Ambiance (4/5): The restaurant is located *behind* North Fork Roasting Co. which had live music performing on a Saturday. Due to our party size and our dog, we sat outside near the back parking, which had abandoned-looking seating (broken, dirty, etc.). However, it was shaded and you could hear the music next door. There's also 3 two-person tables near the entrance outside around the corner. The inside is retro and feels like you're dining inside a cozy house and an ice cream bar (Hershey's brand). It felt bustling as a standard diner on a weekend. Service (5/5): When we were walking toward the exterior back, the people outside near side entrance, had warned us that the service was abysmal. We loitered near the corner to let the waitress know we were wanting to get seated in the back (basically away from sight). Once seated, she came back and wiped down the dirty tables (which I'm sure no one usually opts to sit at due to their state). We immediately placed our orders before she went away. I think by doing so, our food came out lightning fast. She also came to check in on us twice throughout our dining. Sausage & Cheddar Flatbread Scramble (3/5): Expect an omelet on a piece of flatbread. The bread did not taste very good (perhaps store bought?) The home fries were deliciously crunchy. Breakfast Burrito (3/5): Nothing really stood out about the burrito. Croissant French toast (3/5): I liked how it wasn't too sweet with the filled cream but it felt like it was missing something. A little far, but we're glad we went. Woke up on a Sunday not wanting to make breakfast, but not knowing exactly what were 8n the mood for. Searched for breakfast spots out on the North Fork, and decided on Country Corner Cafe. Nice scenic drive out on Main Road, ample parking, and very roomy inside. They have a good number of large booths, and we were seated at one of them. The place is spacious and clean, and you're greeted with a huge expanse of warm wood surfaces. An ice cream counter with smaller two-tops looked inviting, but we were there for breakfast/brunch. Lunch starts at 10, which was a good thing since we ended up having burgers. We were surprised by the quite reasonable prices, compared to the what we've been forced to accept lately. It just around 12:00 on a rainy Wednesday and the restaurant was about half occupied with customers. We were greeted and seated immediately in a booth. The decor had a nice country feel to it. They were quite busy with takeout orders also. We looked at the extensive menu and had trouble deciding what to order or should we have breakfast or lunch, everything seemed delish. After some time, we ordered the Ryan's Special, Breaded Chicken Tenders smothered in BBQ Sauce, Melted Cheddar, Bacon and Ranch on grilled potato bread. Our sandwiches came out in a timely manner, was hot and delicious. As I ate, I savored every bite, I think my wife did also. Our waiter was polite and efficient. Personally I loved the crepe but my husband said it was "light on flavor". I think it was pale in comparison to his french toast that's literally LOADED with cream cheese and fresh strawberries but it was the perfect accompaniment to my flatbread. A couple months ago we stayed the weekend in Greenport and, on our way out on that Sunday, we wanted a nice cozy place for breakfast. We found it at the Country Corner Café. You get so tired of the diner look, the diner menu, the diner experience. This was far from a diner. It's what a small hometown café should be. The décor, the friendly staff, the menu all shouts comfort. We just stopped in again for lunch. My girlfriend was in a breakfast mood so we were happy that they serve breakfast all day. As I read on other reviews the CCC will, definitely, be our go to place for breakfast and/or lunch during our weekend trips out east. I believe it would do great as an only breakfast/lunch café but with the ice cream/cake fare and the coffee bar I can see why they do serve dinner. A+ read more
