I recently moved into the neighborhood and was looking for a new barber shop. I found them on Yelp and saw that the rating were good and it only being 2 minutes away I decided to check it out. First parking is a little tricky, it says they have a parking garage but your best bet is to park in the street. They also have two entrances which makes in a bit confusing. I'm guessing either door is ok. I called beforehand to get a price and see if there was a wait. The person who answered sounded young and didn't know the prices so they had to ask. They gave me a pretty standard price and there was no wait. When I got there the owner told me to take a seat and one of his barbers started to cut my hair. What I liked about that is that there is no stiff competition between the barbers. The female barber was good and fast but maybe a little too fast. I like to my hair to look good and for the barber to take there time. Maybe I'm just use to my old barber but I didn't even get a 30 minute hair cut. I didn't get a straight razor for my line up. I got a 2 on top and she only went over it once. I still have hairs sticking up on top. Maybe my last barber just took care of me, I'm not sure. My over all hair cut is still good! Line up is straight. Taper looks nice. Just minor improvements and I would of gave this hair cut a 10/10! Lastly, the barbershop vibe wasn't there. It has great memorabilia and lots of vintage pictures! But only 2 mirrors, 1 for each barber. Sitting in the chair I'm use to having a conversation with my barber or other barbers but they kept to them self. The owner had a few friends there and he just talked to them the whole time. Also it's 82 degrees out today and it was pretty warm inside the building. I couldn't imagine what mid August feels like! Now would I go back, yes. But I would for sure not wait in a 2 or more person wait. If it's not empty I won't wait. I'll make that drive to Walnut for my original barber. Would I bring or tell a friend yes. This place isn't special but it could be! I'll be back in a few weeks. I hope they see this before I return because I like to build a relationship with my barbers! One last thing, when I called and asked for a price they told me one thing and when they charged me it was a dollar more than what they said. I'm not cheap so I paid the dollar but I noticed there is no set price for men or boys haircuts. It all depends on what you get. read more

Great fade! Was in town from DTLA and hands down the best fade and service in Cali! My barber Joe was able to meet my needs in giving me a clean cut/fade while keeping it looking professional with a 1 clip. This was important as I work in the corporate banking industry. Went in for a haircut yesterday had an appointment with Abraham, he is commuted to his appointments I'll give him that. But i wasn't satisfy with his work for one he doesn't offer after shave after a fade or shaving anything facial. Two he doesn't know how to come hair especially when it comes to do a combover due, he combs your hair with his hand what kind of s**t is that? It's called combover for a reason and well 3 he is over priced 20$ for a cut gave him a 12$ dollar tip Cuz I felt sorry for him. I have a couple of tip for you Abraham charge less, use a comb to comb people's hair, offer after shave and go on YouTube to learn something. But overall this my experience there i was completely unsatisfied i drove all the way from long beach ca. Because of people's reviews on yelp but seems that all these people that left a good review to this business never been to a REAL BARBERSHOP. Im not coming HERE EVER AGAIN.
