Very happy to check out this delicious restaurant! It is super clean in there and a good amount of tables to sit, they had a nice Christmas playlist for ambiance. The woman taking our order at the counter was very nice and helpful. We ordered the krab kingz loaded platter that came with 1.5lbs of snow crab, 1/2 lb of shrimp, sausages, corn, eggs, and potatoes. It was the perfect amount to split between two people (we each had 2 crab hands, 2 sausages, a corn, an egg, and a few potatoes). You could choose two sauces to mix in, we did the cajun butter and lemon pepper. It was very tasty, but we wish it had more of a flavor/spicy kick to it. We had to keep dipping our food back in the bucket to collect more sauce/ flavor. We also shared an order of lobster bites (deep fried pieces of lobster). We opted for the crab and shrimp boil which uncles a pound of snow crab , 3/4 pound shrimp plus sausage and potatoes. Now you have many butter choices so we had everything doused in original with sweet chili on the side . So tasty ... I will say they added bibs , rubber gloves and lots of napkin so keep us clean . Pasta primavera was light but still really satisfying. The veggies were fresh and still had a nice crunch. The olive oil and garlic base worked well without overpowering the dish. The parking lot and restaurant were empty when we arrived 5pm on a Sunday. Two 6 person parties and a single arrived after us to dine in. We ordered a large order to go: two broiled shrimp Alfredo, #2 in sweet chili butter, two fried shrimp platters, fried okra, corn and potato in original butter, conch fritters, corn nuggets, lemon pepper chicken wings and lobster bites. Our first meal at Krab Kings was not perfect, but pretty darn close! We ordered the "Krab King Sampler" which is packed with Blue Crab, Snow crab, Dungeness, shrimp potatoes, corn on the cob and eggs. We also ordered fried okra. The seafood was cooked to perfection. Nothing was over cooked or over/under seasoned. The fried okra was hot and the breading crispy. The reason I feel the overall experience was less than perfect is because the service could use improving. Even though we ordered the Sampler, we did not receive "crab crackers", or scissors/small fork etc. and when I asked for the crackers we were given 1 to share and, we had to ask for ranch for the okra which is a pretty standard inclusion. I didn't reduce my review for the service because the waitress was quite young, (probably in high school still), and even though these items had to be asked for, her reaction was very friendly and apologetic so I think that's a good opportunity for training and growth. The location is a little set back off US1 in a small strip plaza, but it's worth looking for. Inside was extremely clean and had ZERO seafood odor. I then tried the meat, thinking oh well, it's still crab, but the meat itself was very dry. I told the server about this, and was given some boiled blue crab as a replacement. In comes Krab Kings a little out of the way family owned business that can teach the big guys how it should be done. First don't expect a large location with over the top decorations. What you have is a cozy family friendly place that treats you like your their best customer. You order (the sampler was our choice with some hush puppies) and they bring it to your table. Stayed at a local hotel during our motorcycle ride to the Keys. We were hot, tired and hungry and looked for something close to walk to. Across the parking lot we could see the sign for this restaurant, score. We were warmly greeted by the staff and you walk to counter to make you order. They then bring your food to your table. This is a small family owned seafood restaurant. While waiting for food, various servers would come by to refill our drinks. I had the small fried fish platter (boiled and broiled also available) made up of two large pieces of snapper and 10 large shrimp, delicious! Our friend (not a seafood lover) had a chicken alfredo, yes they have it, and she said it was awesome. A wonderful young lady named Augie stopped to check on us. Her family owns the business and told us that they first opened just before Covid hit. They barely survived closure and restricted reopening. They apparently are doing better now since they were quite busy with a large local following. With the great tasting food with large servings along with good prices, I anticipate that they will continue to do well. If you are ever in the area, this is a must stop for some good food. I wanted to try seafood which is a known obvious in Florida. Found really good reviews of Krab Kingz. The location is pretty easy to find, we were greeted by 2 servers who seemed very friendly. We mostly ordered sides cause platters were huge and we were a party of 2 only. 3* for a whole lot of reasons: Cajun fried rice was too salty. Okra fries had a stale taste cause of the oil being used again and again. Shrimp and cat fish was just deep fried with no flavor. I would expect a different batter that adds on to shrimp and catfish. Lastly, I ordered calamari by error (totally on me!) I immediately when back to cancel in 5 minutes realizing I wanted cat fish, not calamari. I asked for a refund which the girls on the counter said they couldn't since the manager wasn't around. I asked for another dish and they said they would have to charge me all over again since they couldn't adjust. I asked them to serve the dish to anyone but I wouldn't take it. Its NOT on the girls, they apologized and were very polite. But I am confused with the policy, yes cancellations shouldn't be encouraged but if its a genuine error you cannot go around being high and mighty about your policies.
