I hired A2B Movers after doing a search on Yelp to help me with my move. It was easy to request a…read morequote and they were very quick to respond with an estimate after giving them a few details, like how many rooms I have, what big furniture needs to be moved, how many floors my place is, etc. I was only moving a couple blocks away and from a one room to a two room and a one floor to a two floor. They recommended one truck and two men to help and it was about $110 an hour plus a truck rental fee. I paid in cash so I got a small discount on the hourly rate. Rather reasonable compared to the other quotes I got. They were great at communicating with me leading up to my moving day as well as the day of. My movers, Dmitri and Bohdan, showed up right on time and were very professional, friendly, and efficient. They helped disassemble my furniture (and put it back together) and wrapped up everything as needed. I even had a giant plant that I wasn't sure how to move, but since I was only going a short distance, they wrapped it up and secured it in the truck to take over. At one point I even got a little emotional about saying goodbye to my old place and they were so sweet to me. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again and can't thank them enough for the help. I feel like most people describe moving as a stressful, but for me it was a breeze.

They took apart my bed and put it back together, which I was very grateful for. They treated each item with care, wrapping them in plastic wrap or blankets. I let them know I'm advance that I'd need several wardrobe boxes and they delivered. I hope it's a very long time before I move again, but I would absolutely use A2B Movers again. It was a great value for the money.

They arrived a few minutes after 1pm and had the truck completely unloaded by 1:45pm. I was amazed how fast they unloaded this truck. I will call Efficient Moving for loading/unloading help for my next 2 truckloads in May. Travis and his helper were great to work with!! The total cost was far less than other quotes I received from the competition and this company has been around for a long time. Thanks ! DBL

I then had one of their representatives, at their suggestion, come to my condo to see what and how much I had to move. When the Efficient Moving man came to my condo, I was encouraged to do a "per item" moving cost basis and was told "it would turn out cheaper" than a per hour basis. The man told me that typical totes/boxes were like $3 each to move and he would take an inventory of the furniture, etc. back to the office and give me a quote. When I got the quote, the totes/boxes were $4 each. Plus there was a $200 "Trip Charges" which was not mentioned to me before. They would not disclose what the individual furniture pieces cost to move as that was "proprietary information" so I had no idea how much more a big piece of furniture cost than a smaller piece. I didn't like the whole situation but the move was looming and I felt overwhelmed so I chose to continue with Efficient Moving vs finding another mover. On moving day, three nice gentleman showed up and it took them 3 1/2 hours to complete the move, working at what I would call a normal pace. The total charge was $832.50 or $237 per hour, considerably more than the $180 initially quoted me. It also took the mover an additional half hour to figure out the bill because of their complicated system.

I couldn't find the time and motivation to get it done, and that's when I reached out to Jenna with organized assistants for help. She was a god send and worked with me, and on my time to get it decluttered, cleaned and organized in the best way. Having someone come into your house and see your mess puts you in a vulnerable state, so you want someone you can trust and can put you at ease, that was Jenna. She thrived in the chaos, never not judging and excited to work to get it organized in a way that made sense to me. Now I don't get anxious everytime I go in the basement, and I actually want guests to see it first hand because it just makes me that much happier, and that's all because of the hard work and mind of Jenna. I also looked around prior to booking with Jenna, and the price for her outstanding service is unmatched. I can wait to work with her again to get more organization into our home!

Moral to the story, our furniture is now in our new house. That is the only good news. How they…read morewent about moving the furniture, not so good. 3 guys showed up at our old house, with 2 trucks. They were not wearing "uniforms" or tshirts to identify or represent themselves professionally. It was a very hot day, so I will give them grace for that. None of the furniture was wrapped to protect it from damage. The items were just loaded on the truck with the hope that it didn't fall or scrape against the other furniture. When they arrived at the new house, one of the movers took his sweaty tshirt off and layed it on our driveway to "dry out". At one point, there were 3 sweaty tshirts laying in the driveway. Again, I know it was hot, but that seemed a bit unprofessional. 2 of the 3 movers seemed very tired and not in the best shape to move furniture. They sighed loudly a lot and mumbled about having to move stuff down the stairs. Again...it was very hot, but I didn't expect our fabric furniture to be moved/balanced using a very sweaty head....so our couches and cushions had sweaty round wet spots that were very visible to the eye and to the touch. IF the furniture had been wrapped/protected, the sweat stains would not have been an issue. Now I feel like I need to have my couch and cushions cleaned. They damaged our hand rail taking stuff downstairs--again, no protection on the furniture. When I noticed the bashed up handrail (in our new built home) I threw towels over them to protect from further damage. Why did I have to do that? Shouldn't they? While moving another piece of furniture, they scraped and scratched the brand-new door, when I called out that they damaged the door the response was "that's what you get for having big furniture." Really? It's MY fault that you were careless? After being told that a desk needed to be moved downstairs the comment was made "there is already enough furniture in that room." I am guessing he didn't want to move anything else down the stairs? We told him to leave it and we would just do it then.....but he conceded and moved it. Lastly, the group appeared to be done moving our stuff and were gathering their water bottles and heading to the truck when I mentioned that we were missing a piece of furniture in our dining room. I was met with "oh yea, we had a casualty." I asked what happened. I was led to my garage and shown our custom designed, Amish built in Holmes County by Laverne Yoder, dining room buffet sitting on its end with the leg broken off--splintered up the whole back of the unit--just snapped right off. This isn't something that can be fixed easily as it is a solid piece of oak. I also don't think they were going to tell me about it. They didn't mention it until I asked where the piece was. Again, it was mentioned that our furniture was heavy and it broke taking it off the truck. well...if you had WRAPPED IT, and handled it with some care, it likely wouldn't have happened. This will be an expensive fix. The unit is currently sitting on books because it has no back leg. I am shocked that we were blamed for the issues because we have heavy furniture. You are a moving company. You move furniture for a living. We had a quote from another company but went with Mr Mover because they were less expensive. That other company was moving a neighbor the same day. They had more people there, all were dressed in matching tshirts with company logo, and ALL the furniture going into their house was wrapped in protective material. My advice, pay more and get peace of mind that your furniture and your home will be protected. We have a BRAND new home....with damaged doors and railings, a very nice custom piece of furniture that will be expensive to fix and a sweat-stained sectional couch and cushions. I spoke with Pam, she is apologetic, and I am waiting on how they are going to make this right.

We used them to help pack delicate items as well as their moving service. Both days they were polite, respectful and HIGHLY EFFICIENT, thus reducing the total cost of the move to keep it in budget.
