I was here on 2/27/2022 at 3:23pm from out of town! When my sister decided let's eat at Crafty crab.... The first issue was we couldn't sit at the bar and wait because the bartender was waiting tables and wasn't behind the bar... then we finally got seated when I order the daily crab leg special with a pound of crawfish, I opened my bag when it arrived and it was the longest piece of thick hair on my food. I immediately asked for the manager, she sent the waitress back to the table that offered me a free cheesecake (which I'm allergic) I replied I don't eat cheesecake can you have the manager come! When she approach the table she comes and stand and just look like a deer in headlights! I begin to start the conversation off and she said I offered you cheesecake or I can give you 10% of your meal only! The manager works her ass off to accommodate a mediocre staff. The bar staff is extremely lazy and lackadaisical. Strong customer service training is needed with an emphasis on customer experience. The food was good, but the kitchen staff also need more training on how to provide stellar service. These are Just factors to keep in mind when visiting. read more

Wow!!! Who is the real manager here cause I think you are getting ripped off by the employee's. My first to go order was a 1/2 pound boil bag that included 4 clusters of nice sized snow crab legs and headless shrimp (12-15 med size) with potatoes and corn... today I ordered 1 pound boil bag of snow crab legs with headless shrimp and received only 2 clusters of snow crab legs with a few shrimp, potatoes and 2 ears of corn. I'm confused as I payed almost $60 dollars and received half of what I ordered on my previous visit. read more

The good, the food was delicious. I had the crab cluster, headless shrimp and sausage special, which really isn't a special because they have it EVERYDAY. Corn and potatoes came in the bag with the meat and the fire sauce. I got fries on the side, served cool, and coleslaw, served warm, go figure. I thought the slaw was pretty good. The bad, the SERVICE WAS HORRENDOUS. We had Destiny. We asked for 5 minutes to gather our drink order, 20 minutes later and we're still looking for her to order WATER!!!! No Destiny. No chips, no salsa, no bread on the table, no server. We arrived around 6:15pm. We did not get food until after 7:30pm. Part of the tables order was missing. She had to go back and put in the order. Of course, by the time theirs came out, it was piping hot, but the rest of us was nearly finished our food. She had the audacity to point out that she was getting her 18% because of the party over 8. OMG really girl. Would have gotten a lot more had the service been better. The UGLY, it's really ugly. We had a party of 8. You have to make a reservation in person for a party of 8 with a deposit of $100!!!! WTF, because they won't take a reservation on the phone? Then they want a copy of your credit card AND your drivers license. They keep these documents in an envelop and return to you at the end of your meal. THIS HAS GOT TO BE A VIOLATION OF SOMEBODY'S SECURITY PROTOCOLS. I'm filing a negative rating with the BBB because of these practices. No way this is legal. Placed an online order for the daily special (snow crab legs) with an extra lbs of king crab legs additional $35.99. I picked up the order and returned to my home. When I arrived I noticed that the king crab legs were not included in my bag. Made a call to store to see what can be done and the staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Pretty much told me there was nothing I can do and it was my responsibility to check the bags before I left the store. The young women in this location are very rude and unprofessional. I have had several bad experiences when interacting with the staff at this location. Food is great service is HORRIBLE. read more

Terrible customer service! I came in at 8:30 and they had the nerve to say they're done seating for the night.... meanwhile they close at 10pm. The time before we watched the host write our name down, waited the 20 mins, never got a text and then we came back inside for them to say oh we couldn't find your number and we're no longer seating people... the host in the front are very UNWELCOMING and all seem like children. Crab broil - We called all day no answer to the phone so I took a chance and popped up- we got a table 35 min wait not bad at all for a walk in. Food is delicious we had the boom sauce on craw fish, headless shrimp, and Dungeness crab with a side of fries and hush puppies. Everything we ordered was tasty I went with my nephew and daughter both 12 they also ordered the sweet tea and lemonade and like it so much we had another round to go. I ordered the henny margarita and it was yummy. I spilled the entire drink reaching for the bucket unfortunately and was told by the waiter I be charged for another - i inquired as to why ( clearly i was in a pool of liquor on the floor) and was told if he did not charge me he have to pay for the drink out of his pocket. I asked for the manager who never came but was told by the waiter he would say the same thing. I took the drink but for a restaurant which is a franchise at that this policy is distasteful. I still went ahead and tipped him as it was not his fault but I prefer to spend my money elsewhere just because of that situation. Hello all!! My First Time and Last experience!! I walked into Crafty Crab 10 minutes ago to the smell of nasty old mop water throughout the whole restaurant. I approached to bar to sit down where there were absolutely no patrons there. The bartender with short blonde hair had her back turned on the phone I was standing there for a good 7minuetes before I was acknowledged. I asked the young lady if I could sit at the bar and If there is a socket I could use for my laptop. The bartender rudely and fast said no and turned back around. No, let me see If I can find you a socket or anything. I guess she was in a hurry to get back to her phone call. All because of her rudeness and lack of customer service. I never got a chance to actually try this place. This is based off of the ordering services. I went online to place an order after checking the time that they close. I saw that the closure time was 11pm on my app on my phone. Plenty of time considering it was currently 9:30. When I went to the website, the closing was listed at 10:30. I thought ok let me get on to the restaurant so I won't be last getting my order. I get a call at 9:57 asking me will I be there be 10 as they close at 10. I told the girl on the phone that the hours online are inconsistent with what she was telling me. I told her I wouldn't have ordered if that was the case. She said hold on. She comes back to the phone to tell me they will keep my order if I'm there by 10:05pm. This was absolutely impossible as I was just crossing MD 301. I will never try this restaurant now just because of the lack of informative information. I had already been driving for about 15 minutes to get there. Thinking of the number of OPEN restaurants I passed to try to support this one. Oh well. So much for Crafty Crab. Guess I'll stick to Mike's Seafood. They don't have a problem taking my coins. And they display correct hours. TIP: don't allow online ordering AND don't send a confirmation email past a certain time if you are not going to honor orders. read more

The food was delicious however, our server was horrible. She brought a notepad to take the order however, still got the order wrong. She has no sense of urgency nor any sense of customer service. The one thing she explains is how she took charge to not give us a kids meal but a chicken strip adult meal because we stated the kids was sharing. BEWARE!!!!! DON'T EAT HERE!!!If I could give no stars I would. My boyfriend purchased a bag that included crab legs(1lb) , shrimp(1lb) , and mussels (1lb) and he payed for extra sauce. Picked up the order around 7:10pm,left went to go grab some last minute groceries and went home. By the time I ate this meal it was 8:20pm and within my first bite I noticed the seafood wasn't cooked. I called at 8:25pm and informed them of my problem. I was told to bring the food back and I would receive a refund. Pretty simple right? Well I get there and ask to be directed to a manager, someone leads me over to a girl named Lena who I began to explain my issue to, and she immediately says I can't get a refund. I explain that the food was uncooked and I was told I could get my money back. Lena insisted that there were no refunds but offered to recook the bag for me. I explained that I don't trust them to cook any seafood and just want my money back. After realizing Lena could not help me, I asked for her name for I would be reporting this to the health department. That's when she leaves and go grabs some other girl named Silver Brisco who says she is the manager. I again explain to Ms. Brisco the issue and ask for my money back. She offers to give me back 18 on a 60 bill. Not even half of my money and I brought her back more than half of the food. She explains that she can't do anything with the food so she can't give a full refund. I explain that neither can I since I was sold uncooked seafood.At the end of the day neither "managers" were helpful and I walked out without my refund and I left the food there. Went here on oct 27, 2020 was seating immediately At the bar great service what what really made the service great was the bartender ms. Cora great customer service great convo made us feel welcome and at home. Will only visit this establishment when she's at work!!! Ms. Cora is really a great bartender and people's person. Ordered carry out and the food was great. Scallops, hush puppies, and fried catfish. The service was really good.

The food was ok. After paying my bill I found out a few hours later the waitress Latonya took all my card information and made a $225.00 purchase at 2am. I contacted the merchant to whom she charged my card to,they were able to provide me her name and her city and state. I reached out to the manger to inform her of the accident that took place and let her know I filed a claim through my bank and with the merchant which processed the $225 payment and was only assured it wouldn't happened next time I dine in. Needless to say I will not dine here again and I recommend you bring cash. read more

One of the host or whomever answer the phone I'll like to specify it was a Girl was really rude and hung up on me, i have a soft voice and the girl ask me what did you say 3 times and i picked up my voice not in a rude way so she can clearly hear me and she yelled you don't have to yell and hung up not knowing if i had another question or wanted to place a order. If I were to just rate the food it would be 5 stars! My servers name was Ni and she was fantastic great personality she checked on me and my friend and even gave suggestions on what to order. But midway through my dinning experience I witnessed a man THROW UP at the bar! I was SHOCKED! Not only did he throw up next to ppl he wasn't even there with not one staff mmemebr checked on him or even acknowledged he threw up AT THE BAR! Also no one even cleaned it up I watched multiple staff members just walk by and look at it? It was one of the most bizarre dinning experiences I ever had. Went yesterday (Saturday) for the first time. Arrived about 2:25. There was a 40 min wait. About what we expected. Got Seated in 40 min. Waited an additional 10+ min before our orders were taken. Our server was Detiva. Very pleasant, bubbly, accommodating, sweet. Wasn't long before our boils came out. Be sure to ask for the daily specials! A little disappointed that our fried foods came out about 15 min later. Always bugs me when ppl can't start eating together, BUT Detiva kept checking and updating us. When the fried foods came out, they were piping hot. The hush puppies were delicious! Kids chicken tenders meal was hearty! Enough for an adult. Fried shrimp were perfectly battered. On January 17th, 2020 my family and I decided to have dinner at your restaurant after me being several times myself and being provided with great food and service. This clearly was the wrong decision on this night. What started out as a party of 12 dwindled down to a party of 9 with 2 people no longer eating and only ordering drinks because they were so displeased with everything leading up to us finally being seated. We arrived at Crafty Crab at 7:47pm and did not get seated after constantly complaining about watching others who came in the door after us being seated first. We even witnessed a waitress come to the front and escort a new party of her friends that had just came in back to their table before us. Ourselves, along with another woman who only had a party of 4 were not seated until after 10pm. Which is ridiculous! When trying to talk to the manager on several occasions regarding the wait, we were brushed off each time being told that she is going in order and looking for a table for all of us and that she was able to clear out the whole lobby almost in some small amount of time. Again, she got most of the lobby seated, yes, but these are people who arrived after us. One of my brothers looked on the table notebook that was upfront and seen our reservation number had been crossed out and when asked about it the manager said that was for another table. But with that long of a wait you'd think it was ours and possibly done by accident explaining why we hadn't been seated. Fast forward, we are finally seated into two different booths after 10pm and then wait an additional 20 mins before a waitress by the name of Sade ever even comes over to the table to welcome us. When she finally does, we give her our drink and appetizers orders. We wait another 30-45 mins before all of these things come to our tables. When they do, we ask her for condiments for the different appetizers and also try to order additional drinks, she disappears again. At this point, I am completely embarrassed and angry because I spoke so highly of this establishment to begin with. We eat the appetizers without the condiments because she hadn't returned and so I now go to look for the owner. I'm told the owner isn't there and the manager asks what's wrong, I explain all of this to the manager which is the same manager that wasn't helpful at all early on in the process and she proceeds to talk to the waitress. The manager explains to us how the waitress is slow and only has 2 or 3 tables and is struggling and the only way to get her to get faster is to make her take tables. None of this is helpful to us, as that's not our business and we just want great food and even better customer service which we had experienced none of. It's now almost time for the restaurant to close and we have yet to put our entree orders in, I find the manager to let her know this hasn't been done and she gets the waitress to take them. We order more drinks and they haven't come and now the bar has done last call, luckily the manager was able to at least still get us some drinks. As we're finishing up eating our waitress is taking off her clothes to fight another one of her tables because she was dissatisfied with the feedback on her service coming from her customers. Earlier on the manager stated we would be compensated for the horrible experience and when receiving the bill a total of $15 was taken off of an order of $274.89 which would have been around $500-$600 had some of my family not have left or would have still been ordering food. This restaurant needs new management, better staff and improved organization because the current people and system in place will continue to cause a lost in revenue. So many people turned around and walked out of that restaurant because of the wait. So many tables beside us (the ones that weren't just sitting vacant and dirty) were sharing their horrible experiences with us. Again, my brother and I were coming weekly because we love the restaurant itself, the food, the prices and some staff such as the waitress Brittani who is phenomenal by the way! But, the light skin, female, with braided cornrows, was horrible! I want to say she said her name was Sin. The waitress Sade was horrible. I will be following up with a Yelp review as well to ensure something is done because this trip was a waste of our time and money! In a nutshell for those who choose not to read it all; 1. My family and I are still in complete shock as to what occurred last night after a simple night out for some good seafood. In short - me speaking to "THE MANAGER" (Kisha) about us not even being greeted after sitting at our table for 25 minutes resulted in me being verbally assaulted and threatened with physical violence by Nya (who claimed to be Kisha's Manager) as we were leaving! YES - as other staff members pulled her away from me while she was threatening to hit me, she was yelling "No - I'm about to smack the 'sh!t' out of this 'Bit%h' and "No - I'm about to 'fcuk" her up!"
