We went on a thursday and ordered: $2 cocktail shrimp, fried catfish chips, jambalaya, and crawfish etoufee. The etoufee was okay...a little too strong in taste in my opinion. It might be a personal preference thing...give it a try! Had decent amount of crawfish in it. Jambalaya: my fiancee loved it more palatable for everyone's taste I think. Tomato-ketchup-y soup base with sausage rice and vegetables. Very filling and generous amounts of sausage. No seafood in it though. Both soups came with very buttered up french bread. Cocktail shrimp. The shrimp were tiny! But it was a decent amount of tiny shrimp in the cocktail for 2 bucks 4 or 5 chips came along with the catfish chips. Pretty good dinner-- I had a Cajun shrimp bowl and my husband had the blackened shrimp platter with pasta and gravy. I really enjoyed mine-- Cajun shrimp, rice, broccoli and yellow zucchini were full of flavor and well seasoned. My husband didn't think his blacked shrimp were well seasoned and the gravy and pasta were very heavy. I also enjoyed a Deep Eddys Lemonade vodka with water -- tastes just like a lightly sweetened lemonade. Interior is dark and just like hole in the wall bar would be. Nice little hole in the wall with two adorable bartenders. Went on a monday night, select beers were only a dollar and jello shots were a dollar. The girls were a bit pushy on the jello shots but they were still pretty damn good and at a dollar each nothing to complain about. A few special mixed cocktails were available, at 3.50. We really didnt sample any of the food other then a few oysters at .99 cents each. I didnt have one but the guys said they were fresh and pretty damn tasty if not on the small side. I came here for some grub before bar-hopping on my 21st, so my memory might be a little blurred but this place was good. On Saturday nights they are definitely more of a bar than a restaurant, but that doesn't hurt anything. It was pretty crowded, so I still don't know where the cash register is or anything, and the bartender seemed to appreciate my drunk naivete. The employees and the patrons are invested in the satisfaction and safety of the other customers, so I would say that it generally has a good crowd. Some of the other bars on Cincinnati definitely do not have that plus, so take that as you will. Got some fried chicken, and it came out as a nice crispy chicken breast. The oysters were not as cold, fresh, or large/meaty as the ones you will find at Pier 86, and their lime wedges were hard/dry with little to no juice. However, they are still a steal for $15/dozen! Crawfish dishes are all delicious but my favorite is the ettouffe and Cajun rice. Not other spot in town serves it up like craw daddy's. Price is very pocket friendly all the way around. $1.50 rolling rocks are ice cold and the severs have always been very friendly and check in often to keep you fed and refreshed with a smile. Got the blackened catfish w/ crawfish ettouffe over rice. It came over fettuccini. The ettouffe was just a boring peppered brown gravy with little tiny crawfish tails. The catfish was super mushy. What was once a swarming scene in El Paso has become what it always needed to be, a comfortable lounge for manning up to the small bartop and ordering from their humble selection of beers. Its almost eerily quiet in here, but there are usually 4-5 groups deep into conversation so the ambient noise recovers the inner ear auditory feedback that could result from a deadened watering hole. This is what I would imagine a bar heavy into ethos would be in a small east coast college town. Its certainly not a place to hang out all night, but a great spot to break-up the social pollution from its neighboring pubs. read more

I went there to have dinner and I asked for the pulled pork sandwich and I really didn't like it. It was kinda cold and had a weird taste. Fries were okay. My friend asked for shrimps and he didn't like them either. He said they have a weird after taste. We couldn't even finish half of what we ordered because we didn't like it. This app says that they close at 2 am but at 11:45 pm they told us they were going to close our tab because they were about to close. The waitress was okay, she did came several times to ask if everything was okay. Found this restaurant on Yelp. When we pulled up outside the location, I was tempted to drive away but decided to go ahead and give it a shot. I am so glad that we did. We had a dozen oysters, my husband had the Ettouffe and I had the crawfish Po boy. The food was excellent!! Our server was great and attentive. We will most definitely go back. The only criticism is that the oysters could have been a little colder. They were plated on cubed ice instead of crushed ice. The oysters were still delicious. We were pleasantly surprised when we went to pay our tab, price was very reasonable. I would recommend this to anyone who is wanting some great cajun cooking. read more

My husband and tried this place for the first time and it's was just amazing! The service was great. The prices were resonible. And the food was just heavenly!!! It was just so delicious. I also expected with most fried foods they would all taste the same but we were very surprised because the fried food didn't all taste the same and didn't even taste fried. You could taste all the different flavors. And now my husband and I have been craving it and want to keep going back to try other dishes. I'm not sure which Crawdaddy's Maurice was at in '08 (maybe this place has changed in the past 3 years and it's ready for re-review) - and maybe I should be more sympathetic, because I was here before a 1:00 p.m. Miner game this afternoon for an early lunch. Hardly even noticed it was also a watering hole. I don't know much about ambient noise or the workings of the inner ear, but I do know a Banquet frozen chicken nugget dipped in Buffalo sauce when I taste one. In 2011, Crawdaddy's bears little resemblance to any east coast college town pubs Ive been to. As a Cajun style pub; however, Crawdaddy's was hit or miss today. The blackened shrimp po boys were wonderful, the Buffalo chicken sandwich, likewise. The appetizers were real disappointments, and we ordered more than enough to draw a conclusion. The Cajun fried pickles were soggy and dripping in yellowish grease that pooled at the bottom of the plastic baskets. The Buffalo chicken nuggets--well, let's just say you couldn't identify any chicken in these nuggets, and pretty much the same for the little fried shrimp--pretty much the same stuff you find in your grocer's freezer. The etouffe (sp?) ordered by my friend, who's not very critical of anything, seemed to be heartily enjoyed, mud bugs and all. read more
