For breakfast I got the burrito with eggs, cheese, mushroom and onion. I omitted the hash. The kids got pancakes and my mom got a waffle. Everything tasted stale. After having visited and thoroughly enjoyed the Stony Brook location multiple times, this was a highly disappointing experience. Popped in for a quick weekend lunch since they had visibly open tables and we were seated right away. The person who showed us to our table led the way, and then dropped menus and utensils in a booth and kept walking. As soon as we made our way through the small restaurant, the absolute filth of the place was the only thing I could focus on. There were food scraps and garbage littering almost every surface of the floor. Our own table had dirty napkins, crumbs and half spilled sugar packets underneath, and the bench needed a wipe down before I could sit. Condiments on the table were dirty and if you moved them, the table was covered with crumbs underneath so no one is moving the condiments to clean. The bathroom was equally disgusting and unkempt. Despite all signs pointing to that we should've left immediately, we were hungry and had been driving for awhile. The food/drink was nothing like the other locations we've visited. In my 20 years of ordering Mimosas, I have never before been asked if I wanted a single or a double. It's prosecco, not shots. I went for the single because my expectations were low, and was presented with a weird little lowball glass of pineapple juice and a jigger of prosecco. That is completely ridiculous to cut a serving in half and call it a "single". For $12 you can buy an entire decent bottle of prosecco, and probably at least three bottles of whatever cheap they're serving. It feels like a cheat not to get a full serving. I ordered the Bootlegger for my meal which is fried chicken, melted cheese, bacon and Russian dressing on a roll. It arrived on a tiny hamburger bun with no dressing. Our server came once to ask how everything was the moment the plates were set down, and left when I told her I hadn't tried it yet. It then took about 10 minutes to obtain a side of dressing once I noticed my sandwich was dry. It was edible, but definitely not worth ever having again. My husband ordered corned beef hash and eggs, which was a plate filled with boxed potato sprinkled with pieces of corned beef. Eggs were fine. We did not use any of the condiments since it was clear they hadn't been swapped out or cleaned, and really tried to get out of this dirty environment as fast as possible. Servers were all concentrated in the bar area, some on phones clearly not busy...so it makes one wonder why no one thought to sweep the floor or wipe down a table. The state of the dining room was truly disgusting and honestly surprising. Our server barely attended to us so we opted not to bring this complaint to her directly and judging by the demeanor of the other staff, there wasn't a manger on duty. The bigger problem here is that if the public-facing front of house can look that way, I can only imagine how the kitchen is kept. We will never return to this location and sincerely hope it can be brought up to the same standards as the others. read more

Lattes, fresh juices, lobster quesadillas, and a "morning meltdown" omelette (egg white/turkey/avo/spinach) rounded out our order. The star of the meal was the buttered and toasted SOURDOUGH. I asked our server if it's baked in-house or precured from elsewhere (and where?!), but they didn't know. Nor did they care to find out. I can't find it on their website either. Stopped by here last Saturday for breakfast because I was in the mood for some diner food. I was not disappointed. The retro theming in here is so cute. Crazy Beans always has excellent food but the service yesterday was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in any restaurant. My husband and I were seated and then, basicall, ignored. It took over 15 minutes for anyone to offer us coffee. The restaurant was busy but their attention seemed to be focused on one table of a large group. The rest of the customers didn't seem to matter. On several occasions I noticed 3 waitresses standing behind the counter talking and laughing. The food came and I had to ask for silverware! If Greenport had a breakfast mascot, it'd be Crazy Beans. Quirky, cheeky, and full of personality -- just like the sailor-core-meets-Beauty-and-the-Beach décor inside. Very fun and cute North Fork little diner. We needed breakfast on a Monday and this fit the bill. It gets very crowded and there is sometimes a wait. We waited about 30 mins and snagged seats at the counter. As you'd expect, the coffee is delicious and all served from unique, fun, adorable mugs! The breakfast itself was good. We were super hungry. They have breakfast cocktails but we had WAYYY too many the night before. The bill was reasonable, relative to where we were. The portions were great and the marble toast was the kicker!! Honestly really disappointing experience. The staff made me feel super rushed the entire time, like I was holding up a line at a subway station instead of ordering coffee and food. This is a great place to stop for delicious breakfast, brunch or lunch. Since I was a little girl, I have been traveling out to orient Point. Greenport is a favorite spot. This restaurant used to be the town soda fountain but closed down. It is now a hot spot for great food, funky art work and delicious specialty lattes. The service is wonderful and friendly!
