I just had the worst experience with Dr.Ashley, the front desk receptionist was nice, respectful and willing to work with me so I figured the doctor would be the same way. After my deep cleaning the doctor just got up walked away and said I can leave, I literally stood up and looked around because I had blood coming out of my gums still and I felt blood in my face rolling down. I asked one of her dental assistants if I could get a gauge or something to help me with cleaning up the bleeding and all she said was go to the bathroom. I went to the bathroom and as I was cleaning myself up i thought about how unsanitary this is, I literally washed my blood away in their bathroom sink that patients use. I grabbed a regular paper towel to help with my bleeding gums and left. I'm pregnant so I didn't want to cry and cause a scene but I've never in my life experienced such neglect. Unfortunately I have to go back the next day due to my deep cleaning being done half one side half another and I really wish I was able to cancel BUT per their "policy" if I don't show up I will be charged. Ashley has been my dentist for a few years now and my teeth are much better than when I first started. She is very straight forward on what she thinks is best for your teeth. I'd been great with my teeth before covid 19, but after that I've needed some serious help from Ashley. The whole team works great with my insurance to make sure I can fit in crowns, root canals and the extraction of teeth. At my age of 48, I have to make sure my teeth are in good hands. Ashley has made my feel that way. The team has also lead me to great specialists, with more detailed work. I definitely recomend!! read more

Approximately a year ago scheduled a cleaning, general checkup. Upon arrival no mention of cleaning in spite of my request. Dr. Ho did check my teeth every so quickly. The concern, and reason I will not return, is the dental chair was titled almost on my head. It was unnerving and my first experience on having to near stand on my head. Very uncomfortable but may have been purposely positioned to accommodate Dr. Ho. I mentioned to her and the front off upon leaving Dr. Ho must not swivel the dental chair so extreme as to be menacing and in my humble opinion dangerous. Think about it, if they were cleaning my chances of choking were very very likely. I did not receive any kind of understanding but the take it or leave it attitude. Front office personnel could also learn effective customer interaction. Is this what dental schools are teaching now? Sub standard care and dangerous with little to no understanding. read more

I have been going to this dentist for a few years now and overall my experience has been pretty good. The issue is I feel like when I'm doing exceptionally well and keeping my teeth clean and flossing, I feel it's not acknowledged. The service that I get from the hygienist is not very good most of the time what I mean by that is for example, I had x-rays done, and when the hygienist was putting the equipment in my mouth, she was scratching my gum tissue and could not seem to get it right. I went in for a cleaning and I was in there for an hour and 45 minutes, which is extremely too long at the dentist office for a cleaning. The dentist told me that I needed deep cleaning in my back teeth, although I have been thoroughly brushing my teeth and flossing etc... at that point I started feeling like she was just trying to make money never anything positive. Every timeI go to the dentist it is always something that needs to be done which is costing me extra money and my insurance. I'm not sure if I'm gonna stay at this Dentist or not because of the most recent experiences on the last few visits, they have not been very great. I'm starting to feel like it's about making money for that Office. For over the last two years, I have been thoroughly taking care of my teeth, brushing, flossing, gum mouthwash, fluoride mouthwash, using tartar toothbrush, brushing with Oral-B, but still she says I need deep cleaning, which does not make sense to me. This office sucks and I never come back this office again! I came the office for teeth cleaning, I walked out with still full mouth of stains. I called the office and talked to the dentist to request a re-do the cleaning to remove all stains in my teeth and all I get from the dentist answered me "that's all I can do"! The staff at this office was very friendly and the services were professional. The reason I will not go back is the doctor is overly aggressive in her assessments. I have had relatively good oral health for years, with only one crown that was a result of neglecting a cavity 20 years ago when I was 19 and thought I'd live forever. But when Dr. Ho examined me, she said I had inflamed gums with pockets up to 7 mm. She also recommended replacing the crown that was only two years old. I agreed, as I was not thrilled with my last dentist and decided it was probably best. Six months later I am informed I need a descaling deep clean not covered by insurance. It seemed I needed to spend $800 each time I opened my mouth. I sought a second opinion and without any prompting the new dentist said my deepest gum pocket was 4mm and was normal for middle age. I asked the head dentist to also take a look and he said I had good oral health and could see I had good practices. The only thing they suggested was a night guard to help with stress clenching. My conclusion is that Dr. Ho is just too cautious for my taste and I am not willing to spend the money to chase every shadow of dental concern. I'm middle age and I cannot expect the teeth of a 19 year old... actually I think my teeth are better now that I think of it. read more

Every time I come there are new dental hygienists who are not particularly good and make the experience unpleasant. The only good thing about this office is Nikki the front office person. Bad bad bad don't fall for their trap they will charge you in the beginning 72 for X-rays and after that they will try to milk money from you after I've waited more then an hour to see the doctor won't recommend to anyone and more then hope that you won't did the mistake I did. I came with coupon for mouth cleaning for 99$ and they try to tell me I need to do deep clean so they can't do just the normal cleaning so they just charged me 72 $ on X-ray that took more then an hour and half for the doctor to come look on my teeth . I recently visited Dr Ho's dental office because I needed dental cleaning. When I called to make an appointment I was told that my visit would cost $72, this would cover X-rays, exam and cleaning which I was asked to pay before even seen. After reviewing the X-rays, Dr Ho said that I needed deep root cleaning due to gum disease (I have never had this problem before), upper front bridge replacement because it did not look good and that it was poorly done. So after paying $72, now the deep root cleaning charge of $1287 also needed to be paid. The replacing of the front teeth bridge and one veneer would of cost me $5618 more!!! I have decided to not ever return to this office because their prices are extremely outrageous!! I am retired without dental insurance. I am unable to pay these type of prices!!! Making an appointment as a new patient was very easy and they were able to verify my insurance coverage before I arrived. I arrived on time for my appointment at 4pm and filled out several forms. I was called back at 4:15pm and was given mouthwash. I asked for panoramic x-rays to be taken instead of the bitewings anticipating my need for wisdom teeth removal. The assistant had to ask the receptionist who came back to tell me their policy is that bitewing x-rays are required for the check up and cleaning, and they could do a pano but because my insurance only covers one or the other, I'd have to pay $72 out of pocket for the bitewings and they would bill the insurance for the panos. I explained that I had bitewing x-rays done the weekend prior (mandatory military dental screening) where the I was told that my wisdom teeth needed removal and that my main goal was to get a referral for that. After some back and forth they agreed to do just a pano with no bitewings so no cleaning or exam. When that was done, I sat in the exam chair until after 5pm before the dentist came by just to tell me that they'd be able to refer me. Overall, I got what I needed but service and timeliness was lacking. read more

I've been seeing this dentist for years now and I come back regularly when necessary. In the past, I got my braces procedure performed here. I still come back for routine teeth cleanings and x-rays too. Everyone here is really nice and knows what they're doing. As long as you schedule an appointment ahead of time the entire procedure is accomplished thoroughly and timely. Ive recently just came into my own insurance (fully covered here) with blue shield and even though i have moved to concord. I could not find a better dental office than here. She was very patient in trying to locate the pain in my jaw. She also gave me options as to what can be done to root out the problem. I would give a less than one star if I could. I went to this office two years ago for the new patient offer of an exam & cleaning for $89. I left without a cleaning and an unethical estimate for $11K worth of fillings, deep cleaning and a mouth guard I did not need. I went to another dentist this week and received a clean bill of dental health. I have zero cavities and no gum inflammation requiring anything more than a regular cleaning even after four years of not having a professional cleaning. This office is not to be trusted. read more

My experience with Dr. Ho was worse than awful. I would not recommend this dentist to my worst enemy. My parents found her for their dental work, so I followed their lead. The office was local to the Hercules area, and the flexibility of securing an early weekday or weekend appointment was what initially lured me in further. The reception area and dental equipment is all new and I will even admit pretty modern with computers that presented your personal dental history instantly on the screen. All seemed so great. Then my exam started, and everything seemed to go downhill from there. As a first time patient, the standard full mouth x-ray commenced. The dental assistant prepping me for each x-ray had no regard for my comfort level as the films were haphazardly placed in my mouth to pinch my gums! Even worse, she was missing the x-ray shots and retaking each section of my mouth 2-3 times. Uber exposure to radiation...ahh! I was feeling so man handled, I had to request another person finish the job. Thankfully, they obliged my request and the x-rays were completed more precisely and at a much faster rate. The cleaning wasn't any smoother with Dr. Ho running the show. There was more disregard to my comfort level with no explanation of what was being performed. As I thought I may have been overly sensitive, I did return for two additional visits - another cleaning and even a tooth filling. Unfortunately, my first impression remains intact. On my second and third visits I continued to endure extreme discomfort and manhandling with my mouth...which is great if you like it rough, but I tend to flock toward the more gentle method when it comes to my oh so sensitive teeth. DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST. Please, PLEASE do not let Dr. Ho touch your teeth. I had never had a cavity in my life but needed my teeth cleaned and saw her ad in Marketplace magazine. Sure, why not? So she cleaned my teeth and showed me on x-rays that had 4 cavities. First in my life! Well, I figured it would be a little bit of drilling and filling and that would be it. Didn't seem too serious. When I walked out my mouth was a MESS. Literally jagged edges all over the place. I knew she had seriously messed me up, and I immediately asked my friends for dentist recommendations (which I should have done to begin with). I went in to the new dentist, and when they x-rayed my mouth it revealed that not only had she taken HUGE chunks out of my teeth, she had filled them in leaving air bubbles in one tooth and two of my teeth fused together. The dentist called her office and had her send over the original x-rays, and when he looked at them he said there was no way she should have taken so much material off. He had to strip out all of her work and re-do everything from scratch. Unfortunately she'd damaged two of my teeth so bad that I ended up having to have root canals on two of my teeth. Two years and a few thousand dollars later, I'm still kicking myself for not checking Yelp first EDIT: Regarding the comment from the dentist before, this is ABSURD. When I pointed out that my fillings were jagged - she literally could not get floss between two of my teeth because they were glued together with filling material - she suggested I go home and "live with it" for a while and then come back to have it fixed. An x-ray at the next dentist, who took me in for an emergency appointment the next day, confirmed not only that she had fused two teeth together but that another filling had an air bubble inside of it. I was introduced by my coworker to visit My Dentist for teeth cleaning. Staff at the front desk was really nice and friendly. She had setup an appointment for me and also had checked in with me the day before my appointment to remind me. I had asked her to contact my insurance to make sure my insurance would cover the cost of my visit. This was very professional to me. I had my teeth deep cleaned by Ashley Ho. I had the best cleaning ever because she was real delicate with the instruments. I hate needles but she made sure that I was comfortable and also spoke to me to distract me from being nervous and feeling any pain. Excellent work performed every time I had visited. I recently began coming here and the service is great! I never have to wait longer than 5 minutes to get attended, most of the time I get taken back right away. Ho DMD. Dr. Leong is truly amazing! I had some pretty bad experiences with past dentist but Dr. L made me feel super comfortable and most importantly - all of my procedures were painless!
