Great place. Everything is made to order but it only took about 5 minutes. Spicy food was very spicy! But good!! Romantic and fun outdoor seating area.

Some of the best Thai food I've ever had. I got the pad thai medium spice with chicken, My sister got the green Thai curry with mahi mahi (my favorite) the service and staff were amazing, attentive and kind. The ambience is chill and the bench by the window corner seats are really vibey. It's very chill in there late at night, with some swanky jazz music. We'll be going there for the 3rd time tomorrow

I drive down to Koloa every two weeks for an appointment and this Thai spot is my highlight. It's my favorite food on island. I get the same thing every time. Papaya salad, spring rolls and an extra side of peanut sauce. Sometimes the mango sticky rice if they still have it. It's my favorite salad ever!! And best home made rolls ever. You can taste the quality of the food is so fresh and everything made from scratch. Thank you for providing such wonderful food for our island. I would eat here everyday if I lived closer!

Incredible Thai food truck! Still thinking about the spring rolls. They were so good I came back a second time just for them. All the dishes were nice and fresh and had a very vibrant flavor. I came here because my sister wanted something simple but i ended up ordering spring rolls and Thai tea for myself. Safe to say everything impressed. The service can run a little slower mostly because everything is made to order. Thai tea (not pictured): I really appreciated that this one wasn't overly sweet and I could actually taste the notes of the tea. If you're looking for a sweet bomb there's plenty of other places but if you're looking more to tickle your sweet tooth this would be the drink. 8.5/10. Spring rolls: The star of the show. Perfectly fried with a nice crunchy outside that doesn't compromise the delightful noodles and veggies inside. Don't skip on the sauce as it adds a nice bit of sweetness. So good I returned the next day for another order. 9.5/10 Chicken fried rice: Before you get on about this being basic there's something to be said for doing the small things right. The chicken was generous, the veggies cooked well, and the sauce hits all the right notes delivering familiar with well balanced flavors.

Craving Thai food truck in Kauai in same location as Chalupa's and Monster Sushi food trucks. Ordered, paid by credit card, and waited 20 minutes for our meals to be ready at the food truck Craving Thai. The $13.50 chicken pad thai came with a generous amount of sliced white chicken, over rice noodles, bean sprouts, green onions and crushed peanuts. Ordered spicy, but the orange sauce was very bland. Noodles stuck together, tasting like the boxed $2.85 Thai Kitchen pad thai kits you buy at supermarkets. Could have used more bean sprouts and green onions. Salad on the side came with a spicy vinaigrette sauce The $13.50 green curry came with sufficient white chicken, shredded bamboo shoots, carrots, peas, yellow bell peppers and too soft overcooked eggplant. The sauce was thinner than I'm used to -perhaps they didn't use enough coconut milk. Very spicy just the way I like it. Came with a scoop of white rice on the side. Would order again. The $13.50 eggplant came with lots of sliced chicken, sliced eggplant, onions, carrots, and bell peppers in a delicious thick sauce. Scoop of white rice on the side. Would order again. Wife's sister ordered the $13.50 chicken satay. The dish was 100% chicken, without vegetables. Peanut sauce too sugary for me. We cooked brown rice in our timeshare, as wife doesn't care for white rice. Serving portion, amount of chicken, and quality of food comparable to Bangkok Happy Bowl 2 miles away, although the restaurant Pad Thai noodles better with more egg. Both take credit cards. But $13.50 here compared to $21.95 at BHB. At 430pm Tuesday you were SOL if you wanted the $6.95 Mango sticky rice, $9.95 Green Papaya salad or $9.95 Spring Rolls(2).

Food is great and I often get lunch here however the pricing has gone up too much that I can no longer go as often as I like. I would recommend their curry with extra rice as they do give plenty of. Their Thai basil dish along with Tom aloha soup is also delish

It was happy hour and dinner time, the happy hour menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=sU3aNqKNoeIXrrigGqvftQ caught my attention, and the overall frumpy decor and look captivated me to give them a shot. Founded in 2012 in Aspen, Colorado by Chef Paula Rungsawang and her partner Kirk Coult, they've visited the community several times and thought this would be a great opportunity to share their award-winning cuisine where there was little to no traditional Thai food presence. Would I be bowled over by some banging Thai food and sushi resulting in a very happy tummy!? PURCHASE(S) Blue Hawaiian Cocktail ($12.00 HH): A sweet elixir which the bartender made somewhat strong (thank you!), this drink always made me happy simply because of the color. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=Mj1qbpJwcyYJUdNDr_4S9w 3pc Bangkok Pork Sliders ($12.95 HH): Simple nibblers to work up the appetite, I found these an odd menu choice, that I just had to order them (nothing special). https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=wyB2_9x_jxvaNufqZw5L-g Maui Brewing Co. This was one rockin' roll! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=x6ZuRWgpGDrNBzlpePWscA Mango Sticky Rice ($14.95): This large portion was amazingly fresh, sweet, and could've made it a separate entree on its own! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=96&select=_6lCggMO4ba2dAUOxgpT6g To Go Fee ($1.05): For my dessert, I've never been charged this before, but I understood businesses needed to cut/pass along costs as much as possible - c'est la vie. SERVICE I was immediately greeted by a gentleman as I headed towards the bar where I was then warmly greeted by the female bartender/server. She helped me work the happy hour menu, recommended the sushi roll, quickly delivered everything, and we shared some casual chatter. It was a relaxing dinner with good company - mahalo! PARKING (FREE; N/A this instance): Located within the outdoor Poipu Shopping Village, there were plenty of spots although I took the 10-minute easy walk from the Sheraton Kaua'i Resort Villas - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A weathered-looking eatery with both indoor and outdoor dining that had competing decor ideas and a club feel, there was a short bar https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=fLb8Xkq9JnzJYFeJAY48ZQ to your left once you entered, the main dining area to your right, and then patio seating out front where there was live entertainment on a small stage. A decent amount of natural lighting came through the wide front opening while an assortment of electric ceiling light fixtures covered the rest. There were several muted TVs throughout, while pop music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=96&select=teGtMAhYedc3smx8Yh8UDQ ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Bangkok Happy Bowl Thai Bistro And Sushi Bar was a chill time, and I would consider another visit to actually eat Thai cuisine from their sizable menu. The happy hour was really good, the food was tasty, the prices were a bit elevated, and the service was efficient and friendly. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $95.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Request a table near the windows for a sunset view. We arrived and were greeted and seated immediately. Shortly afterwards we were served complementary spicy edamame. We ordered three appetizers to share. Brussel Sprouts & Cauliflower, Black Garlic & Yuzu Ahi Tartar and Vietnamese Style Sashimi. The Brussel Sprouts & Cauliflower was excellent, golden raisins and pine nuts add sweetness and texture, balsamic vinegar counters with wonderful acid contrast. The Black Garlic & Yuzu Ahi Tartar is simply fabulous, one of the best bites I have ever had. I first had this dish two years ago when it was introduced as a new dish in a prefix meal. On that trip we returned to enjoy the dish once again. Had it again last year as I travel to Kauai each year. I'm happy to see it is still on the menu! Our third dish was the Vietnamese Style Sashimi and it was okay, although a bit underwhelming for Eating House standards. It was fresh but lack the complexity that I have grown to expect from this restaurant. We requested some wasabi and it helped with the flavors. My thinking is the jalapeño oil should have been more concentrated or pronounced. To be clear I did not complain, regardless the dish was removed from our bill. Very nice. Thank you. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The view at sunset was amazing. Looking forward to returning. Highly recommended!

The front desk staff guided me to the elevator. This trip was for my birthday. In every reservation when asked about a special occasion, I put birthday. This was the first restaurant to acknowledge my special day. The check-in staff wished me well as did the server. We had been to several restaurants prior to Eating House that didn't say a word. Kudos to the staff for its kindness. The restaurant is open air and very comfortable. It has a rustic feel. We were seated by the window on a cool, rainy night but were perfectly dry the whole evening. On top of that, our server was very helpful in guiding us to order the right amount of food. He brought us a serving of edamame which is always on the house. The shrimp & pork potstickers were very good. I had the ramen which was tasty, filling and a great choice. Our server was terrific to put the spicy oil on the side which made it easier for me to eat. My husband had the butterfish which is the best I have ever tasted. It is a signature dish and always a pleaser. The only real downside is the limited menu. We were told that because of a staff shortage, it wasn't the typical menu. This was disappointing. But they did have the best of the Roy's dishes. So far, it has been the best experience that we have had in Poipu.

You can watch the chefs working on dishes thru the open counter kitchen. Our server was friendly and took our orders right away. However, our food was served in two waves as the ramen was served early, but the rice dishes arrived much later. Our server came to our table to address the wait for the rice dishes so at least they were aware of the problem. The ramen was gourmet and the portions were generous. I ordered a Chashu bowl and it came in a small rice bowl, which was a perfect amount for me as I wasn't very hungry. It was small and mighty with a jam egg, 2 slices of Chashu and a bed of rice. I just wish the meat was tender and rice was less dry. My fiancé ordered the Katsudon and liked it. The servers kept dropping by to check on us so we did feel taken care of. Overall it's a good place for some ramen if you are in the mood.

Takes 10 minutes for our orders to arrive. Wife's $18 vegetable ramen is bean sprouts, onions, carrots and bell peppers in a Tonkatsu broth. Slightly on the spicy side, wife liked it well enough to finish all the vegetables, leaving a small amount of the broth -too salty by itself. My $20 Chashu ramen also comes with 4 pieces of slices of chashu in a tonkatsu broth, but not as spicy as the vegetable ramen. Both dishes have a good amount of thin but tasty yellow ramen noodles., combined with bits of green onions. Loved the broth but wished the chashu were thicker -they were cut into slices no more than 1/8th of an inch thick, so the actual amount of pork was on the small side. Other than skimping on the amount of pork, the dish could have had some bean sprouts in it. Next time will order the $2 egg and the $3 option for more noodles. Price competitive with Hapa Kauai which has ramen noodle dishes at $27-$33, including the hard boiled egg. We came on a clear day, but it rains a lot in Kauai. Would not like to climb up and down the 20 outdoor stairs without a landing.

My wife happened to notice on Instagram that they were open on this night and so we headed on over. Since others had complained about the waits, I decided to look at the time and it was 5:26 whenever we got in line and there were 4 sort of large groups in front of us. I was able to order at 5:50 after the couple in front left after finding out that they had nothing vegan on the menu. Two groups behind us also left after waiting in line a couple of minutes. Finally at 6:14 our name was called and we got our food. So it wasn't the slowest food truck I have ever been to and the ladies inside did tell a few customers everything was made fresh to order. Since this is a food truck, there's not much to say about it except it has their logo and all of their menu items on the outside and there are quite a few of menu items. Inside of the truck were a couple of workers and the person working the register put on a face shield to talk to anyone who was ordering. For dinner on this day I decided to go with the spicy Thai noodles while my wife went with the Asian garlic noodles and added vegetables. The menu described mine as Fresh Noodles, Spicy Thai Style Broth Topped with Roasted Thai Chili, Ground Pork, Roasted Peanuts, Green Onions, Fishcake, Calamansi (Lime), Bean Sprouts & Fried Wonton Crisps and my wife's as Fresh Island Saimin Noodles, Tossed with Our Homemade Asian Garlic Butter Sauce & Topped with Shredded Parmesan Cheese. My ramen here ended up being quite good and I really loved my broth which had a nice spice level to it. Then the ground pork was a nice addition and the noodles were somewhat springy. Finally the calamansi added a nice citrus flavor to it for when I wanted it. The only misstep that I would say were the fried wonton crisps which ended up being half soggy. I do like the idea of adding some crunch to the ramen but am not sure how you would go about that. My wife also really enjoyed her noodle dish, especially the vegetables. The bite I had of it was quite garlicky and flavorful. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future.
