    Whiskey old fashioned sweet. Yummy

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with my daughter here. It was our first time here. What a great place! Great atmosphere and nicely decorated. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food large amount with fair prices and very fresh ingredients. Our food was delicious and our drinks made perfectly. Highly recommend and we will definately be back.

The food here is so thoughtfully chosen and prepared, and you can taste it in every bite! I've had the burger, salads, prime rib, mashed potatoes, French onion soup, and crave curds and they are all excellent! Just the right amount of flavor and seasoning... the food here is just perfect. The bartender is very pleasant to talk with, and when you leave drinks in his hands he always creates a delicious concoction. I can't say enough good things about this place... I drive 30 miles away just to come here for food. So worth it!

Amazing food and stellar customer service! Surf and turf mac and cheese was delicipus. The cheese curds were out of this world and the burgers are outstanding

Our group had a great experience despite a much longer wait than we were told when registering. We ended up ordering an appetizer (pretzel with cheese and mustard) at the bar to hold us over. The cocktails and bar service were excellent! There were so many delicious menu options - it was hard to choose. Our group of 5 shared a variety of entrees which was the perfect solution to difficult decision making. We had the chick pea curry, nut crusted chicken, beef ravioli and tenderloin medallions.

    Yummy

The fish we had was perfectly cooked, but there was not enough flavor. Something was missing, a bit boring.

Decent size parking lot available for diners! This spot is a bit rurally located, but a treasure in the rough. The interior is uniquely Wisconsin, blending dive bar with supper club to create an approachable, laid back atmosphere. The bartender was friendly and conversational, yet kept his distance when not needed! The Old Fashioned menu was large, with unique spins on the classic Brandy-forward drink in this neck of the woods! I went with the Haunted Brothel, which had a lovely nuance of chamomile tea and ginger beer to give it a distinct taste! I'd absolutely go back to try another one of the many offerings on the menu!

They have a robust old fashioned menu--all made the Wisconsin style. We ordered the barrel aged old fashioned and asked if it could be made in the classic style (and specified without soda). Our server said, 'of course!' Annnnnd--then we got our drinks and they were both Wisconsin style. Not a huge deal and we did enjoy but a word of warning to those who favor a classic old fashioned with no wash--might have a hard time with that here. For our second cocktail, we got Manhattans which were better! For an appetizer, we were waffling between the spinach artichoke dip and the brussels sprouts. Our server recommended the spinach artichoke dip so we went with that. The dip was flavorful and the tortilla chips are house made. It was good! For my main, I got their eggplant parm, which was ample, saucy, and served on a bed of pasta. I definitely couldn't eat it all in one sitting. It was delicious. Our server was attentive and the prices are reasonable. Get to it!

Our group started with three salads, all delicious, I highly recommend the arugula goat cheese. I also tried a bit of the patty squash which was great (I'm not usually a fan of squash). I shared two vegetarian dishes with a friend, a tomato burrata risotto I'm still thinking about) and a beat pesto that was a little bland. One of my highlights was the blush cocktail with pink peppercorn and passionfruit that tasted so refreshing and summery. Our table also tried three desserts, and the plates were scraped clean. This is a great spot, with good food and I would definitely come again if I lived nearby!

I decided to try something different, so I decided on a Strawberry Fields before the meal. Steven the bartender recommended it and it was delicious. The strawberry lemon made it a little sweet and sour without one overpowering the other. Their menu includes poultry, fish and of course the "Butcher's Corner". I ordered the Urban Cowboy steak and it was cooked to perfection. Juan, our server suggested different knife based on the meat we ordered. He also noticed that I had almost finished my drink and remembered what it was and asked if I would like another. Which I did. Juan's attention to our table made this a memorable dining experience. I only wish we had more room for dessert!! Maybe next time. Thanks to all the staff at Butcher & Barrel!!

I don't know how often the menu changes, but it seemed clear that it did change. There is also a menu of wine, beer, and spirits available. I enjoyed excellent service from Claire and a truly exceptional meal consisting of the Scramble (duck egg, ramps, fingerling potatoes, and topped with crispy potato chips), Country Pate (toast points, stone ground mustard, pickled collard green stems and carrots, and fennel), and Smoked Ribs (corn bread with thyme butter and collard greens)! I loved the vibe of the place, which made it seem like a casual bar with decent bar food. I did not expect the high level of quality dishes I saw on the menu, which followed through to the plate compositions, and then onto my palate! There wasn't a single disappointing bite in any of the three dishes I ordered, which were all from the small plate/appetizer section of the menu under "Colds" and "Hots." The Country Pate board was a perfect start, and the Ribs are smoked in their outdoor smoker, providing a slight smoky flavor and very tender meat. Ribs are served over delicious collard greens and with a side of cornbread and thyme butter. I tasted an herb in the cornbread and forgot to ask, but it may have also been thyme, or just my imagination. The cornbread wasn't moist, but also wasn't dry, and it had the crumbly texture one looks for in cornbread. I did not expect to taste collard greens this good in Neenah. The Scramble was absolutely perfect! You can tell from the photo how perfectly the duck eggs were cooked. There were fluffy and flavorful, and they were served over sliced fingerling potatoes, and then topped with crispy housemade potato chips. I wanted to order more, but I was satisfied, and it was getting late. I still had a 90 minute drive back home and work the next morning. If you're anywhere Neenah, I highly recommend you eat here!
