    Blood in vomit

Dr Jones and staff are completely incompetent They don't listen to their patients I brought my dog in for suspected poisoning Jones dismissed that and diagnosed my dog with lymes then after 2 weeks of still not eating, diagnosed simple gastritis My dog hadn't eaten for a month, was throwing up having black stool which I took in and lost 30lbs Doxy treatment X-rays and 2 blood tests and nothing! Tech stated "you're just used to seeing him heavier, he's still within the normal body score range" My dog died Saturday am in my arms after 3 weeks of the wrong treatment and misdiagnosis I believe he had Acute kidney failure caused by poisoning Dogs don't die of gastritis My dog died Saturday weighing 127lbs from kidney failure not gastritis I will not have my other dogs treated by this vet

Over two years ago my dog Sophie, a Golden doodle, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in TN where I…read morelive. The University of TN were the only ones there that diagnosed her correctly. They offered us Prednisone to help shrink the tumor and to give us a little time. They sent her home in a two handled harness and told me she would need it the rest of her life. A friend of mine asked if I would want to take her to Dr Maro in PA. She described her as one of the Top Ten Vets in the Country. She was right! She offered a combination of Western med and more importantly Holistic medicine. Her holistic approach saved my girl. Unfortunately we r a little over two years later and she has a new tumor in a new place. It started causing seizures. Again we came to see Dr Maro to see if she can perform another miracle. I only regret not coming sooner. Maybe it would have been caught early. I want to respond to some bad reviews on this site. In my view they were mainly written over cost. You must remember this is a Holistic vet. Look at her like you would a cancer specialist. They cost more because of the level of education they have gone through. They not only learned western medicine but holistic as well. There are not many like them around and the treatments they offer you work, but it is a different approach than Western medicine. I've learned so much with Sophie's illness I try to share what I learned. Do NOT vaccinate your pet every year because a vet told you to. They may not need it and you're putting your loved one at risk. Dont feed grocery store food or anything that starts with meat by products in their ingredients. Food can kill them. Maybe not today but maybe in 2,3,4 etc years. It is NOT good healthy food just because you pay more. Do the research if you love your pet as I do! Look into those vaccine's and flea meds. Toxic! There r holistic products that work just as well and will not give them cancer or brain tumors. Every vet has a different education just like our Doctors. Like everything there can be good or bad vets. Dr Maro and her staff are the best of the best. Up to date on new treatments that work. If you need a miracle please go see her! I am just a loving mom of the BEST fur baby I have ever had! I would do anything to save her life. I've giving her the best chance I can by following Dr Maros advice, wisdom and knowledge! In the end I will know I did everything that I could for my baby!

My daughter and I brought her dog for a sick pet visit, and we had a great experience here. They…read morefit us in and saw my grand-dog when her regular vet could not. Dr. Maro and her staff were great (quick, efficient, no delays in treating her pain and placing an IV). They updated us every step of the way on everything from costs to her condition. They ordered testing that pinpointed her illness - it was pancreatitis, and she was critically ill. They not only got a diagnosis the same day, but put her on the road to recovery. All the staff and doctors worked as a team to support us and her, and the vet techs were so kind. Dr. Analeu performed an ultrasound and Dr. Jones took over (the following day) on my grand-dog's care until she was able to come home. We are very happy with their services and highly recommend them.

My cats a senior and she was so loving and gentle with her. Yes, they have long wait times. It's…read moreworth it to me because they know what they're doing in my eyes and make my senior feel safe. They didn't manhandle her. They were gentle, trimmed her nails, cleaned her poor ears, the medicine from what I googled actually was a very good price for its formula, and it took care of the ear issue quick! I think I'd prefer my cat being comfortable and treated gentle and deal with some wait time rather than the other options. They also have an option where you can wait in the car and they can buzz you when you're ready because of animals anxiety. Which I LOVED! I am not fully understanding these negative reviews- I guess in my eyes if a doctor/vet is running over, that means they take their time and really access and explain everything! I also had front office on the phone for 20 minutes explaining everything and they answered my many calls with my silly questions. They're just Pittsburgh, straight to the point (I'm not from here, so to me being blunt is just the Pittsburgh of it all!) they just are honest with what you ask and when they are busy, at least they actually put you on hold and don't decline your call completely! I know to some that sounds ridiculous to say, but I work front desk, and many locations will just make you call over and over! (Not mine, but many will). Anyway, I just wanted to make this because this will definitely be the place my lovely lady goes, and likely my mom is bringing our two dogs too when needed!

Here is what I observed as a customer: significant turnover of employees, most of the staff are unfriendly/miserable, money-first mentality; alarmists but no follow-up; always suggesting tests/services to make more money. I expected better.
