Food was DELICIOUS and came out promptly. The only reason it's 4 stars is due to our server, he wasn't very personable at all, but we went around 3pm so maybe he was waiting to leave? We came here for lunch on Saturday. We loved the Baba Ghanouj and Grape Leaves (with more spice than average dolmas) to start. He ordered the Chicken Shawarma, and I ordered the Lamb Kabob, both entree sized, and we had plenty of leftovers for a second meal, each. Then we both enjoyed Turkish coffees for dessert. Lam chop delicious, though served sloppily (chops looked like they were just thrown hap hazard my onto plate as an after thought. Presentation could have been much better for the food) Soda is flat. This is the real deal family owned Mediterranean restaurant. The food was delicious, fresh and authentic. It has a comfortable and funky. The service was friendly, and fast with out feeling rushed. Drove 35 mins here because I had to have the veggie plate and grilled veggies (because there are SO FEW mediterranean places around here that offer the latter.) Also ordered a lentil soup + another vegetarian platter + extra grilled veggies + pita bread. Best I've had around here so far, all of it. Ok, aside from dining at Safta. From the lentil soup rivaling my favorite one ever, the fluffy pita just like the lepine/somun I used get when ordering cevape, the charred and perfectly roasted onions and jalapeños, to the high quality taste and garnishments of the dips and freshness of the salads. Great dolmas and I usually don't love falafel but loved theirs. Portions were large and we had 2 meals out of each plate. Inside was kind of strange to navigate and they should maybe have a clear takeout station/section/signage but it was a full house for lunch which I was happy to see and the food is what matters most of all anyway. First time at Crave and it is a nice casual mediterranean restaurant. The dinners are priced well and include rice, salad, hummus and pita bread. The salad was just some basic lettuce with one tiny quarter of tomato, but everything else was good. I had the Kabob Combo, and the meat was very tender and flavorful. We also got a side of their cucumber yogurt that was a perfect dip for the meat. Their pita bread is homemade and some of the best I've had, and delicious dipped in their homemade hummus. The staff is very friendly, however we did have toa sk for water refills. The ambiance is very strange as the decor is a mish mash of Chachkies. There is a very disturbing stuffed Fox that's hiding behind a fake plant, and I felt it was stalking me throughout our dinner. (See pic). There is also a water fountain with ceramic roosters and chickens sitting on its edge, a gold horned bull face above it, and a chandelier above that. If nothing else, that made me look twice. I would have enjoyed my meal a lot more if that fox wasn't staring and squinting at me. I think next time we will be ordering the food to go. read more

I went here for lunch today upon a recommendation from a co-worker. Parking was tight with all of the other shops also on the same area. When entering, it isn't clear of whether to seat yourself or wait for someone to seat you. We stood by the front door, and one of the employees came over after a bit to direct us to a table. A server brought our menus and glasses of water. The server was welcoming and informative. The menu had a decent amount of choices, and the descriptions of the choices were clear. I ordered the chicken shawarma lunch special that came with a salad and rice. It was very delicious. My co-worker opted for the gyro lunch plate. If you don't know, these don't automatically come with pita bread. We were given some after a request for it. The food was favorable and plenty. It came out quickly after ordering. Not because of the food of the dirt, but it was only because of their costumer service acting like you're not the one who's paying for your own food. Middle eastern food restaurant great for family's, date nights, or small dinners. The staff was all so hard working and you can tell it's family run, which usually means the food will be really good too. We had the chicken and beef kabob plate, zaatar pie, and of corse, pita bread and hummus. All of it was the best I've had in Colorado so far. Granted, I haven't looked far, but I love meddle eastern food, and this place was good. All of the food was absolutely delicious, and I can't believe how much we wished we had leftovers. We're so glad we gave this place a try! Everything was delicious, and the customer service was great. They gave us a piece of baklava after the meal, which was such a sweet touch (pun intended). It was very tasty, as was everything we ordered. We started with the muhamara pie, which was light with a hint of sweetness. My husband also had the kibbeh, which he said was very good, though a little different than he's used to. Each of our meals came with a side salad, which I wasn't expecting with my sandwich (the salad might have been a freebie?). Even my veggie-averse hubby ate some of his. It was a refreshing way to start the meal. He had the koobideh kabob, which was "really good." I had the falafel sandwich, and would get that again in a heartbeat. I've been in this plaza several times but never here. We came around 2 in the afternoon and were seated right away. Our server seemed to be the only one working the front of the house, so it took him a while to make the rounds but he never stopped. Restaurant is sit-down, which surprised me. I'm mostly writing this to remember where I've ordered from and that this isn't worth visiting again. What's funny is that this used to be called "Carve" and was a fast casual barbecue place in like 2016. They basically changed a couple letters on the sign and the cuisine. I really wanted garbanzo but they weren't offering delivery. This isn't as good as a more authentic Mediterranean place or Garbanzo. The pita was cold and felt store bought and literally everything was flavorless. I thought I got two hummuses but one was baba ganoush? I could barely tell the difference. There was one soggy grape leave (usually my favorite part of a vegetarian combo) that had some strange tomato flavoring. Everything was just meh. Our favorite Middle Eastern restaurant in Denver. It's family-run and service is friendly. The large room is modern, with traditonal decor. The wonderful pita bread is always fresh, baked in an oven in the open kitchen. My wife and I have enjoyed the hummus, baba ghanouj, and whipped garlic paste (toom) with the pita, to start. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I loved my gyro sandwich. The hummus and tabbouleh were very tasty, but the baba ghanouj could have been a little smokier. They make the pita in house and I loved my gyro--the pita was so light and fresh. The one thing I took a star off for was my plate was dirty, my napkin was dirty, and one piece of my silverware was gritty (like it went through the washer but there was still food on it and then dried).
