I love this store! And, seriously, what's not to love? There's a huge inventory of house stuff - furniture, home accessories, kitchen items, holiday/seasonal decor - and, surprisingly, everything is super-reasonably priced. I often walk around the store, getting inspired for decorating certain areas in my house. I have always found gifts for others here in this store, and thier XMas selection of gifts (foods, ornaments and decor) is outstanding. The salespeople aren't pushy and will gladly let you browse in peace. They have tons of things for smaller living spaces (apartments and small townhomes), as many items are smaller-scale. Also, good to note: they have really nice and clean bathrooms upstairs in the back for the public. read more

I'd been to the university village location quite a few times, but visited this Bellevue location for the first time this past weekend. Parking can be a pain, but if you're willing to drive up the garage and wait behind people for a while, you can generally always find parking. The store itself felt smaller than other crate and barrels I've been to (university village & dallas locations). There was still a lot of inventory though. During the 30 minutes I was there, not one salesperson approached me. I guess they were too busy/ figured we weren't serious about buying furniture! Crate and barrel does have some good furniture though. I own quite a few pieces from there. They do have some stuff though that is definitely that "expensive Ikea" look, but they have much more than that. You just have to know what you're looking for. Very nicely laid out store with nice merchandising and decent products. We were exploring the Bellevue Square area and wandered in. I was curious about accessories for our Kitchen-aide stand mixer and asked one of the clerks, a middle aged woman, if they had this by name... Kitchenaide. She was carrying a little tablet and had to look up whether they had this product. What!!?? You work in the store and don't know if you have a household name kitchen product? No, I don't think so... besides that the tablet did not work. I don't expect an employee to have to carry around a tablet to help me. Train your employees... this makes them concentrate on the damn tablet, not the customer. How stupid. As it turned out their very limited number of stand mixers were about 10 feet away behind a wall. No, they did not have a good selection and no accessories in stock. Meh... give me Sur La Table any day. Hell, a Walmart associate knows where the products are. Won't see me back there again. read more

The last time I visited Crate and Barrel was this past Christmas. An employee who reminded me of slightly effeminate Santa Claus gave a snarky, even rude response when asked for directions to the Christmas decorations. That was at the U Village store, however. I've shopped in the Bellevue store before and haven't had as unpleasant an experience with staff, although I wouldn't describe them as overly friendly or helpful. Crate and Barrel has a pretentious and snooty vibe, which is certainly not justified by the quality and stylishness of the merchandise they sell. Over the years we have purchased some cabinets and sofas from them, as well as housewares. The prices are very high given the quality of their products. The sofas turned out to have some design flaws that only became evident after a year or so, and the fabric has faded terribly even though they have never been placed in direct sunlight. The cabinets are prone to chip very easily, and the glass doors on the TV stand no long function very well, as they stick and are difficult to slide. Overall, the best I can say is at least they're not as bad as Restoration Hardware. read more

Everyone has problems with chain stores mostly to do with their perceived imposition of uniformity across the land. Being an uninteresting yuppie myself I find myself unconcerned by my lack of style. Which is a rather half-assed way of saying thank you to Denise at this particular Crate & Barrel. Late on a Friday night after having just moved to Seattle and after having finally given up on moving our brand new comfy couch into our too-small new apartment, this beacon of warmth walked into our lives. Calmly, professionally (she after all does have a financial interest in this exchange of info) heard us pour out our heartache, suggested a few options to consider for donation / sales and basically reassured us that yes it might be the end of the world for our couch but for us it was a new beginning. All of which sounds cheesy and rather simple-minded. And yes we were exhausted and emotionally beaten down (our couches are important to us OK?) but Denise got the sales pitch perfectly tuned to our state of mind (meaning warm but not pushy or salesy) and went the extra mile to track down exact timing for delivery and gave us samples to match to new furniture we were considering, etc. Essentially she went well above and beyond what she needed to do to make a sale - she gave us reason to live. And today our new beautiful replacement couch arrived. And we are happy again. Thank you Denise. read more

If you're looking for a place to register for your wedding, and know that Target or Bed Bath & Beyond isn't going to cut it, Crate & Barrel just might be the spot for you. They've got a nice selection of just about everything, ranging from furniture to wall hangings to dishware. This location utilizes multiple floors to house all these goods, but the space itself is well laid out, and with its multiple entrances, the store didn't give off the "I'm overcrowded" vibe. Stop in, take a look around, and I'm sure you'll find one or two things you can't live without. read more

Went here today to pick up a wedding shower gift. I don't regularly shop here so it feels like a maze. After I printed off the registry - I then had to navigate and figure out where stuff was. It's not clear to me. Yes, there are certain sections...but w/in those sections, it's not easy to figure out the specific items. But fortunately, I had a great lady helping me out. She directed me to the items I was interested in...but didn't hover around (which I appreciated). Additionally, upon checkout - she wrapped everything up in tissue paper, took off any price tags, and boxed it up very nice with a handle - all w/out me asking for it. I thought that was great!! Saves me time w/ wrapping! It still won't be a place I shop regularly for myself - too pricey! But they do have lots of cute stuff! read more

Bought two (2) ottoman seat cushions, 1 of which arrived (late) today. No matter re lateness, but both the cushion top AND bottom of the cushion was stained. Appears to be food/beverage stains on one side, mud/earth/dirt on the other. Clear to the naked eye. Really? in the age of COV-19, couldn't someone have paid attention to standards of hygiene? It's a large C&B that runs two floors with furniture up top and housewares below (for the most part). The sales reps are fairly nice and the stuff they have is nice, but it's a little pricey. They have mostly modern furniture, but everything comes from CA or the east coast so you have to wait, then pay delivery charges. They contract delivery out to other companies who sometimes have people who don't speak English well. It's hard to ask people to take off their shoes when they are delivering your furniture when they don't understand what you're saying. Having to ask them is another issue... hmm... o'well. I just figure if you're going to pay that much, they should have people who are more professional. Their register systems are antiquated, so checking out is painful at best if you purchase a number of items at the same time (we bought enough furniture in 3 installments to fill a 2bed+den house). So far we really like the furniture we have and are excited for the last of it to show up. The staff is generally nice and returns haven't been an issue for us. I'd give it a 3.5 if i could, but I can't, so it's getting a 3. read more

The other day I wondered in here, slightly confused and a bit angry with a home remodel process that was going through the mud. Long story short, I had a Sofa with a specific color, in a certain price range that my heart was set on. Their staff was extremely friendly, patient and understanding. They worked with me for over an hour going back and forth between 2 Sofas and tons of fabrics. They didn't call me neurotic or over controlling when I brought in my wall color pallets and sample wood flooring piece to make sure my choice would "match". Brooke, the hero of the day, even carried up an ottoman from the 1st floor to entertain my crazy idea of mixing and matching sets. She even found me a "tall model ;)" person to test the comfort of a couch for me. I was never pressured to buy something. In fact was encouraged that I thought about my final decision over night, so I was 100% sure of my choice. This is why I would go back, recommend and be devoted. Sure the product base isn't the most "creative" out there. But in general, they have what I need, I can find "earth friendly" products, and un-pressured in making a decision. read more

With over 20 weddings attended, I learned long ago, upon receipt of the register, you must immediately head to make a purchase. If you wait even a few weeks, only items left are all $200+. No bueno. Poor customer service in store and over the phone through their customer service representatives! I had to search throughout the store for a cashier to exchange the broken items off of my wedding registry that I had received in the mail. Today I called for a price match guarantee for a Kitchen Maid Mixer and was told although it is the same item and color, and they can see the item on Home Depot's website for $80 cheaper, that they are unable to grant the price match guarantee because Home Depot is not the one mailing it to the consumer. This is absolutely ridiculous! What kind of a price match guarantee is this Crate and Barrel? Terrible customer service! read more

Crate and Barrel has it all! And they sometimes have it all on sale. Woo-hoo!!! Even though it may be a huge pain, hit up the after Christmas sale at C&B--it's a great time to stock up on pretty nice quality kitchen goods. Their wedding registry is easy to complete, so if you're getting married, be sure to register here. Yes, some of their furniture can be pretty spendy, but if you're looking for basics (plates, glasses, nice kitchen stuff, etc.) you really can't beat C&B. If you do make a purchase, tell the cashier that you're buying a gift even if you're not...they'll wrap everything up really nicely in a black and white C&B box, making it easier to lug your goods to your car. I bought a beautiful lamp here for less than $80 (it included the shade) and I had to pick it up at the will call section. The people who worked there were so nice and funny--it seemed like they were our new best friends! read more

Horrible horrible service! I love Crate&Barrel but there's no way i'm going in this branch anymore. I cant even begin to complain as i'm super frustrated right now. They were unbelievably slow, like i'd never seen that slow in my whole life. They were insisting on me giving them my information or applying for their credit card. How hard is it to understand that i dont want one?! She asked me 7-8 times to give her my email and phone number and i'm like i really dont want to ma'am. Then another employee joins her in convincing me to apply! People, i dont want it! Then she tells me she needs my email to send me the receipt, i give it to her and there it is, she prints the receipt! Are you kidding me?!! Did she just trick me!? And pleaaaase train the employees to pack and box things. I dont think anyone would appreciate watching 2,3 items to take 20 minutes to be boxed. read more

Really nice store. The products are affordable if you don't go there in order to buy furnitures, even though you can find nice furnitures with good price. At least, It's better to pay a little bit more there than to buy something even worse in ikea. The sellers have been really nice with me. One day I bought two counter stools and when I arrived at home, the both were rusty. I had to go back to the warehouse to exchange them. They were very polite and I could even choose the others stools there. So, I can't complain. read more

Every time I come here I want to buy the whole store, even though I'm fairly certain I don't need a different bowl for every type of food or meal I might have. Prices are actually pretty reasonable though and everything looks nice. One of our wedding registries was here too and I got lots of nice stuff. The furniture can be expensive but I love that a lot of it is designed for small spaces. We were here the other day and found the perfect desk for our small condo. I ended up ordering it online though but that was also a breeze and so was delivery. The style and items just really match my personal style so I think of course a lot of deciding to come here or not is a personal preference. read more

Bellevue Square has a really large Crate & Barrel with an awesome selection. I've found some great buys here and they typically ship to CA at no charge. Service is excellent as are the assortment of of everything from household goods, appliances, china and furniture. Plus, the B Square store is off the beat and path--connected to the mall via the garage which seems to keep the "Mallers" out. read more

As a California native I'm admittedly snobby about large chain stores such as C&B in Seattle as I find that most of the stores that I've visited since moving here do not carry the same items as they do in CA or, worse yet, they don't keep many items in stock. This particular Crate and Barrel location proved me wrong. Not only do they have lots of items on display and in stock, their service is bar none the best service I've received at C&B. Case in point: we purchased a floor sample stool that ended up being too tall for our bar when we brought it home -- completely my error. Although the tag on the chair and the sales clerk clearly warned us before our purchase that it would be a "final sale" and that there would be "no refunds or exchanges", the store manager (Courtney) allowed us to credit the cost toward a new, shorter version of the stool after I explained my error. All we had to do was pay the difference for the new one. That would have never happened in California. Everyone who works here are ultra-nice and provide above-standard service. Hats off as well to their service pick-up team in the back! Not only do they load up your car with a smile, they go the extra mile to make sure your items are safe, providing clear instruction and guidance on how to unpack your item(s). I only wish there was direct access to this store from inside the mall as opposed to having to enter from the garage, but that's a small issue when weighed against all the positives. 5 stars. read more

I love all the cute holiday stuff in there. But I find that the department stores reminds me of a over priced Ikea kind of feel to it. Maybe it is just their signage...idk. Customer service is hit or miss. I got my bedding with matching bath room set from here and love it. Good quality, I have had it for several years now and it is still good as new. I recently went in here to get a holiday serving platter which is super cute and I absolutely love. Plus it was on sale so win-win. It also seems like a good quality piece for only $15. read more

I recently went in needing some new color added to my family room. I quickly found teal throw pillows, a matching teal rug, gorgeous vase and some great basic frames for my walls! I had so many items that the employees were letting me stack my items at the counter so I didn't have to carry them. They were very helpful and accommodating. They even offered to help walk my items to the top level (they aren't allowed to go into the garage) which I really appreciated. I love all their fun items, great color and cheap prices! read more

Ordered Sofa, Dining table, chairs and carpet from Crate and Barrel on November 7, 2020. The delivery date was first 15th of January 2021 then got moved to end of January 2021. January 30th the delivery team show up with a Dining table with pieces missing so they could not assemble the table. Second, one of the dinning chairs were broken. On the Sofa, till today their Customer Service team says they still don't know when I will get the Sofa and they can't give me a delivery date and its approaching three months now. Buying from Crate and Barrel has been a very disappointing experience. read more

We purchased big furniture, sofa, chair, dining table, and such. not only their furniture is all good quality, but also their customer service was excellent! One of piece we ordered was out of stock, and we had to wait over 2 months, and when all items were finally delivered, we found some damage on the sofa. I contacted the sale person who took my order, and he contacted their customer service and made all arrangement with repair company. They all made sure I'm completely statice field with their products. I have visited other big furniture stores who advertise their good quality and known for pricy "designer" furniture, but all failed to listen to customers needs, they tried to sell whatever they want to sell instead. I can order furniture online these days, and save some money, but it's so worth buying furniture, especially big pieces at trusted store like C&B. read more

Worse, the first employee I encountered was incompetent, followed by another one (named Vera) who was extremely rude. She needs to go work in a prison as customer service is NOT her calling. I was an idiot who waited two days before Xmas to buy gifts. (I was snowed in people) But nothing was as much as a bad situation than having the entire register system SHUTDOWN company-wide two days before Christmas. It happened at every single Crate and Barrel. They could only accept Credit or Debit cards and had to hand write receipts for the throngs of customers. The cashier that helped me, Andrea, got a nice verbal beating from the customer in front of me, who decided this was unacceptable, threw down their purchases and leave the store empty handed. Andrea kept on working, keeping her smile on her face, and even boxing stuff up for me, without missing a step. I told her how sorry I was and knew the world of retail was the suck at times, and she gave a smile and a thank you that put a smile on my face. Those employees had to work their asses of that day, so kudos to you! read more

Very poor customer service. There was a a problem with an item we ordered online in shop to store. Despite receiving a confirmation email, item wasn't there when we went to store. They offered to ship it to us when the item arrived. They did not. We finally receive the item many weeks after purchasing the item (which was listed in stock) and had to drive up there because the employees did not follow through on their offer to mail item to us due to the issues on their end. When we relieved the item, it had a very large scratch down the side. Not what you would expect from an expensive frame. We contacted the store for assistance in address problems with our order, and we're not given a return phone call. We contacted Corp, and received a generic reply email that did nothing to solve our issue. Won't be shopping here again- poor item quality and horrible customer service. read more

This store doesn't stand behind their products. I bough several serving plates from the a few years ago. Two of them crackled big time. One afte we put something hot on it, the other when we put in the dishwasher. The back says dishwasher safe. So I take it back to the store and they tell me we can give you $2 for it. I wanted a replacement! The acutally said it was because I put it in the dishwasher and admonished me for doing it. Even after I pointed out on the back Dishwasher safe. This supposedly high end store might as well be at the flea market. We won't be buying anything there ever again! read more

My friend made a wedding registry here. They have a sign that reads "have some" on a coffee maker. She proceeds to pour herself some when an employee comes over and scolds her for getting her own coffee saying if she wanted some she needs to ask. Then took her coffee from her and threw it away. Then got mad and walked away from her. My husband went to buy something from her registry and had to ask someone to grab a set of knives. This employee asked another to get them who replied "I'll get them when I'm good and ready." Now I don't know what was in the water or if this was the same lady but the customer service at this expensive store is so snobby and rude we will never return. read more

Since we moved to Bellevue we have shopped many times at this specific Crate and Barrel, including two major furniture purchase. I'd say the staff at this store are great. The salesperson, John, is super nice and friendly. Their delivery crew is very professional and made sure to not scratch any surface. Also, two weeks after one of my purchase, I received a 20% off coupon in mail. I brought the coupon to the store and they gladly gave me a price adjustment. Overall we are very happy with C&B and would strongly recommend it to others. read more

My wife and I were looking at some stuff for good 20 minutes or so, but not a single employee came by to check on us. It wasn't that busy either. When we finally went to ask for some help, this guy looked at us like he was doing us a favor by helping us. He was extremely rude and wasn't explaining everything to us. It felt like we were inconveniencing his evening by asking for help. We ended up cancelling our order. When he walked out on the floor again and greeted another couple, his tone of voice had changed to much more pleasant tone. I don't think we were that terrible. I called the store after and talked to the person in charge. He apologized and said I would get a call from the store manager. I didn't get a phone call within the time frame that was promised to me. If you want to be showed the catalog and look at the computer screen to find out what furniture they have available in the very store, you are more than welcome to walk in and deal with the sales person obviously did not know what she has in the store. I was passed one from another and all they show me was a computer screen and the catalog.A small furniture store like this,any given sales person should be able to know what they have on the floor and what customer can order from their company. Over-priced and an less than semi-enthusiastic staff. My now wife and I were registered there and had to visit a number of times before and after the big day. I want to say we visited about half a dozen times in the past year and of those visits 1 maybe two times I felt like our business was appreciated. With the number of gifts that we received from C&B for our wedding I can safely say we brought them a few thousand dollars in sales. From time to time my wife wants to go and grab something there but I usually try and talk her out of it telling her we can most likely grab it at Macy's for a lower price and twice the pleasant attitude. read more

After 3 months of back and fourth over damaged furniture and a damaged stair wall, we have almost given up on receiving some sort of compensation. We have been told repeatably that someone will get back to us within a couple days and nothing. Very bad customer service and this is from the general manager. They've got a variety of things, but they have especially a big selection of stemware, dinnerware and glassware. Their service is superb, and the return policy is relatively lenient.
