Sadly disappointed, the 3 stars are for the friendliness of server and the delicious cosmos. After we gave our order to the server at 6pm, we saw others that arrived after us getting there food orders so I politely went in by the kitchen to ask the server if everything was ok since it was 40 Minutes for spinach artichoke dip, edamame, and dumplings. The asian chef and young man behind the line immediately reprimanded me , saying they dis not get the order until 620, i did not need that, felt very embarrassed. Finally out food came out and it was very uneventful or Flavorful, spinach dip was tiny portions and dry and bland, no taste, dumplings were thrown together and again flavorless. Cucumber salad was good though. Wish it was better experience and more Flavorful. read more

The menu is small and interesting. The food is outstanding. great atmosphere and lovely staff. My friend and I shared two appetizers -an amazing meatball app and an awesome fried order in a birds nest app that were beyond delicious. then we shared an entrée- Cioppino which consisted of Clams, Mussels, Calamari, Cod, Jumbo prawn. Pearl is a truly exquisite dining experience. It is an organic scratch kitchen. So unique! The chef is beyond talented! All tastes and dietary needs are accommodated. I am a vegetarian and the tofu board is out of this world. My husband states the steak "melts in your mouth". There is no place like it. 5 Star for certain. read more

Sat as a reserved 10 on a Friday night. The bartender was great and turned out to be our waitress also. Shed had bar and tables snd handled them all very well. Called and made reservations for 14 people days in advance - talked to a woman who had many questions about our large party and even took down our credit card number..when we showed up, lights were out and door was locked. Tried calling to figure out what was going on and went to voicemail every time. I'm sure there was an explanation for unexpected closing but would have been nice to have gotten a call that our reservations can no longer be accommodated rather than us scrambling to find somewhere who would take a table of 14 last minute. read more

This was our second time coming back to Pearl and it did not disappoint! It's a little off the main road but such a great find with both indoor and outdoor seating available. The menu also changes overtime (so you will never be bored!), and this iteration was special, combining Italian/American/Korean cuisines with somehow everything being good. The restaurant has an intimate vibe and is great for any special occasion. We decided to share some small plates first and I've ranked them below on how we liked them: 1. Honey glazed popcorn chicken - really crispy, light and sweet, great way to start off the meal and easy for sharing 2. Ultra crispy wings (bone-in) - also sweet and crispy, but can probably choose either honey glazed chicken or wings as they are kind of similar 3. Spicy cucumber salad - light and refreshing, good way to break up some of the fattiness from some of the other apps 4. Birds nest fried shrimp ssam - I personally didn't try this but heard great things! 5. Shrimp and chive dumplings 6. Crab and corn dip - on the smaller side but that's really all you need. Good for sharing with a group and the chips are great! 7. Nduja baked clams - comes with 4 or 6. We got 6 but could probably go for 4 if getting other things as they are pretty filling 8. Seafood scallion pancake - still, really good but was hard to finish just because of how rich it was in combination with all of the other things we had ordered For our mains, we ordered the dry aged cheeseburger, mussels, and korean BBQ ssam. If there is one thing you need to get off of the whole menu, it is DEFINITELY the KBBQ ssam -- we tried all of the proteins and the tofu, although the cheapest option, was personally my favorite. It is grilled in a sweet sauce and is perfect for the lettuce wraps. I also enjoyed the meat options, and would probably rank the chicken last in terms of what I would order next time (still delicious!) The plate comes with a mixture of traditional Korean veggie sides and in beautiful presentation. It's definitely a fun dish with an interactive presentation sure to impress! read more

Truly "something rare, fine, admirable and valuable." First time patron and simply loved everything about it. Service was cordial and swift and food was delicious. For those who don't know what Korean food should taste like, this is the spot! The "board" with three tiny side dishes, that are given for free in Korean restaurants, costs $21! The food and rice were Cold! I spoke to the chef and he said that he just started. But it's no excuse for cold food! The waitress had no idea about the menu. And she was serving the bar and tables! In conclusion: food- terrible, service - even worse, ambiance - non-existent with old, ripped chairs! read more

No good. pass this place up.. we sort of got duped in as we were told they were fully booked for the night but they would "get us in" when we came back later. We went .. place never filled up.. maybe 50% capacity. I admire the tactic.. but then back it up with good food! The staff and ambience were very pleasant.. 4 stars.. the food not so much. had a fried oyster app which was dry and fishy.. see bass which was also on the fisher side .. wife didnt love her pasta meal either. Oh boy, this was a night. So, the food was delicious and the service was absolutely lovely, but the yelling from the kitchen the entire evening was out of a Kitchen Nightmares episode. It was Christmas Eve, so I understand if you don't want to be there, but a friend from town said that's par for the course here, and the chef is the owner. If she's reading this, I implore you, treat your back of house better, or at least keep your voice down. I watched 2 tables close out before they were finished because it was such an uncomfortable environment. Frankly, you don't even need to have an open kitchen, but if you do, it's probably best practice to be aware that your guests hear everything you're saying, and for most people, they'd rather enjoy your food and one another's company than listen to you berate your staff on a holiday. read more

Made a reservation because the menu looked amazing. Was a little nervous when my boyfriend and I walked in at 6 on a Saturday night and we were the only ones there. I am born and raised in Greenport and have tried many of the local restaurants. This one is definitely at the top of my list. The food was outstanding. Baked feta and scallion pancakes were so delicious. We shared two of the BBQ boards (pork belly and short ribs). Also amazing! Soon after we sat the place filled up and was packed. Through it all, the service was amazing. Our waiter, Tristan, was so attentive. Definitely a Greenport hidden gem. Do not pass this up! We've already scoured the menu deciding what we are going to try next. Fantastic experience all around! read more

So unprofessional. I never write bad reviews but this is such blatant incompetence. I made reservations over a week ago on their website for 4 people for my husbands birthday only to be canceled by them at 5:09!day before. They charge for cancelations with less than 24 hours , yet they l cancel day before with no call and no explanation, clearly they don't care about their clientele. I called when I got the cancellation text and they didn't bother to answer and didn't call me back. What a horrible way to run a business. Thanks for screwing me and my guests the day before knowing I can't another reservation. First off, you must understand that the food is meticulously prepared to order from scratch at this gem of a place. Secondly, the current staffing situation which nearly every business is experiencing is real. Taking these two factors into consideration, this is not fast food. Change your mindset, relax, enjoy a cocktail, the vibe, and the contagious positive attitude of server Chateau if you are lucky enough. Once your meal does arrive, it will be an experience like no other. Our group of five enjoyed the birds nest and spinach dip apps, the Cioppino, burger, Caesar salad, fried burrata and gnocchi entrees. No disappointment in any of these dishes.
