Let me start with the receptionist they are always welcoming, friendly, personable and nice, but then again that's because Dr. Healey is such a pleasant, professional, and kind man. Dr. Healy always remains the same and he is always genuinely nice, and understanding, and he explains to you what's he doing when working on your teeth. They are all really nice, and just the best. I have my clear corrects and everything is going great, and the dental hygienist is really cool, as well as the RDA she is amazing and nice and really fun!!! I'm so glad I left my previous dentist and switched to Dr. Healy. My husband tried to convince me for a long time to switch. I shouldn't have had doubts. I should've listened a long time ago. It was one of the best decisions I made. I had my first appointment yesterday. I inquired a week ago and heard from them the same day. I've always hated going to the dentist. I've always felt nervous and anxious. Dr. Healy and his staff made me feel so comfortable and for once, I didn't mind being in the dental office. Cheri was super nice and pleasant. Very attentive, efficient, and compassionate. She made conversations and made me feel comfortable being there. That's when the great first impression began. Jesus made my teeth look and feel squeaky clean. I'm sure my teeth were a pain to work on, and he did a wonderful job. Carrying a conversation here and there also helped with the anxiety. I also didn't feel a lot of pain and discomfort! Wendy was also pleasant and very patient explaining my treatment plans, working with numbers, and making my follow up appointments. She was able to squeeze me in the next day (today) for my first treatment! I can't praise Dr. Healy's staff enough! Dr. Healy took the time to explain my issues and what needed to be done. I've gotten used to just hearing what treatments I need. Dr. Healy made me understand better. He even brought out a book with images which made it more understandable. He was honest about everything. I could tell that he cares a lot about his patients and what is best for them, not his pocket. He figured out the main reason I was there and came up with a plan right away. I would only see my previous dentists in the exam room once, max is twice. They never took the time to get to know me. Dr. Healy did that. I have no regrets switching. He surely is the best! I just need to tell everyone how much I love this office. I worked in the dental field for a while and know how much people dislike the dentist. Nobody really ever says how much they look forward to it. I contacted Dr. Healy's office to set up an appointment. It had been a couple years since my last appointment at a previous doctor. They scheduled an appointment that worked with my schedule and were polite and helpful on the phone. Check in the day of was easy. You always have to fill out paperwork, but it was easy and straightforward. Once I was in the Doctor introduced himself and his RDA. They were both great. I'm not one who is scared of dental work, but if I was I would've been put at ease quickly. They were knowledgable and considerate of my concerns. They also didn't beat me up about not being to the dentist in a while. Dr. Healy explained everything he was doing and why. After the exam he told me what I needed to get done and his staff put together a treatment plan. Very easy to understand. I went in for treatment and the level of care and consideration for my nervousness (again was never scared of the dentist, but also never had cavities before) was top notch. They did the work in less time than they had planned and got me on my way. Final note is my bite is perfect. For those who have had work done before know that sometimes a filling or crown can change your bite and be uncomfortable. My mouth feels clean and my bite is as if it hasn't changed at all. THE best of the best. Dr. Healy and his team of professionals are truly the best that you can get. YOU MUST be in their care. When living in the Bay Area, I routinely went to Dr. Healy. As someone who is particular about dental, and a patient with sensitive teeth, I want to make sure that I have great care. I have had multiple dentists and this team is fantastic. They always remember your preferences for treatment (i.e. warm water, sensitive teeth, fluoride, etc.) and certainly include a personal touch. When you enter into the practice, you are welcomed warmly, remembered, and feel like you are catching up with old friends. Everyone at the practice is friendly and professional. Dr. Healy has provided me with all dental cleanings, cavity work, fluoride treatments, and Clear Correct Orthodontics for the last three years. He carefully follows your case and makes sure to be thorough in all treatments. He always wants to do what is best for you. Even after moving out of the state, I flew back to Dr. Healy to finalize care with my orthodontics treatment. He and his team take pride in his work, and continued treatment to guarantee that the end product was up to both of our standards. This is an update, again this dentist swoops in to restore a cracked amalgam filling done horribly by Richmond dental. Which another dentist suggests just throwing a crown over (if you don't know, crowns are very expensive) but Dr. Healy again reassured me that the filling can be removed and redone. I'm so grateful that dentists like him still exist. For over 2 decades now I've had the worst experiences with dentists and would go days without sleep prior to dental checkups and appointments from the anxiety caused by dentists, visits to Dr. Healy are now the exception. You will sense the positive and calming atmosphere in their office. He has restored my faith in dentists but he will remain the only one I trust. My new regular dentist breaks things down so well and really makes you feel supported

I visited this place because of the prior yelp reviews. Upon first arrival, they are wonderful and welcoming. We created a dental plan to follow which included deep cleaning, fillings, and filing. I began going there at the beginning of last year, and every single appointment was check to see if the deep cleaning was still clean! They want to swindle your insurance and charge you out of pocket without actually doing any work!! After I reviewed the charges from them, and coincided them with my insurance carrier, I realized their trick. I brought this to the attention of their office, and their horrible record keeper, as well as Healy himself would not own up to their error!! I was referred to Dr Healy through a family member after having complained about increasing sensitivity from avoiding the dentist for two years due to the poor dental work I had received throughout the years from my previous doctor. Well I wish I had opened my mouth sooner because In two cleanings the sensitivity was reduced and now years later it's all but vanished. Dr. Healys' office is clean, organized and the staff is very friendly. They explain any procedure in a matter of fact and easy to understand language and work hard to customize your appointment to fit your budget and scheduling needs. Shopping for a quality dentist can be scary, because you don't know you've had bad work until you've had it, and like having a bad math or English teacher having a bad dentist can sour your relationship with something that's pretty important to your wellbeing. The team always explains what they are doing, what they are watching and when you need to take care of something. He told me for instance to wait a bit to get a crown since I was unemployed and told me I could do it in 6 to 8 months. So he is human too and aware of his patients' budgets. I used to go to Dr. Healy, after he took over the practice from my previous dentist - YEARS ago. Eventually, I switched jobs and he was no longer covered by my insurance. After going to another dentist I realized that some of the stuff Dr. Healy had done was more aggressive than needed. I relocated here from Chicago where for 35 years I had an extraordinary dentist. I saw two very highly rated East Bay dentists but was disappointed in both. They were competent but not exceptional so I decided to save my dental work for trips back to Chicago. Then in the middle of the COVID lockdown, I had an immediate need for dental care. I read yelp reviews carefully and made a number of initial inquiries at various highly rated dental offices and Dr. Healy's office stood out. Wendy, his receptionist, was warm, friendly and patient. Their costs were reasonable. So still skeptical, I started working with his office and 6 months, several visits and one tooth extraction later am so grateful that I found Dr. Healy and his staff. They have been consistently caring, patient, and professionally first rate. Dr. Healy is clearly not in this to maximize patient load and profits. His office is relaxed but well managed. And Dr. Healy has impressed me with his experience, knowledge and kindness. In brief -- first class treatment, competence, caring and expertise at moderate cost. It doesn't get better read more

Before my old dentist retired, I thought his solo operation was the way of dentistry. That's how it was when I grew up in the 1960's. Now I know how proactive and painless modern dentistry is. Gum surveys... specialized dental hygienists... prioritized treatment plans.... Dr. Healy and his team have brought my dental care into the future. With Dr. Healy and his staff working for me I know I receive the best, modern, comprehensive, care for my dental dollars. I wrote the above review about a year and a half ago and it all still applies. One visit and you know this doctor and his staff are about you and the best dental care that can be provided. In this time of many dentists not accepting dental insurance for payment, Dr. Healy and staff continue to battle for me with my dental insurer. I love Dr. Healy! I've been going to his office for as long as I can remember - probably for as long as I've had teeth. My whole family has gone to Dr. Healy for many years. He is really nice and very skilled and knowledgeable, and so are all his hygenists. They are also great at helping young kids feel comfortable (even if they have to get a shot). I have always felt confident with the treatment and advice I've gotten from him (I wish I could say the same for some of my other family physicians....). I'm moving to Colorado for grad school in a couple of weeks, but I am going to come back to Dr. Healy for my dental appointments on school breaks. everyone dreads the dentist but this is one dentist office that you can actually look forward to visiting (minus the obvious "torture" involved in the average cleaning haha). The staff here is SO nice, they great you with huge smiles and are so friendly remembering who you are and what was going on in your life last time they saw you. I love Dr. Healy; he is an amazing dentist !!! I have been going to him for about 5 years. He and his team of hygienists are very friendly and always do excellent and thorough work. He is very good at making dental work quick and as pain-free as possible without lowering the quality of the work. They are also very helpful and attentive when it comes to insurance and billing and will help you get the best dental work possible while still remaining in your budget. Just had a bridge replaced with added veneers and am thrilled with the outcome. They are very helpful with insurance billing matters as well. A year ago my family moved to the local area from Oklahoma. I have been seen by dentists since the early 1950's. Looking for a local dentist for the family was not easy being new to the community. Yelp was very helpful in narrowing down the choices. Today was my fourth visit to Dr. Healy's office. Prior three visits included; new patient exam, cleanings, filling replacements, and a comprehensive plan of attack for needed crowns and additional filling repair. Seems my teeth are getting older along with me. Today I was prepped for a gold crown and given a good fitting temporary. I am amazed at the quality of dentistry unknown to me from past experience.
