Always fast service, and good food... especially with the right people :)…read more Enjoyed a night out of town with some mommies who needed it. Food came in a timely manner, always fresh and hot. Hamachi Kama- always a must! Have it grilled or fried... this time i had it fried! This is a piece! And the size i really look for wherever they have it available. Seasoned perfectly, with a little grill crisp! My fav!! Bali hai bomb... a Cali roll, with a small piece of salmon then torched!! Always sooo popular. Uni with Uzura (sea urchin w/ quail egg) ughhhhh sooooo good! Milky, high quality and extra delicious! Always nice to see familiar faces at the restaurant even since baby days!

Sat at the back bar and was still ignored a big part of the time, especially to get outta there. I had my wallet on the bar for a half hour before I finally said something. It was noisy, so I knew we would want to get outta there as soon as we finished eating. Food was good, however nothing special about it. Exactly what you'd expect from a busy sushi spot that locals love... just an okay experience across the board.

We've dined in and gotten take out from here multiple times and it's been always excellent!…read more Service is very friendly, food comes out quickly, and parking is not too bad (small lot next to the restaurant and street parking) What we usually order: Pad Thai: very good Drunken noodles: my favorite. just the right amount of spice, ton of flavor, and lot of veggies. Thai basil: so good! So much flavor with good level of heat. Red curry: very coconutty, lot of veggies, good flavor, not too spicy Papaya salad: too sweet for my taste. if you want it spicy, you must ask for it. Garlic fried chicken: had this only as take out- was very greasy and the portion was very small. Excellent Thai choice in Kauai!

Solid spot with lots of menu options! We came as a party of 2 on a Tuesday at 5:15pm. There is a…read moresmall parking lot out back, and there were several spots when we arrived. The servers were friendly and attentive! The interior was cute and the windows let in a lot of natural light. Food: - Crazy Scallop Roll (8.5/10): Overall delicious! Each piece was bite-sized and had maybe two chunks of scallop on top. My only complaint was that it was kind of pricey for the portion sizes, but that's probably because of the scallops and that things are expensive in general in Hawaii. I was still hungry after eating this dish! - Panang curry with chicken and white rice (8.5/10): Super yummy! We thought that the curry flavors tasted pretty authentic. We wished we had gotten a bit more rice, as the scoop was pretty small so we had a lot more curry in the end vs. rice. - Mango sticky rice (8/10): I've eaten a lot of mango sticky rice dishes in the past, and this one was pretty average. The mango was a good level of ripe, and the sticky rice had a nice, mildly sweet flavor. Our suggestion would be to pour the coconut sauce over the rice instead of next to it so the flavors soak in!

How is it that I have never reviewed my favorite Sushi Bar on and off island? Yikes!…read more I'm fortunate to live on island and make every opportunity to get my sushi fix here. This place has the freshest and most well prepared sushi, sashimi and "omakase" (chefs choice original roll). Omakase is ALWAYS out of this world no matter which chef came up with that nights special. The fish is always super fresh so they don't need to drown it in sauces. The flavors pop pop pop with every chew. Amazing! Some of my favorites are the scallop sashimi (incredibly fresh every time), chili hamachi, uni (sea urchin-not for everyone) and always omakase roll or two. Also, if artichoke is in season I like the steamed one, a cup of chowder always hits the spot, pretty killer tempura, really great fish and chips and I know I'm missing a bunch of stuff but now I'm salivating and need to wrap this review up so I can drive over. I don't eat in the restaurant part so much but that's because I'm a total hound for the sushi. When I have it's always great. Don't skip dessert!

We ate it so many nice restaurants and this was one of my favorite meals of our recent trip!…read more We started with the baked artichoke, then split three rolls (Fire cracker, Next best thing, Sunset) and had this incredible banana ice cream cake for dessert!!!! The rolls were incredible!!!! And the presentation was pretty:) our server was super sweet too! The views outside are so beautiful too to relax and enjoy drinks! This is gonna be a staple spot on all of our future Kauai trips!
