This restaurant was everything I could of asked for. Probably the best restaurant we tried in all of Austin. I'm from Los Angeles, and have been to many high end and hip restaurants, this was definitely up there with some of the best restaurants. Food: Crab tagliatelle is a must! This dish was delicious and everything you can ask for from a pasta. Gnocchi special with Peas and Asperagus is a must. This creamy and feather light dish was packed with so much flavour. Lobster scalloping was very good as well and so was the filet mignon. But best of all were the side of carrots, pear and endive salad and the Cho salad. My drink was the basil cocktail was was phenomenal. Everything was just so so very good. Our waitress Tiagna was an absolute delight in every way. Thank you so much!!!

The lush plants, ambient lighting, beautiful patio seating, and garage doors that open between the bar and patio create a space that feels both vibrant and relaxing. It feels like a perfect place to hang out and stay a while. And then there's the food. The whipped feta appetizer was incredible, and they thoughtfully accommodated my gluten-free request with lavosh-style crackers. The pistachio-crusted halibut was one of the best meals I've ever eaten- perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. And the date cake for dessert was the perfect ending: rich, balanced, and just the right amount of sweet. The service was friendly, attentive, and outstanding from start to finish. My colleague and I were in Austin for work and couldn't find a same-day reservation, but we were able to grab seats at the bar without any trouble. It ended up being the perfect experience. We took an after dinner stroll up to the bridge to see the bats at dusk. It was a perfect Austin evening!

What a wonderful dinner in a beautiful downtown restaurant…read more This visit we decided to just do small plates. A highlight was the tempura lobster bao. If we'd tried this first, I might have kept ordering more until I was stuffed. PEI oysters fresh, well shucked, a great start. Parker house rolls were unexpectedly huge and hard to stop eating. The rolls filled any appetite holes in an appetizer grazing dinner. Shrimp cocktail, with atomic cocktail sauce that found its way onto some bites of rolls. Stone crab, one large each, was fun to try and tasty, but a little sloppy work. Kudos that the wait staff brought fresh how towels each time we dove into a messier course. Great service, great background music, excellent wait staff. Wife described the meal as perfect and I completely agree. Looking forward to returning soon.

During my visit, I ordered a variety of oysters from the raw bar to share with my husband alongside the shrimp and lobster roll. I was super impressed with everything I had. The oysters tasted really fresh and their cocktail sauce here was tasty. The shrimp and lobster roll was different from what I've tried from other places because the filling was cold instead of warm. I thought this change was refreshing and was perfect because it was a hot day. Service here was exceptionally friendly! Our server would check up on us often and was super conversational. I appreciate all the recommendations she shared alongside being really thorough when telling us the difference between the different oysters the restaurant offered. I'd describe the ambiance here as elevated casual.

Shrimp & Grits - this was just ok in my opinion. We've had way better 6. Lastly ended with the creme brulee which was good but the topping of white powdered chocolate (?) and sorbet was such a weird pairing and did not go well. Overall this would be 3.5 stars. Nothing here that I'd crave and want to come back for but not a bad meal either. Convenient location next to so many offices and Westlake, and plenty of parking.

We ordered these expecting just a normal appetizer but they were so much better than that! We returned with my parents who agreed they were phenomenal. Tuna Tartar - 9/10. Super flavorful and the wontons provide a good crunch. Mozzarella Sticks - I give them a 8/10 but my husband gives them a 10/10. Lobster roll - this was just fine to us and not worth $40 in our opinion, but we're also not huge lobster people. Cocktails - 7/10. I liked their central market martini a lot on another visit, but this recent time I got a regular dirty martini and it came out with so much ice. After some waiting I got it strained and it was much better. Ambiance is great too! Comfy place, and I love the paper on the tables.

The happy hour pricing made it even better, so it felt like a great value for the quality. Discovered they had $2 oysters from the gulf so we ordered 6 more of those. These were larger in size than the others and a bit more filling. The oysters were served with horseradish, cocktail and mignonette sauce for a fresh and flavorful bite. Service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out quickly. It's a great spot whether you're meeting friends or just stopping in for a casual bite and a drink. Velvety tender texture and the buttery sauce was amaze. Lots of ingredients in it was worried may not work, but it was stellar. 5 stars - Bavette steak: cooked nicely and maintained its juiciness and char on the outside. 4.5 stars - Scallops: served in a shell with a warm tallow pieces served on top that melted in. Cooked well and tasty. Also fun to dip bread into. 4.25 stars - Bread: warm and soft with a loaf per person wrapped up in a basket. 4 stars - Tuna crudo: standard with bit of spice to it. 3.5 stars - Crab tostada: was fine but not standout. Liked that it was salsa verde and not mayo-y and had little cubes of cucumber for some freshness and crunch. Mini tortilla was good. 3.5 stars - You could use the tasting menu or a la carte to share - Wines were fine - One individual who presented our dishes was very intense and proud of the food and all of the details Midlights: - Their angle is wood fired but didn't taste much of a difference in most of the items - Was hard to hear the explanations of the dishes in the dining room - Lots of menus on the table: food and cocktails each had a loose leaf menu, martini cart had one too, then wine glasses were in the wine book. - Martini cart sounded fun but I got a vesper so guess didn't count to get that service. - Service was hit or miss. Sometimes lots of people around and other times could not get a hold of anyone. Had to ask for a plate change after a few courses. Lowlights: - I love fine dining and been to a good amount of Michelin starred restaurants around the world. but I prefer a bit more personality to my dining experiences. It seemed to be trying to hard to be something with a goal of being super fancy. - Prices bit high for what it was. Fritter was one of the most expensive items cause it had caviar...
