Have heard about Craig's multiple times in the past since it's a hot spot for celebrities and finally got to try it last night. It's a very popular spot right on Melrose so it's always busy - last night was a Monday and it was packed. Came here as a party of 5 and we ordered what felt like the entire menu and everything was great. The bread is insane and a must try. Also would recommend the chicken parm, vodka rigatoni and the chocolate chip cookies which are fresh, warm and perfectly baked. Service was great until we got our food and then we couldn't track down our server for a while. My boss made a joke to him and when our cookies came out he included a complimentary chocolate bread pudding which was both delicious and a nice touch. Overall great experience and would come again. Lots of 2 hour parking in the area as well as paid valet. Also I assume it's pretty tough to get a reservation due to its popularity so plan ahead. read more

My friend highly recommended this place but from the reviews I was nervous to try it. There is no street parking just valet. Inside it is dimly lit and moody. The restaurant has a tiny bar near the front which was packed with patrons. Service was really good. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I appreciated how attentive he was. I started my dinner off with a glass of sparkling Italian wine and the ahi tuna tartare. The ahi tuna was very bland for $27 appetizer. The wine was great and I love that they bring you fresh buttery bread, complimentary. The bread was probably better than the meal! My friend ordered the glam pasta and loved it. It was Christmas Eve and my cousin invitied us to join them for dinner. Heard this place was popular. We had reservations and quickly shown to our table. Restaurant is classy and people tend to dress up. Somebody mentioned it was a place to be seen in Beverly Hills. We ordered calamari and grilled artichokes. Calamari is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sauces bring it to another level. The artichokes was grilled well. It's a whole artichoke cut in half. It was also very good... you just need to know how to eat it. For mains, I ordered the short rib with risotto. The short rib was so tender and juicy. The rissott (think it was mushroom) was a perfect complement to the dish. Enough said. Try it! My wife ordered the clam show spaghetti. It was delicious. We ordered a number of desserts. The Tinx Hot Girl Sundae stood out. It has a number of vegan ice cream scoops with assorted flavors and sprinkles all over. Always wanted to try Craigs since I heard so much about it and I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. The bread was absolutely delicious. It tasted like a garlic pita? Not sure exactly what type of bread it was but it was incredible! The margherita pizza had so much flavor, the sauce itself was really good and so was the cheese. The pasta was cooked perfectly and also had amazing flavor. For drinks the margaritas were out of this world! The bread pudding was an excellent dessert and seemed to be very popular as I saw many people ordering it. The service was fantastic and the hostess was genuinely so nice that I would definitely return as I felt very welcomed by her. I don't understand why people like this restaurant. I think it's highly overrated. It has a decent atmosphere, and the service was good, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered a pasta dish that was incredibly salty. Everyone else at the table said their dishes were mediocre. We were there to celebrate a birthday so we got their elaborate sundae. It looked quite pretty and came with a sparking candle, but it looked way better than it tasted. It was all vegan, and definitely tasted like it. It made for a nice picture. read more

My opinion of Craig's is mixed based on two visits. The first visit was wonderful. We were warmly welcomed. The service was spot on and the food was excellent, with the branzino and chicken parm standouts. On the second visit everything seemed off. The wekcome was perfunctory, and the service was less attentive. While the rib eye was outstanding, other dishes were disappointing. So the next time I decide to spend $100+ per person (not including drinks), I'll be dining elsewhere. read more

unless you're white, older, and look like you have money, don't expect to be treated with the same level of customer service here. we had a reservation (which they confirmed the day of), but when we arrived, the two older men in suits at the host stand told us we'd still need to wait. i get it--it was a busy night. we stood off to the side for 10-15 minutes as guests passed by giving us the up-and-down, which was already awkward. then a family of five walked in after us, and a booth table opened--guess who got seated right away? them. it was humiliating. i tried to brush it off, thinking maybe it was because we were a party of three, but i saw plenty of twos seated in the booths. the food? mid at best. definitely overpriced for what it was. honestly, olive garden's pasta has more flavor. the steak was decent, but the best thing we had was the flatbread it was soft, fluffy, and perfectly seasoned. what really saved the experience were the staff on the floor. the waitresses, bussers, and runners were lovely and treated us with kindness and professionalism. so while the front-of-house energy was giving elitist, the floor staff deserved every bit of our tip. read more

We decided to celebrate my wife's mother's 84th birthday at Craig's. The seats were somewhat awkward; as I think they setup another table to squeeze in guests. This was a reserved spot for a birthday celebration for 3 adults. The space could have been bigger; or we should have been moved. The ambiance was festive. Craig's has been known for celebrity sightings; we saw a couple, but didn't bother their meals. Our server took our order promptly. I asked about Moscato wine; She was very informative. She also told me the price for a glass.?????? Interesting, don't know if that was the norm to give out prices, or maybe she thought I couldn't pay? Only she knows. My meal consisted of the bone in rib-eye. It was cooked perfect. I had calamari as an appetizer. I ordered an Irish Coffee as the last drink choice. It was perfect. I went here to grab dinner with a friend. There is valet for $20 but it fills up fast so I had to do street parking which they had plenty of. It was definitely crowded so we ended up sitting at the bar. The service at the bar were still very attentive towards us and got our food and drinks order asap. Cozy spot, pride and ownership shows throughout. The Food was nothing to rave about, the ambiance is nice feel. The front hosts are a little pushy and not welcoming. Possibly the cater better to regulars more, I may be wrong but it's how we felt. Our server was very friendly and the owner came by and greeted us which was nice. Sometimes ownership is not to be blamed because workers are not as charismatic about their jobs. Many have told us it's a lovely place, but the drive may not be pleasant or convenient enough. Not sure what the hype is about Craig's. I live in the neighborhood and finally decided to go for lunch with my family. I don't even know where to begin with my review. There were SO many red flags. I'm going to begin with the service - horrible. Our female server was rude and judgmental. My party arrived first and I was running 10 minutes behind. They wanted to order appetizers first because my nephew was starving. She didn't allow it! Apparently, the entire party needed to be sat before anyone can place an order. They complained again and she hesitantly allowed it. Get this - we informed her that we wanted the big sundae with the sparkling candle (we saw the table next to us order it) for my mom's birthday. Her response, "Oh, that sundae is $50". First of all, we never asked her for the price. Second, her tone of voice was judgmental and assumed my family couldn't afford it. That all happened in the first 5 minutes before I arrived. When I arrived, the server came to our table and took our main order. She was extremely nice all of a sudden. What made us finally complain to the manager was when we informed her our drink order was incorrect she rudely walked off while we were still talking to her mid-sentence - like she couldn't be bothered. Who does that? She was Jekyll and Hyde the entire service. We ordered the fried calamari, tuna tartare, buffalo wing pizza, green goddess salad, classic wedge, chopped salad, pigs in the blanket, cheeseburger, rigatoni alla vodka, shrimp diavolo, and the vegan Bolognese. We ordered a lot of food and nothing was worth mentioning. To be treated poorly by the server left a bad taste in our mouth. We were excited to celebrate my mother's birthday but the vibe was killed instantly by the rude elitist server. I'll probably never come back here again. I still have a $50 gift card from the restaurant that I received from them for being their neighbor during the pandemic. Who wants it? Craig's is a West Hollywood classic, and a LA scene. My partner and I went just for the pure spectacle of it all, but actually were surprised by the tasty food. This spot is a favorite among the LA celeb crowd. In fact, I first heard about the restaurant through a friend who regularly dines here with one of his close celebrity friends. I was able to snag a 5PM reservation on a Saturday 2 days before (it was that or 10 pm). When I got there there were a few open metered spots right out front, but they do have valet for convenience and they even give you cookies! We were the first rezy to arrive and once we left the place was full! The table for 4 was a bit small but we made it work. For apps: artichoke was good, calamari was delicious and I liked the peppers on top, Caesar salad is a must if you like a fresh salad (they can chop it up for you). My entree was the salmon which was cooked perfectly and it had a side salad that I enjoyed. For additional sides, I had the Mac and cheese which is tasty but very rich so keep that in mind and the truffle fries which were a hit. We came to Craig's for the hype and the vegan options. And we left hyped and satisfied. I scored us a last minute reservation for 9:30pm on a Friday night. The only area available was on their patio... why would anyone avoid their patio?! It was amazing. It felt like we were indoors. It was warm, lovely, and very lively. I got the Vegan Chik'n Parm and it was absolutely divine. The pasta noodles and sauce were perfection, and the entree was crispy, cheezy, and so delightful. The entire experience was really fabulous. Our server was attentive even while extremely busy, and serving much needier tables than our own. Craig's is the kind of place where people CELEBRATE! You'll notice larger groups and sparklers in the desserts. We had fun trying to guess who was the celebrity at each table. I don't think we were ever successful, but there were definitely "vibes". Walked in at 9 minutes and they said oh our grace period is only 10 min now you have to make sure you only have an hour and 20 min ... what? It was my friend's birthday, we ordered a ton of food and even got the large ice cream desert even though we were only two people. We had waitresses and even the manager showing up leading up to the hour reminding us we have to leave soon, and then every 5 minutes after that. We didn't feel welcome and I felt like I made a bad decision on where to take my close friend for her birthday. It gets 2 stars because the food was good. I had a reservation on a Wednesday evening and it was just me and another friend. We had an appetizer, main course, and dessert. We finished dessert and had maybe a quarter glass of wine we were finishing. Just the rest of our glass, not a bottle or anything. I believe it was the manager, it wasn't our waiter, came over and in her words invited us to the bar so other people could sit down. I had a fantastic time at Craig's. I always heard this was the hot spot for everyone in LA and they weren't kidding. My sister and I had made an advanced reservation via phone for a Tuesday evening around 8pm and the restaurant was busy. When we arrived we were greeted right away by the friendly staff at the hostess stand. We were a little early and they let us know our table would be ready momentarily so we stuck around inside. About 5mins later we were seated. The restaurant has a real hustle and bustle vibe. Everyone is taking care of something and there is always someone nearby to ask for help or order more of something. The restaurant has a dark and cozy vibe and there is even a private room you can reserve for an additional cost if you need privacy. I can imagine many celebrities use this room for extra privacy. Our server was great, at the moment his name is escaping me but I'll surely update my review once I confirm. He made us feel comfortable and was super nice. Since I don't drink I ordered a mocktail mojito, it was pretty good. Our meal came with fresh bread that was good and our mains were the Tagliatelle Truffle Bolognese & Rigatoni Alla Vodka. They were delicious but the real star of the evening were the chocolate chip cookies. Wow these cookies were amazing! I loved they even offered almond milk, score! All in all this was a great dining experience, we even met the owner Craig himself. He was super nice and took the time to speak with us and asked how everything was. During our meal there were two celebrity sightings while dining but out of privacy for them I will not mention their names. This adds an additional perk of the restaurant if you're looking for that LA experience. Wow. So I came once before and just landed for a mommies/sons weekend in LA. Unfortunately our whole flight my son was complaining about a bellyache and vomiting. I called Craig's to let them know I'd like to cancel as my son wasn't doing so well. There's a $75/person cancellation fee on OpenTable and I figured we were f*cked. Whoever I spoke to was very understanding and let us cancel with no issues. I was SO excited to show the boys the giant ice cream sundae... but alas tonight wasn't going to work. It was my husband's birthday so I treated him to a fancy meal at Craig's! Paparazzi outside, we put our purses over our faces and dashed inside! The place was packed! Saw a "real housewife " husband and daughter as well as agents, tv producers and lots of wannabes. Has the look and feel of a steak house. The music was cool old school rock. Loved it! But the food was the main attraction! We started with calamari appetizer which was very good. Sliced banana peppers garnished and really made the dish tasty. For the mains, I had spaghetti with clams and my husband had the filet mignon. Oh boy, both were just spectacular! I highly recommend both! A delicious dinner in a fun part of town. West Hollywood is always entertaining and tonight being Grammys night it was especially lively with a few celebrities dining in tonight as well. I know it's known as a celebrity hotspot, a paparazzo was literally out front when we left and as we dined, but personally I don't care about or go anywhere for celebrities so I was here for the food specifically. We were able to find parking a block away for a 6PM Sunday dinner, but this area can get quite hard to find a space depending on the day and time. Our server Seth was very attentive and did a great job. This is the sort of place that people know all the employees by name, there were a lot of regulars dining in tonight as well. They have a full bar on the east side of the restaurant and a lot of tables and booths on the west side. I have heard that they some of the best Chicken Parmesan in town so I wanted to try and see how good it is compared to Dan Tana's. I would say it's very close and easily probably my second favorite in LA. We started off with the Green Goddess Salad, which was terrific and packed with flavor. We also ordered a personal favorite of mine: the Grilled Artichoke. The horseradish aïoli with it was the perfect addition. For our entrées we chose the Chicken Parmesan, which comes with a side of pasta, and also the Truffle Tagliatelle. Both were terrific, and we both would order them again. Finally for dessert we ordered the Butterscotch Pudding and it went quickly and also came with a few butterscotch cookies. Overall a bit expensive but seriously delicious. They have a lot of great options on the menu and I definitely plan to be back in the future. I would recommend it to anyone for any occasion.
