First time knowing this was in SPM and my first time trying it. I got the pound of shrimp and pound of crawfish, you have to add all of your veggies. There is nothing included. I was disappointed to find out nothing was included but I added potatoes, corn and sausage. The flavor was very good. The medium is pretty spicy and I will say there is a tad of sweetness to it that I was not expecting but was not off-putting. Service was nice, they only come check on you occasionally as to not interrupt your experience. Drinks were always refilled and this is some place I would come back to visit when I'm craving a seafood boil. It's a classic boil restaurant with paper on the table and a country Cajun feel.

Heard rave reviews about this place especially the oysters. Also a favorite of my GF's kiddos. So, we decided to check it out with them. We arrived just before opening; hung out at the front door with the sign blinking open. Once inside they told us another 15 minutes as they were behind on prep. Took the rest of our party a few minutes to arrive so we weren't too worried. Drinks were provided quickly; we did forage for our own menus while we waited. First thing I noticed is most are the apps are small but equally cheap. I mean, who takes the time to put only 8 mushrooms in the deep fryer? Or how about 4 hushpuppies for $1.80? I'm baffled, thinking they went and stole the add on prices for extra at Long John Silvers. Truthfully, most of the fried stuff is straight outa the food service truck. And, those cheap apps are only there to entice you into spending your weekly paycheck on pricier food. Some of my raw oysters suffered from sediment meaning they weren't properly cleaned. The diablo shrimp should have been grilled or griddled instead of time in the deep fryer with all the other apps. Boudin balls were super tough. One member of our table never received her wings; that was to be her entree. I did find the crawfish etouffee acceptable with a light blonde roux. Only a few dashed of tabasco made it a solid dish. And now, they 2lbs of Cajun snow crab legs. Possibly some of the best I've had and the redeeming quality for my two star review. Service started out OK and got worse as our meal progressed. Refills started great and then it was down to waiving and asking. I appreciate the restaurant's tenure but I've noticed even some of their regulars have started to complain on yelp in recent months. We spent over $200 with tip; that doesn't jive with the food offered and the venue. Next time we'll just head over to Pappadeaux.

    Mexican martini

We dined here Friday evening around 6:30pm. This was my first time here and last. The restaurant was decently full but no wait. Ambience ok- sort of a seafood nautical mixed with sports bar feel. We read the reviews before we went in, so I knew it could be hit or miss depending on what you order. Most reviews only complained about the oysters and raved about the crawfish. If you make it before 7pm they have happy hour food and drink specials. I ordered a Mexican martini for $5.50 and the hubby ordered the house margarita for $3. We were seated at a booth in the back with a nice window view. This is pretty much the end of my positives. We ordered jalapeño poppers. They were your basic, bought out the frozen food section and dropped in grease poppers, nothing fancy. My Mexican martini was awful- someone had poured a ton of olive juice in it. The house margarita just tasted like mixer. My hubby ordered the shrimp po boy and Cajun wings. His wings were slightly burnt but at least temperature hot. His shrimp on the po boy were hot but the french bread was hard and tough. I ordered the tilapia platter, fried, with Cajun fries. My food was completely cold! Fish batter was bland with no seasoning and tasted slight burnt also. Meanwhile my husband kept mentioning there were ants crawling on the window we were sitting next to. My son accidentally dropped a French fry on the floor. When I went down to pick it up, the floor was swarming with ants and the fry was covered as well as other food particles. I was completely grossed out at this point. My camera pics don't do it justice. We advised the server and asked for our check. He just looked at us like we had three heads and walked away for the check. No apologies or anything. He then brought the check and disappeared. Luckily we had cash so we could easily pay and leave. Typically I like to address these issues with management but I was tired with a toddler so I needed to leave.

Food was good, server was informative and friendly . We arrived pretty late to celebrate my daughter in law birthday. I called a couple of hours prior to arrival to inform we would be coming in and I requested the group to sing Happy Birthday to her. (Which they usually do) I was told absolutely; However, even after I reminded the front hostess when we arrived and told my waiter... the song never happened.

The restaurant is always clean, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the Indian music playing in the background creates a calm, authentic dining experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always happy to accommodate your preferences. I've enjoyed everything from the saag paneer, salmon, and a variety of curries to the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. Every dish has been rich, flavorful, and consistently satisfying. The butter chicken is especially smooth and comforting, while the chicken tikka masala is packed with bold, well-balanced flavor. If you're someone who loves spicy food, they don't hold back! I need to come back and take updated photos because it's been a while, but if I still lived on the south side, this would absolutely still be one of my regular restaurants. Highly recommended!

The ambience is not super polished by that is not must for me with sushi. The soup and salad was brought out first at the same time. The soup was really tasted and had a lot going in on it compared to most miso soups you get. The salad was all the sad white parts of an iceberg lettuce head with a dressing that was more creamy than the soy/ginger orange one most sushi places have. The chirashi came out with the fish place directly on the rice rather than separately in a stacked serving box with the rice below and the sushi on a plate above that. Their yelp pics showed it presented like this in the past. Guess they ran out or loss those? The fish was really good with the tuna and salmon being the highlight. Nice thick cuts with really good tenderness and freshness. I will be going back again for the chirashi and super friendly service.

I'd like to say that it's an underappreciated gem, but to be frank, it's just okay. Perfectly okay, absolutely not bad, and nothing to get excited about one way or another. The ramen options are structured like a choose-your-own-adventure book, letting diners select their protein and then broth flavor from a list of eight each. For vegans, the sole option is the Vegetable Ramen with Creamy Vegan Broth. It delivers on the promise of vegetables, sporting close to a full crown of tender steamed broccoli, and the noodles are good, if not great. However, the broth falls flat, taking the overall bowl down with it. There's just no flavor at all, no umami, no zest, not even enough salt for proper seasoning. I hate to be harsh because it's done nothing wrong. I would simply never crave it, given the wealth of more compelling alternatives within reach. If you're going to go, and want to keep it vegan, get the basic veggie sushi. Cucumber and avocado were perfect; simple, fresh, abundant, and wrapped in perfectly cooked rice. It's a decent value too, definitely competitive with more upscale options. Service is fast, the people are kind, and it's a fine choice if you're nearby.

It's flavorful without feeling heavy and has become my go-to pho spot. I recently stopped in for the first time in over two years and was honestly surprised by how much the place had changed. We came in August 30th, around 8PM, nothing really out of the norm, ordered our food, I had gotten the (Bo Luc Lac) or shaking beef, and my wife got the spicy beef and lemongrass soup with noodles as usual. The Shaking beef was inedible, absolutely horrible, I'm not sure what cut of beef is used but it was almost like chewing on a steel toe boot, or perhaps a car tire. Spat it out within moments and sent it back, and got it removed from the tab with the server apologizing nonstop, which of course isn't her fault. 5 minutes later, my wife stares at the bowl like she just had a heart attack, and I glance over, and of course, a dead ROACH. Somehow was in the food, and it didn't float up to the top until HALFWAY she was finished eating. Absolutely vile, I cannot comprehend how a roach even got in there, was it already in the big pot of soup they use for other people's orders? Was it alive in our bowl and the steaming hot broth was poured on top and killed it? Safe to say, we didn't make a massive scene; alerted the server, she promptly got the bowl from us, and we didn't need to touch the tab for obvious reasons. The only issue is I would've loved to have spoken to a manager because this is a major health hazard, and roaches can carry E. Coli and Salmonella... I tipped our server cash regardless of the outcome of the food since this wasn't her fault and she did well in taking care of us, but we will never be back, and I suggest everyone reading this review to go elsewhere. A Cockroach in a restaurant bowl of food for a guest? Imagine how many other guests ATE their food without ever seeing one, or if it was in the massive pot how many guests ate orders without realizing there was a roach being boiled in their food. STAY. AWAY. Just disgusting.
