#2. Snow Krab and Shrimp
Latoya J.

Food was amazing. They give you a lot of food it is cook to order. I had the lemon pepper butter sauce and my husband had jerk. The conch fitters cooked to perfection. It was clean and nice seating area.

Excellent well prepared and fresh. Way above average. Highly recommended. The shrimp pasta and gumbo were delicious.

endangered Florida manatee that came right up to our table.

The fried coconut shrimp was excellent, the broccoli overcooked. This is the only seafood restaurant in Florida city. Unless you're in a big hurry, continue on to Key Largo or you'll have lots of choices of fresh seafood on the water. Use yelp as a guide. yesterday we ate on the water there and manatees came up the channel to our table. A bait boat also came in and unloaded a dozen car boys fingerling swordfish used as bait. good and the seafood was so good. We decided we have some more tonight. But we didn't hold out for the seafood in the keys. The crab Kings was but like eating the McDonald's

Pasta primavera was light but still really satisfying. The veggies were fresh and still had a nice crunch. The olive oil and garlic base worked well without overpowering the dish. I liked how they gave us warm bread to start too. Our server was super attentive and sweet. The space is small but has a cute charm to it. Would come back for lunch again.

Waste of my time. They are closed.

Arrived in Wednesday 5:30pm and saw the sign of hours of operation but restaurant is closed. Waste of my time.

If you're a seafood lover, you have to check out this crab restaurant! Please know this is a small casual ambience located in Florida City. The crabs were outstanding! They were cooked to perfection, and the seasoning was just right. The crabmeat is juicy and sweet, and every bite is a treat. The prices were reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the service. Overall, this is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a fantastic crab feast.

Fried snapper with okra

I had the snow crab legs with lemon pepper and I must say it was delicious!!! My husband had the fried fish with fried Okra he really enjoyed it. Very friendly host who is also our server. We went in an early Sunday afternoon the place was empty with nice reggae music. Surprised place it's not more popular. Very casual.

Crab boil- it was fantastic!!!!

Our first meal at Krab Kings was not perfect, but pretty darn close! We ordered the "Krab King Sampler" which is packed with Blue Crab, Snow crab, Dungeness, shrimp potatoes, corn on the cob and eggs. We also ordered fried okra. The seafood was cooked to perfection. Nothing was over cooked or over/under seasoned. The fried okra was hot and the breading crispy. The reason I feel the overall experience was less than perfect is because the service could use improving. Even though we ordered the Sampler, we did not receive "crab crackers", or scissors/small fork etc. and when I asked for the crackers we were given 1 to share and, we had to ask for ranch for the okra which is a pretty standard inclusion. I didn't reduce my review for the service because the waitress was quite young, (probably in high school still), and even though these items had to be asked for, her reaction was very friendly and apologetic so I think that's a good opportunity for training and growth. The location is a little set back off US1 in a small strip plaza, but it's worth looking for. Inside was extremely clean and had ZERO seafood odor. Overall we truly enjoyed our meal and would suggest Krab Kingz to friends & family

Excellent food & great service. Christian own & operated business. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Going to focus on layout & their speciality shrimp sub. The shrimp was more grilled then fried stacked upon a delicious onion, bell pepper, type slaw cleaver seasons served with a huge amount of fried. Tarter sauce served to the side. A little pricey but the food is worth it.

Hush puppies

What started as a local place for crabs turned into research on places in Homestead that can fill my wife's and I crab fix. In comes Krab Kings a little out of the way family owned business that can teach the big guys how it should be done. First don't expect a large location with over the top decorations. What you have is a cozy family friendly place that treats you like your their best customer. You order (the sampler was our choice with some hush puppies) and they bring it to your table. We have the Cajun flavors with threes types of crabs corn eggs potatoes and a sausage that is off the chain. Now be ready to get busy with your order but it is worth it. Please support local businesses and see how it's supposed to worked. We will be back. Oh and I forget they have to go too.

Here is what we liked: * Immediate seating * greeted as soon as we walked in and service was friendly and helpful. * If you're traveling and want a home cooked meal, this was exactly that. * The chicken on the chicken Parmesan was cooked perfectly, covered with a nice golden brown melted cheese. * Two of our party got the baked fish- and all 6 of us tried it because they raved about how good it was. * The meatloaf was a good size portion. * The desserts looked amazing but we were sadly too full to try it. What could of been better: * The green beans were Just canned beans with little flavor or seasoning. * The collards greens also didn't have much flavor Wasn't a fancy place and the food wasn't award winning but it was good and it felt like genuine home cooked meal.

We got a sampler platter that included some croquetas, plantain chips, tamal, fried pork chunks, and fried shrimp. Zero complaints about anything! So so good. My main was the Sopa de Res, which was a hearty soup. The serving size was gigantic. I actually took most of it back with me and it made two more meals. There were lots of root vegetables, slow cooked beef still on the bone, a side of rice and corn. My dad got a huge Cuban sandwich that he also ate on for days and my mom had empanadas, which I finished off for a third meal. We also went back for pie. That was ok - it was extremely rich and kind of pricy at $13 a slice. I also tried their Cortadito and took it to go. Great coffee as well. Highly, highly recommend eating here. The decor is fun and the wait staff super nice and patient with all our questions. They also have a separate ice cream shop across the parking lot.

My husband ordered a Cuban sandwich with French fries cooked to perfection in clean oil, and I had grilled chicken (pechuga à la Blanche) with beans, rice, and sweet plantain, along with cilantro sauce. The portion sizes are very generous and we each had leftovers for another whole meal. We will definitely be back! I also appreciated that the suggested tip amount started at 15%. We left more, but too many restaurants have the suggested tip amounts much too high. Do look at the menu item pricing, as some dishes were $75+. It may have been due to portion size as well as ingredients.

I placed the order by phone, and it was ready right when I arrived for pickup. I loved that the food came in a nicely sealed, sturdy takeout bag with the receipt attached. Once we got home, the seafood boil smelled amazing. The crab was a great size, and the shrimp were tender and delicious. We ordered the Cajun seasoning mild, and it had a lot of flavor without being overpowering. Overall, I was very satisfied with my order, especially considering it was takeout. Way too sweet, couldn't taste the tea itself. The catfish was decent, although I could taste a bit of old oil in it. The coworker said the crab boil was good, I'll take her work for it. The service was kind of spotty, you could tell the server was assigned too many tables, he was all over the place or gone for long periods of time. The ambiance is kind of dated and tired but also very loud. Between the overbearing music and the roar of the crowd trying to talk over the music is wasn't very comfortable to have a meal here. They need to work on a better mix of service and ambiance.

To start they took at least 10-15 min to actually acknowledge us and let us know that they are really busy... we understand it's cinco de mayo but at least acknowledge us and tell us, don't leave us hanging!! When it came time to finally order our food they gave us the unfortunate news that they were out of carnitas tacos (which was the special and the reason we even went) so we ordered Al pastor tacos and carne asada fries. Now, the food.... Absolutely delicious and phenomenal as always! Definitely authentic and explosive flavors with each bite! But before we can even eat we realized they forgot to bring us the cilantro/onion side toppings so we had to remind them and wait another 5-10 min while our food was just getting cold to get the servers attention. The carne asada fries was something we tried for the first time today and I can't recommend it enough. Please order this when you come they were so goooood!!
