    Soup for someone else

Ordered to go that took 45 mins to cook. Waited in the car only to receive a different order. We paid $60 plus tip but received a $38 worth of food- no lobster with different sauce) + soup I think) We only realized when we got home (30mins drive). We called right away to let them know and apparently they are aware we didnt get the correct order. They wanted us to drive back to get our correct food. (Are they going to pay foe our gas? I doubt) We basically paid more for the food we DIDNT want and also have been inconvenienced. Imagine that! No solution provided. Definitely needs more training -all employees up to management. This error can be prevented with proper training or hiring the correct employees. Food is good though. If you can tolerate subpar customer service and willing to pay more than what you get then you should be fine.

Empty restaurant but dirty tables everywhere

Empty restaurant but no servers. Food over cooked and rubbery. Not worth it. Left Google review and they have the audacity to ask if we made a reservation. A reservation in the middle of the day, during their happy hour with no other patrons. Dirty tables everywhere.

First time stopping in on a Saturday evening. My husband has been extremely curious about this place in recent weeks. We were greeted promptly and our party of 3 was immediately sat. It was nice seeing the layout as the same. However, now there is a nautical theme coupled with old license plates and license plate stickers. Our waitress, Shay greeted us and asked for drink orders. Unfortunately we hadn't received a drink menu. She brought over a paper printout and told us this page of the menu was "on order". We just went with it. I opted for a Mai Tai. I will say it wasn't bad. You could actually taste the alcohol which is always a plus. We weren't really feeling much like seafood bags so opted for crab cakes, calamari, chicken tender basket (my son), catfish basket, and a fried oyster basket w/Sweet Potato Fries. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was fresh. The items were seasoned well and the only complaint was that my husband's fries were overdone. I could see coming back for something casual.

The staff took amazing care of us as we blasted open the Treme compound and dove in with hungry bellies! They were patient kind and thoughtful in their approach despite the time and late hours. Thank you lots to them!

It was a fantastic experience on a Thursday night, superb service and great food. We had a birthday party, the owners came out, greeted us and treated us very generously.

Service was amazing as always, and we never had to ask for anything. We tried a few appetizers: calamari, bacon, truffle fries and salads. All our steaks and sides were cooked perfectly, though we felt the steaks could have been seasoned more. We had filets and a strip. Unfortunately, it just does not feel like the same place anymore. First, the addition of high tops really changes the atmosphere. What once felt upscale and classic now leans more "sports bar with expensive steaks." Maybe that is just me, but part of the appeal was the elegance and experience. Then came the steaks. We ordered three expensive steaks medium, and before they even came out, the waiter realized the kitchen heard "well done." We politely asked for it to be corrected before the food hit the table. Somehow, one still arrived well done anyway. Thankfully, someone at the table took one for the team and ate it, but when dinner runs around $600, you hope the steaks and the temperatures are both memorable for the right reasons. At one point, a side dish was dropped on the floor. Accidents happen, no big deal. But we did have to gently clarify that yes, we would still like the dish... just preferably not the "farm to floor" version. The disappointing part is that I had promised a fantastic worker and his amazing wife a really special night out. This unfortunately was not it. I genuinely hope this was just an off night, because this place used to set the standard. For now though, we will probably try another steakhouse next time.

I called to let them know, and the young male cashier who answered the phone acted like I was bothering him. He said he would "go ask the manager what to do," put me on hold, and then hung up on me. When I called back, he hung up again without saying anything. So I drove up there -- even though I didn't really have the time my because fiancé recently had surgery on his leg so I'm taking care of him-- and yet things got even worse. In person, the same cashier cut me off while I was speaking, told me to my face that I was wrong, and said he had already checked the order (which clearly wasn't true). When I tried to explain, he got loud, threw my receipt on the floor, and kept arguing with me in front of other customers. His tone, attitude, and behavior were unbelievably disrespectful and unprofessional. Thankfully, the manager stepped in, stayed calm, and offered to make the missing items for me -- which I appreciated but while speaking with him the cashier would interject with rude, condescending and callous remarks, trying to continue the argument. The cashier placed the bag on the counter and refused to even acknowledge me. He just stared away like I wasn't standing there. The manager saw this too, and ended up moving him to the back room and handing me the food himself. My little sister was also disrespected when she came in to pick up our initial order. He would say "I can't really help you" and would walk away to sit on his phone and put his feet up on the counter. How are you the cashier manning the counter and can't give someone their order?. He gave the same response to another lady as well. We usually go to the Lee's Seafood Boil in Solon. The food is amazing there and the customer service is some of the best I've ever had. While the one on Lee Rd is the exact opposite and they're extremely greasy in comparison. We will never be returning to the Lee Rd location and will forever stick with Lee's In Solon. Manager: 4/5 - respectful, professional, and made it right. Cashier: 0/5 - rude, dishonest, disrespectful, and completely out of line. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. No one deserves to be treated like that. I won't be coming back unless serious changes are made -- starting with that cashier.

I decided to give Goodfellas a try, for the first time, since it's close to my parents' crib. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. The balance was off. There was way too much BBQ sauce, so much so that it was more like drinking a sandwich than eating one. And on the other hand, there was hardly any cole slaw at all. I actually poked around the sandwich with my fork to see if the slaw was buried underneath the fries. Each ingredient, on its own, was good. The bun was good. The sausage was tasty and cooked with a snap, and the fries were pretty good. The sauce was decent (and "plentiful"), but unfortunately, I can't tell you about how the slaw tasted (see above). Too much of one element, and another was ignored. I also ordered a side of hush puppies, and although the breading was crispy and seasoned really well, the cornmeal interior was undercooked and doughy. I'm thinking I caught Goodfellas on a bad day. Maybe the next time I'm in town, I'll give 'em another shot. But for this trip, I'm gonna have to hit another joint to satisfy my Polish Boy jonze before I go back to LA.

Ima sucker for good old fashioned customer service. The service alone would make me come back but baby the food. Let me give y'all my experience. Let me start. I saw a post on Facebook and thought to myself I would love to try this place. So one Saturday evening after attending Fevers Candlelight Tribute to Coldplay we decide to give it a try. When we arrived we wanted to know where to park, so we called the restaurant and one of the owners said he would come and valet our car for us! Total shock. We get inside and the vibe and the ambiance was amazing! There was a couple inside enjoying their date. The candles were lit and smelled fantastic by the way. It just gave my husband and I an overall relaxed feeling. The decor was beautiful and it reminded me of some of the great jazz spots in Washington DC. Alice's to be particular. The fireplace was lit and the design choices were carefully crafted. The husband (owner) did a great job of orating the history of the location and the contributions his parents made to both the US military and the local Dentistry community here in northeast Ohio. While the wife (Owner/Chef) did a terrific job of informing us of how the food would be prepared and what flavours and notes were present in each dish and how they would compliment each other. We just live a good cocktail and a story. Speaking of cocktails we tried the "Doli Stoli" a delicious cocktail made with Vodka and infused pineapple. Delectable. I did not eat the appetiser (allergy) which was the Chicken & Shrimp Gumbo consisting of a Rich roux trinity cajun spices and rice. I have to assume it was delicious since I didn't even get to take a picture because the husband was devouring it. I enjoyed the Zuppa Toscana; a tasty soup comprising of Rustic potatoes in savory parmesan broth with house turkey sausage & spinach. I wanted to ditch my manners and lick the bowl but I didn't. The husband enjoyed the Fish & Chips which was a delicious platter of Beer battered Cod filets, crispy fries & creamy slaw w/ house tartar sauce. I don't even know where to begin. Everything was so delicious and fresh. A true burst of flavour exploding in your mouth. I will say this the overall experience was other worldly, but you know the God was good when you get home with leftovers and eat everything without warming it up. Insane. This place is what this community needed. We have the gift of folk who are rooted in community, experts in their field, and actually love what they do and guess what; it shows in their food!

Being nearby on a day off at lunch time I figured I would give Columbo Room a try. Parked in the small lot in the back and entered through the back door, the place is smaller then I thought, just wide enough for a bar on one side and tables on the other side. Columbo Room is your classic old school dive bar; dark with the bar taking up most of the North side of the room, with a small kitchen area next to it. The main feature is the large mirror behind the bar. The bartender was friendly welcoming me and bantering with the regulars. The menu is two sided pretty much your standard soul food influenced with an extra page of specials that include wings and various philly sandwiches. On the advise of the bartender I ordered the catfish fillet dinner. The dinner was 2 large catfish fillets fried with a nice breading, served with a large portion of fries, a small cup of slaw and a couple of pieces of bread. The catfish was excellent, moist and slightly sweet with a great flavor and the breading was perfectly seasoned. The fries were nicely fried and then seasoned on the grill so that they were tasty as can be. The bread and slaw were ok, enough to use to make a sandwich with one of the fillets. Overall a good sized meal for 12.99, prepared fresh. Both the catfish and the fries were extra tasty since Columbo Room is not afraid to season its food. I will be back to eat at Columbo Room again, I want to try the Shrimp Philly Sandwich and will certainly get the catfish again. Nothing fancy, but a great place to get some good solid, well prepared and seasoned food. If you are in the area give it a try.
