The Restaurant has an outdoor sitting area. The restaurant is located inside of the Hilton by hotel. There is inside dining and outside dining. The waiter Prompt and a tentative. But the food takes a B long time to arrive. We order the avocado chicken eggroll, the eggroll came out mushy and does not look like a typical a roll, it was shredded chicken mix with avocado wrapped in on a oil sheet and fry. Very salty and very oily without flavor, we asked to send that dish back. The next dish we order is the boat sushi, sushi was not fresh and I did not finish half of the boat sushi. My husband order the southwestern burger with fries and it was greasy. And he plating was messy. The fries that came with the burger are super salty. Overall experience was port. Crave is certainly a popular modern, trendy spot in town! We got our reservations, and found the place was absolutely packed at 8pm on a Saturday night. Our waitress was extremely nice and took care of us. The menu is pretty expansive of what you think of when you are considering a steak / sushi establishment. With that being said, they absolutely nailed our dishes, perfect cook, perfect seasoning. We did have a mix up and don't receive our appetizer before our meal, however they took care of it, and removed it from the bill. If you're looking for a nice date night, fancy dinner with friends, or to splurge a little, Crave is worth checking out. read more

So they have a restaurant attached to a decent hotel. It should be a no-brainer. It's bound to succeed, right? I suppose so but many restaurants attached to motels have let me down. That's not the case here. We waited about 10 minutes for a table, about 8 pm on a Sunday night. The server was on us right away with drinks and took our food orders after a decent pause. I chose the Walleye and it was fried perfectly. The others had, sushi, salads and soups. Everybody in our little group was pleased with the meal. The server checked back with us in comfortable intervals, to ensure we were cared for and the place was busy. All of us stated we'd return if we happened to be in Sioux Falls. A sister restaurant of this brand recently pulled up stakes in Roseville MN so we can't go back there. And I don't remember it being this good. So, if SoDak builds another statue I have to see, we'll be back. read more

Checked this place out as we are staying in the hotel. Made a reservation online and the process was easy. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. My pineapple mojito was good but it had a little too much ginger, staff offered to replace it and I said it was not necessary and just added more pineapple to counter the spice from the ginger. The food was EXCELLENT. Unfortunately my kiddo found a hair in the last of her lobster Mac n cheese. I let staff now and had 3 different apologies from staff and they gave my kiddo a free dessert and they comp'd her Mac. Overall, I'd still return here as the service was exceptional. read more

A colleague recommended this place when I came to visit a few weeks ago. I'm not going to lie.. sushi in South Dakota had me a bit nervous being from the coast but overall I was very impressed. The crab cakes were excellent and the sushi roll I got was a a well. Not only was the food great but the service was as well. My server was so incredibly nice and attentive to every table she had. This Crave keeps pretty busy since it's inside of a popular Hilton Garden Inn. It's pretty similar to others I have dined at in my own city and while traveling. The customer service here at this location is really superb, and I tip my hat to the ladies working at the front register who helped me order and process my to-go. Friendly, professional and efficient. The food was ready quickly and allowed me to get on with my night which I appreciated. The food was packaged well and every sauce was in it's own container which I found great since I was going to be eating on the road. Foodwise, It's really the same 'only ok' menu I have experienced before at Crave. Nothing I ever order wows me, but the food is eatable and decent. As someone who loves Asian food, I would steer away from the rice bowls and dishes on the menu. It left a lot more to be wanted. Sushi is usually a pretty reliable option on the menu, or the American food. Overall at a $15 meal point per person at Crave, I would like to 'love' the food more than I do, but it's a satisfactory meal if you find yourself there and need some nourishment. Highly recommend this place! It's a little pricey but they have options for everyone! We got seated immediately at the bar on a Friday night. The salmon here is SO flavorful, I also appreciated that the filet was large, often restaurants give small fish portions. I didn't love the side of steamed veggies though, they were pretty bland. My friend ordered a vegan pasta and I had a bite and was wowed by the flavor of the sauce, it was very convincing for being vegan. The cocktails were also pretty good. read more

The food was marginal at best, the service was awful. I had a reservation, the tables were not full, yet the hostess made us wait 15 minutes beyond our reservation time and sat us in a booth that had been open and clean the entire time she left us waiting. We waited another 15 minutes before our server came to our table. I ordered a brand of Merlot from their wine list. The server returned to tell me they were out of that brand. I ordered a house Merlot, the server came back and said they were out of Merlot. Really? On a Saturday night at 7:30pm? That is really poor bar management if that was the case. Our appetizer arrived cold by a different server. She asked if she could get us anything. I replied that two of us would like more water and one in our party ordered a soda and she snapped "Ok, you're gonna have to give me a minute!" Two waters and a soda was too extensive? Two different severs then delivered our entrees and the "who had this?" began. Annoying. Our first server walked by our table several times and never once stopped to ask if our entrees were good or if we needed anything. Obviously, the management is not good as this staff, from the hostess to servers to bar staff are not trained appropriately. I don't know what is going on at Crave in Sioux Falls but the service and food was very disappointing. There are better places in Sioux Falls for Sushi & Steak. Skip this place. read more

Very little attention is giving to quality of food and ambiance at this restaurant. Due to apparent mismanagement, this restaurant has massive unrealized potential. Sioux Falls has many better options for quality dining than CRAVE. It wouldn't take much for CRAVE to up its ambiance game. Apparently it has no interest in doing so, though. Food quality has suffered recently and portions are hit and miss but generally ok. If you can't get into the restaurant you want, maybe try this place but keep your expectations in check. read more

The only thing you're going to crave after visiting is COMPETENCE. Took over three weeks to receive a refund for the portion of a delivery order that did not arrive. On one of my final calls to Crave, the manager I spoke with said I would be hearing from the GM to rectify the situation. Crickets. Only after I emailed the GM did I receive a call. And with that call came reassurance from the GM that this would be made right and without me having to make any more calls to rectify this situation. Lies. What the GM did do, was direct me to call DoorDash and have them process the refund for the missing items. The phone call to DoorDash took 65 minutes, with 35 minutes of that being on hold. DoorDash refused to waive the delivery fees because too much time had past since our order. This delay only occurred in the first place because not a single person at Crave, including the GM, was aware of their own operating procedures. This order was placed directly from Crave's website. Holy Bat Balls. You can't blame COVID for this level of incompetency. read more

I left a bad review for Crave a few years back and my recent experience has far countered the one bad one. I am a connoisseur of chicken wings and I think these are the best in town. I love Crave for the variety of high end food options you can get and the outdoor seating in summer. On my last visit I got the Chopped Chicken Salad (photo included) and was so surprised how much I loved it!! It was actually so big and filling I had to take some home. The food was great. We ordered firecracker shrimp, lettuce wraps, lobster avocado toast, and a shrimp tempura roll. Our server Alex was also incredible. He made sure we had everything we needed. The manager that sat us was a different story. He seemed annoyed we didn't have a lunch reservation for the middle of the afternoon. He seemed annoyed when we requested to sit on the patio. He sat us at one of the few tables without an umbrella and when we asked for one of the many empty tables with an umbrella, he rudely told us this is all that was available. After we were seated, we saw several groups come in that were allowed to select their own tables. I would have given Crave a five-star rating, but this guy was terrible. read more

We stopped in here after a long day of driving across the Midwest. We were happy to be seated right away and even got to sit outside! Our waiter Oliver was AMAZING and made us feel right at home. We ordered and within 8 minutes our food had arrived (we didn't even get our bread before dinner.... which was perfectly fine since our food was so fast!). Oliver checked in on us and our meals were delicious (we had the chicken lettuce wraps and chopped chicken cranberry salad). The blueberry fizz non alcoholic drink was delicious! What a kitchen. Stranded for 3 days for Winter storm and what luck to be at The Hilton Garden Inn with their installment of CRAVE. Few places can deliver as dining room and sports bar but this CRAVE does both. The venison bolognese was the staple the past couple days as it hit it so far out of the park, I enjoyed it 3 dinners in a row. Wow! Then for a little energy while heading back to Ssn Diego, the stir fry w chicken seemed like a safe bet. Would have added a picture of this unreal dish but by the time I i came around from the flavor explosion and wrote this review, it was 3/4 gone. Amazing flavor and freshness with just enough bite to let me know it was there. CRAVE was a Beautiful experience and helped this California boy stay warm snd cozy in the storm. PS, I'm an IPA guy and live by Hop Highway in San Diego. The Woodgrain IPA at CRAVE? Yea, they get it! read more

The service was mediocre or I would have complained about the missing part. Another issue is bringing up Crave on the web has a brunch menu, it does not exclude Sioux Falls, yet the Sioux Falls location does not offer a brunch! Epic fail on so many counts. Stayed at the hotel it's in, the Hilton Garden Inn - although I heard good things about their other meals we came for breakfast before our day of meetings began. We arrived at 7:45 and there were only a few other tables being waited on. It was quite inexpensive which was great. There's too deals- one is about $7 for just the buffet stuff which includes fruit, bagels, pastries, oatmeal, cereal and waffles and then there is a deal for about $10 which includes any other breakfast stuff and the buffet. So you can get made to order eggs, pancakes, French toast- etc. I got your basic cheese omelette and home fries and my coworker got the breakfast taco special with bacon and home fries. It's pretty hard to mess up a cheese omelette and they definitely didn't :) it was great. My coworker said that the breakfast tacos were very good too! Although one complaint is that they stuffed so much stuff into the taco shells that he couldn't pick them up and eat them, he had to cut them up and eat them with a fork and knife. read more

Last time I came to CRAVE i had a great experience, I was hoping to have the experience but unfortunately that wasn't the case. We ordered two sushi rolls, we saw our sushi sitting on top of the counter for 20 minutes. Something that really aggravated me was the managers were standing and chit chatting while the food was sitting there. After their chit chat sesh the walked by the sushi rolls SEVERAL times and never brought it out. Our server was extremely slow and never checked up on us. The place also seemed dirty and looks like it's been run down. Maybe will return for drinks, but besides that I won't step foot. read more

I'm severely disappointed. Stopped down because we were staying here for a few nights... hoping that they could at least hit the nail on the head with a salad. They only have 3 salads on the menu - I went with the $16 chopped chicken salad. I figure a salad priced at $16, as the others were $7 and $8, would be a very decent sized salad I could split with my wife. The salad was lackluster at best. Absolutely a ripoff. Go with two wedge salads and you'll get significantly better volume for your dollar. Was really hoping that stopping by on a Sunday afternoon with NO one in the dining area or bar, I would be able to get even halfway decent service. The bartender seemed very annoyed that I ordered a beer and asked for the dressing on the side. Overall not impressed at all. Hope you have better luck if you venture here. read more

There are a number of good dining options within a short walk from the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Sioux Falls. If you have time and don't mind venturing out, I recommend exploring the area. A few of my favorites include Minerva's, Phillips Diner, and Josiah's Coffeehouse. All are within an easy walk of the hotel if the weather is nice. However, if you do not want to venture outside the hotel, I think CRAVE offers a good dining option for the area. On a recent trip to Sioux Falls for business, I ended up eating at CRAVE each night of my three night visit. On the first night, I had the Steak Frites entree only. I was served four small steak medallions. They were tender and flavorful. The Bearnaise sauce was a nice add-on, but you could always ask them to leave it off, if Bearnaise is not your thing. My only complaint with the steak was that I ordered it medium rare, but it was much closer to medium or even medium-well. I didn't complain. I still enjoyed the steak. The asparagus was a nice accompaniment to the steak. It was still "al dente," which is how I prefer asparagus. The French fries, or frites, were a disappointment. I am pretty sure they were just standard frozen fries. I'll never understand why a restaurant that aspires to be more on the upscale side would not use fresh-cut potatoes for fries, especially if they call them "frites." All in all, it was a decent choice for dinner. The second night I opted for the calamari appetizer and the King Kong sushi roll. The calamari is some of the best I have had. It wasn't tough and chewy as calamari often is, and the corn meal batter they used was a nice surprise. The jalapeño aioli they provide for dipping is also a welcome change from the more common marinara or cocktail sauce one usually finds accompanying calamari. This is a large appetizer that could easily be shared with two or more. The King Kong roll was tasty, but it is too big to be eaten properly. This is a common complaint I have with sushi rolls. I wished I had ordered something more spicy, too. The third night of my visit, I ordered the pomegranate glazed salmon with a CRAVE Starter salad. The salad was HUGE. It could easily have fed two. I liked the simplicity of the salad: mixed greens, well dressed, with goat cheese and some kind of candied nuts. This salad with some bread could easily make for a light meal. The salmon entree was my favorite entree of the three meals. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The fingerling potatoes and Brussel sprouts sides were great, too. I didn't try any bar drinks while I was visiting, and the bar seems very popular. If the restaurant was not located inside the hotel, I probably would not eat here as often. Prices are on the higher side, but not unreasonable for the quality. read more

There are some things that I wasn't a fan of, like upscale steak house prices for steak. The cocktails I ordered were too sugary. But there are some good choices that are reasonable on the menu. The different burgers and build your own bowls are totally worth it. The river side seating is a great way to enjoy the good weather also. read more

I start this at two hours and and the apologies are coming with almost everyone who walks by. Still, I'm sure the food will be very good. The food just arrived, but it is clear that the drinks flow - even if you don't ask for it, they'll bring another drink. It is odd that there are multiple servers largely because we couldn't get the attention of our server or his trainee. But the food is very good. The food is very good. Tough to have sushi without soy sauce. So after ten minutes, I went to another table to take a soy sauce container for our table (6). But to their credit we received an obscure reference to dessert. And they brought a chocolate cake, but no plates. And it didn't appear on the bill. So, if I have three hours to spare I'll be back. read more

Decent sushi, although not great. The nigiri had no wasabi binding the fish to the rice, and they were inexpertly made. The sushi rolls were good, and overall it hit the spot for a sushi fix.
