp, not greasy and delicious. Even the half and half was great. The only miss was the gumbo. It is available with or without rice, but that doesn't matter, it is bland and outside of small (and I mean small) pieces of sausage, there was no other meat and no seafood, despite being informed that it was seafood. Salt and pepper can't save the gravy stock which they try to pass as a roux. No fooling me! But if you are REALLY hungry...no, I am lying. Just skip it and wait for your food. There is a full bar with plenty of TVs to enjoy while passing time and a private room. So come on by, and if you see me in the house, I'll let you pay for my chicken tenders! I ordered the Snow Crab Special. It came with One cluster of snow crab legs, shrimp (not sure how many) 2 potatoes, smoked sausages (sliced) 2 ears of corn, and I ordered 2 boiled eggs as add ons. Everything was in a double plastic bag in Cajun sauce. (my choice of sauce). I also ordered two fried catfish baskets with fries for my sons. Everything was delicious and flavorful. My sons enjoyed their food as well. I was very satisfied. I feel like the seafood boil was reasonably priced. However, I feel like the catfish baskets were overpriced. Based on another restaurant. $20 That could just be me. Back to the seafood boil. I feel like the portions were reasonable and just right. The bag that I purchased is meant for one person. Returned home and all selections that I made online were in the bag except for the snow crab cluster(s). You would think the main ingredient would be in the bag. I called back to the store and the manager lets me know that I should have checked the bag before I left because she checked with the cook and the cook surely put it in the bag. Sad because I am at the kitchen island with a boil bag and NO snow crab legs. Because I''M WRONG for not making sure their staff put the main ingredient in the bag, I should take the loss. First time to try their seafood boil and definitely not a good experience. Not a fan of having to look through the bag to see if your staff packed the bag correctly.
